One episode per week is what kill this show, i don't know how these production companies think
1 episode per week is the industry standard. AFAIK, only the Korean industry releases two per week. Also, 30 minutes per episode is the standard in Pacific-Asia, only the Koreans broke from it and increased it to 60 minutes average.
Rule Number 1 — do not trust K-drama trailers 🫣 They often misrepresent scenes (like voiceover is from Scene…
☝🏽 That.
It's also common practice even in other countries to use scenes that never made the final cut. More often than not, trailers and previews were made earlier too, and usually because they already know what form the final cut will be. Instead of wasting scenes, they use them for trailers and previews.
You know, people like the 2FL are sometimes dangerous.
- it usually is a sign of obsession, not love
So far, the 2FL appears to be just acting like a fool. Did she not realise that spilling the beans of someone often ends up pushing away the person you want to keep for yourself? 😅
1. Never ever spill the secrets of the person you want to own 2. Never ever confront the person they like 3. Never ever do anything that will show you're bullying, directly or indirectly, the person they like (like whispering to their family, or finding every fault you can)
That person you like will hate you to the ends of the earth even if you get what you want. They will never ever love you, not even like you. They'll just pretend and "do their job" because (1) they were forced into it; and (2) to protect the person they truly love.
It's the same in reverse where two guys are fighting for the same girl, most especially when it comes to throwing punches. Even if you are the boyfriend, never ever throw the first punch against someone trying to woo your woman unless she gives you permission (or there's danger already, or sexual harassment obviously). It's how you handle the situation peacefully that will help her stay focused. If you throw the first punch, she'll be confused, and you both will fight about it for days. If you think you're so macho, then take a few punches first, you're so macho anyway.
Going back to the 2FL. She needs to realize that the name of the game is getting his mind and heart to only focus on you. Not confronting the other girl, nor using your connections to his family.
If the 2FL is fine with getting the 1ML even if he will only pretend, then she's sick, and this should be reclassified as melodrama. 😁
Actually, P is the correct pronunciation. However, not an aspirated P like how Germanic and Romance languages…
I was actually surprised the subtitle translator gave extra effort in the romanization. In other shows, they don't adjust it. But you'll hear them pronounce it the same.
Personally, I never saw Yeong Ran as a logic person from the beginning. I can see how she comes off that way.…
Ahh! I like that, a very good assessment.
I agree, she is masking, trying to look strong and all. But because it was only that, she easily cracked against someone as the Professor, and one specializing in manipulation.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I love it! 🙇🏽
I just remembered. There was another character who was suspicious but they never showed him again.
Remember in the episode where conractual workers arrived in the town as well as the fake school driver?
- one particular contractual worker was given a focused, and he was keeping his head down - when the ML was looking at the room of the workers, the camera shot was the contractual worker quietly checking the ML peeking at them - after that we never saw that character again
Initially, I thought it was the hired CCTV destroyer, but their body built and hair are different.
Am I seeing things or we have another mystery unsolved?
Could he be the secret bodyguard to look after HyeJi to ensure she's safe? But then again, he miserably failed if so.
Got any news link for that? We need it for official lists in other platforms.
Thank you.
It appears that they're still considering it, so nothing definite yet. They're just talking about it informally over lunch and drinks.
I guess that means we will have to keep it marked as "Ended" in various sites like TMDB and TVDB, until the talks become formal.
They first need to think of new stories before they can pitch it to the network so they can get a budget and start the casting. Sigh, it's going to take a while. We'll probably hear something in 2026.
It's likely the Game Master, the one who created the game.
In European mythologies, there's a common plot where someone tricks a god to make something not realizing they're creating the prison the people or other gods wants the Game Master to be imprisoned.
After all, as a Game Master, they'll create the hardest game. And as a sinister GM, there will be traps and rules. The best place to imprison a GM is in their own game.
Recent TV series on streaming platforms often go for open endings. If the show gains enough attention and popularity…
That's how things should be in the industry because it's often localised. Not like in novels where it is easy to expand the story elsewhere yet still in the same world/universe.
They can avoid reboots too, which often are not better than the original.
LOL. The Game Master was trapped in his own game? I wonder why. There's a story behind there, and it appears the Game Master hates the world. It looks like he is out to have his revenge.
Or, maybe, the game was a prison. The GM was tricked to create the game and then tricked again so they can imprison the GM there. Similar to how European mythlogies usually go.
There's a high potential for this franchise. If they don't plan on creating sequels, then can license it to other countries to create a local spin-off.
Later, the various winners from different countries somehow met in a resort and ended up playing the game again. But this time, they are all there to save someone left behind, in other words, they're competing instead of helping each other.

Which one is better? It depends.
If you learnt Western English, use Revised Romanization, so you pronounce the some letters as close as possible to how they actually sound.
If you learnt Philippine English, or grew up in a country whose pronunciations are similar to Korean, then use McCune–Reischauer Romanization.
HOWEVER, it is strongly discouraged to learn a new language based on Romanizations. No Romanization, even in Nihongo, Pinyin, Hebrew, can truly capture the actual pronunciation.
Learn it directly. Forget about Romanizations. It is the sounds that matter.
Does anyone know why Netflix translates Busan as 'Pusan'? Was it called that a long time ago or is this a translation…
Actually, P is the correct pronunciation. However, not an aspirated P like how Germanic and Romance languages pronounce it: aspirated P.
In RR, he base consonants like ㅂ and ㄱ became B and G respectively because Koreans hear aspirated/unaspirated far more than if it is voiceless or voiced.
For example: ㄱ
- ㄱ is voiceless and unaspirated = a.k.a. plain - k is voiceless and aspirated - g is voiced and unaspirated
When they created the RR, they went for the voiceless option because it's easier for Westerners. But you'll often hear native Koreans say it is actually much closer to "g", because naturally, unaspirated/aspirated is more important.
I said Westerners because in many Asian countries, it's actually different. For example, all of the 200+ Philippine languages and dialects:
- k is voiceless and unaspirated exactly like ㄱ when it is the first letter; a.k.a. plain - The same with p, our "p" is exactly the same as ㅂ when it is the first letter.
When you pronounced k and b (to mention two) as unaspirated, it does sound like g and p as native Koreans often say. However, for those who learned American, Australian, and British English, it's different (and often they can't make the correct sound) because it's aspirated for them.
Philippine English pronunciations are heavily influenced by Philippine languages, hence, those who learnt Philippine English often find it easier to learn speak and hear Korean.
So, going back, technically speaking "p" is correct, that is if you know what a plain (voiceless and unaspirated) "p" sounds like. Otherwise, just use "b".
Lastly, before 2000, the official Romanization was McCune–Reischauer Romanization which were designed by two Americans.
While Revised Romanization was developed by Koreans.
Like …

When he learned she followed the FL, he probably talked to her to keep him updated or he'll drag her back. 😅😅
And the attorney was suspicious also. He only checked if HyeJi arrived safe. It seems he also know who she really is.

Yeah, they're not needed in the story. 😆
