Title Mouse Spoiler
Episode 6
These two psychopaths/geniuses probably already know, or at least suspecting, each other but they are only showing us the story from the perspective of Detective Moo Chi.

This is definitely a cat-and-mouse game. Who can outdo each other. Who will end up being the worst psychopath or the best genius.

I said it before, Ba Reum was faking that he can't take seeing dead animals. I also said that he's probably the serial animal killer. He's in the police force not because he wants to but because he needs to be closer to the investigations.

However, there is another possiblity.

Ba Reum probably turned into a psychopath after his grueling encounter. Remember he was hit by a hammer in the head, this could very well have had damaged him and triggered his psychopath side. One thing that was weird about him was that he isn't exactly showing any "genius" ability, a very typical result of having raised in a family and/or environment where it was not honed/trained.

After his grueling encounter, getting hit in the head, it's possible his psychopath/genius "brain" finally woke up and he won't be able to control it.

However … another possiblity is both of it are correct.

He probably is the serial animal killer and was indeed faking it, but that's how far he did things. After his grueling encounter, he's probably no longer have control over himself and will start "upgrading" his methods and targets.

Don't forget, in episode 1, they established that the psychopath gene and the genius gene can not be distinguished, that was the reason why their attempt to pass a new law failed. At least as far as this show is concerned, the two is inseparable. All it takes is a trigger for a genius to become a psychopath.

So … who is the "Mouse"?

What I don't understand, and I hope they clarify this, is if those sent back to the past were only copies, then…
Ahh, very good one: "like a copy".

It could still be the "future-original" but indeed, unstable thus becoming something like a "copy" or is "inferior" to the past-original.

I love that. ^_^

Title Sisyphus: The Myth Spoiler
I'm assuming after the latest episode that the first scene in episode 1 is part of a different timeline. I'm pretty…
If I remember correctly, when her mother closed the shelter door, she wasn't bleeding and she was closing the left side (facing her). In episode 10, she was bleeding and closing the right door (facing her). I might be wrong … I'm too lazy to find which episode the bunker was first shown.

However, if what I'm remembering is correct, then the past was already changed.

The question is, which trip? I'm thinking this is her second trip only.

1. First trip: this was not shown yet. Basically, the first trip was the version who wrote the diary.

2.a. Before the second trip: Seo Hae found the dead body of her first trip as well as her diary.

2.b. This is important: when she touched the bones of her dead first trip, quantum entanglement occurred. All the memories of the first trip merged with hers. Then there was also the diary which helped with remembering things as well as instructions on what to do differently.

2.c. Then she made her second trip which was what was shown in Episode 1.

Since she already started changing things, possibly as instructed by the diary, things started to change. For example, the bunker scene changed (again if I'm remembering things correctly wherein the first bunker scene was different from what was shown in Episode 10).

So, the scene showed in Episode 10 wherein Seo Hae future-original made the trip without letting her father know could very well be the third trip.

The reason I'm assuming the Episode 1 trip was already the second was because her father already knew. The instructions he gave her was because he wants her not to meet Tae Sul because he already saw her die. In other words, it can not be the first trip. He was calmer in Episode 1 but in Episode 10 he was mad, for the exact same reason, he already knew what's going to happen to her.

The question then is, why is she seeing the precursor to her 3rd trip (as shown in episode 10)? I think the clue is when it explained that "she's traveling in different timelines". She's seeing the future based on what was so far changed. That future will only happen if Tae Sul fails to bring her back.

This means that, we are still following her second trip.

BUT, there is a simpler explanation.

The scene in episode 1 was after what was shown in episode 10. Meaning, her father followed her. Remember in episode 1 she was sleeping? It took a lot of time for her to get a number assignment. Obviously, you can't just "upload". You need to register, you need to go through some session and training. All "uploaders" have a mission (or instructions if will). Eventually, her father caught up with her, and stayed with her until the day of her "upload" which we saw in Episode 1.

If that is the case, then she is not seeing a possible third trip, rather, she is remembering the events before she made her second trip (with the diary). We still do not know anything about the first trip other than the first trip was the source of the diary and the memories.

Title Sisyphus: The Myth Spoiler
Ep10
What I don't understand, and I hope they clarify this, is if those sent back to the past were only copies, then the originals are still in the future. What's stopping them from sending another copy?

Basically, according to ep10:
1. Future-Original gets "uploaded"
2. Copy is then "downloaded" into the past

What happened to the future-original? Why are they acting like the "copy" is the last copy ever, as if the future-original is gone? Do they die when they "upload"?

If we are going to assume it is so … then it means in the universe of Sisyphus, all types of teleportation destroys the original, and when they appear elsewhere, it is only a copy.

This is similar to what is usually asked in Star Trek and other related science fiction. This is also similar to the magic show entitled "The Prestige".

In Star Trek and other science fiction shows, the idea is always "the original is disassembled and [supposedly] reassembled in the target destination". When you re-appear, are you still the "original" or are you a "copy"?

In "The Prestige", the original survives, so the main character devised a way to ensure that the original dies so only the copy survives.

It appears that Sisyphus is playing on that concept. Whenever they "upload", the original is disassembled or disappear or dies. Then when they "download", it is no longer the original but a "copy" only. Which would explain why they can not get close with their past selves because the copy will disappear. It would also explain why they treat the "copy" as if it is the last version of the person.

How about you, what are your thoughts?

Yeah, there's definitely a wildcard. If ever there really is, I hope they don't drop that info yet and concentrate on the two confirmed characters first. It's more enjoyable if we can't predict the next twists and turns.

Yeah.

There are other shows which shows "part 2 will air shortly" too but kisskh doesn't list them as "32 episodes".

MDL needs to be consistent, it's very confusing. I tried submitting correction in another show but it was rejected, even after explaining that the premier date and end date proves there were only 16 episodes.

I see. So in Korea if there are commercial breaks it ends up being multiple episodes?

Interesting. Are there other countries with a similar concept?

I mean, shows in Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, and Western countries doesn't divide a single episode into multiple episodes just because they inserted a commercial break.

Why is it listed as having 32 episodes (35mins per episode), when everywhere else it's listed as 16 episodes (1 hour each)? Wikipedia, IMDB, Trakt.tv, themoviedb.org, all listed it as 16 episodes.

will it be psychopath vs psychopath or will it be two psychos joining hands and killing for fun or for the "greater"…
I'm still suspecting there is another psychopath/genius, not just the two of them.

And yes, it will definitely go down as a psychopath/genius vs psychopath/genius.

Remember how they pointed out that the Science can not differentiate between a psychopath and a genius because both genes looks identical? It was the very reason why the bill they want to pass was rejected.

If you play on that, it means that people with the psychopath/genius gene can become either way. So, yes, it is a choice.

With the two confirmed characters who were born with a psychopath/genius gene, it will go down into who's better between the two. Could it be Officer Jung crossed the line who shouldn't have crossed, kidnapped the kid, to force the real killer out? Pschopaths/geniuses hate it when someone takes the credit, and usually that's when they make a mistake.

Or, is Officer Jung involved in other killings to keep his desire to kill under control? Him puking whenever he sees anything dead is a very good cover up. People around him telling him he is not fit to be a police officer and yet he chose it could very well be a sign that he wants to be an officer so he can keep track of what the authorities know.

Officer Jung was also a "big fan" of Detective Ko. Any reason why?

Why would Dr. Han be the automatic serial killer? Just because his father was the "Head Hunter"? Then that would mean everyone who have a psychopath/genius gene are serial killers. Couldn't he be hunting the serial killer himself because he knew he'll be blamed for it? Or, maybe it is his "calling" to hunt the serial killer down?

Sure, the monologue in the early episodes said "I ended up killing" (paraphrasing). What if it means on the operating table? Noticed how he tells suicidals how to kill themselves effectively the next time they try it?

Also … let's not forget that when the two of them crossed paths, they were both wearing the same hooded jacket, have the same built, and their facial features were similar with the hood on.

Personally, I think Dr. Han is a serial killer. But dismissing officer Jung as not a killer is far too early to do so. Remember the serial cat killer they showed once but forgotten later? That could very well be officer Jung, he was probably venting out his desires on animals instead of people.

In real-life psychoanalysis, murderers usually start small, with animals. It is always out-of-curiosity or out of fear. Sooner or later, those who are "weak", upgrades that desire until they become a serial [human] murderer. While those who are "strong", can keep it under control and found other ways to vent it out.

Another clue. The title of the show is "Mouse", yet they had an episode about a serial cat killer where officer Jung was revealed to supposedly pukes when seeing anything dead and everybody thinks he's not fit to become an officer.

Cat-and-mouse game = psychopath/genius vs. psychopath/genius. Who will win? Will it be the mouse? Or will it be the cat? In a cat-and-mouse game, both the cat and mouse are geniuses. Both are always upgrading their methods to catch each other as well as to take revenge against each other.

Dr. Han is definitely the "mouse" since they've shown that connection already. I submit that officer Jung is definitely the "cat". But the ironic thing here is that, the "mouse" was the predator when they established the connection with Dr. Hang; while the "cat" was mutilated when they connected it to officer Jung.

Is Dr. Han trying to survive and perhaps not a serial murderer then? Is it really officer Jung? Or maybe… just maybe… there is a third psychopath/genius in their midst?

;P

Remember, this is a show about the "psychopath"/"genius" gene. There are two people born who had a father with a "psychopath"/"genius" gene.

In other words, the show is going to play on the possibility that these two sons are both a psychopath and a genius, proving that we can not predict who will become a psychopath and/or a genius. (Which is already happening in other places.)

The other point they're playing at is that a psychopath/genius will do anything to get what they want. We have the serial killer and then we have someone who is hell bent on finding the person who killed the grandmother.

This will pit the two pschopaths/geniuses against each other. These two will do everything to outdo each other. It will become a battle of the brains and wits and who's willing to go cross the line they set for themselves they'll never cross (every person, even psychopaths/geniuses have boundaries they'll never cross).

The stories they used are true-to-life. The characters were also true-to-life. ;PI love the way Hyun Seung loves.…
> "the story they used wasn't true to life, and even if it was, the way it was portrayed was hard to watch"

So I guess the experiences we had were dreams?

> "unrequited love is extremely painful and often occurs because people don't realize that the person they like doesn't give a crap about them"

Not really. There are people who are happy to love someone from afar and they are happy about it. It does not occur because they fail to realize that the person they love doesn't give a crap about them, they love someone from afar because they chose to do so and they are fully aware the person doesn't give a crap about them.

> "the ml didn't ever realize that song-ah didn't like him back as much or wasn't as invested in him as he was in her"

Oh, he is fully aware. That was why he was making it easier for her. You see, he made a choice to pursue her regardless of the fact that she will never be able to come close to the way he loves her. What he failed to consider was that it will eventually affect him. Now how he handles that stage (when it starts to affect him and their relationship) is the real battle.

Love is a choice. Entering into a relationship is a decision. You can not say "if only I knew this and that" later because you made a choice, you made a decision, and you acted on it. You also can not say "I love you but I don't like this and that about you", that's not love at all.

There are always two unique individuals who agrees to enter into a romantic relationship. If you do so, then you are accepting all of their being regardless of their flaws and shortcomings, regardless of their past, mistakes, and social status.

For example, I am autistic (aspergers syndrome to be exact). If you can not love me for who I am then why enter into a relationship with you? We will have endless fights down the road.

Lastly, there is no such thing as "loving blindly". When you enter into a relationship, you and the other party agreed to it. Both of you are fully aware and know the answers to why, what, how, when, where.

^_^
