It is a copy-paste from Mr. Queen and the Great Doctor dramas, but still good. It is silly and stupid to keep…
Time travelis a very common genre globally. If this show is a copy of Mr. Queen, then Mr. Queen is a copy of every other time travel fiction out there.
Ngl hated the extended time between communication. They could have shown live translation while they speak Mandarin.…
It's the current demand in productions, proper language for a foreigner who don't speak another language.
Even in Western and on Japan, it is the demand.
It is now frowned upon if a character who don't speak a certain language is suddenly speaking it for the sake of making it easier for the actors and the audience.
I'm suspecting it has to do with the idea that "big names will never take on anything other than main roles because it's demeaning for their career". A few years back, there was an account arguing about that because people were submitting corrections to the cast list, and their fave actor was actually "support" only. π They won the edit war, MDL sided with them. LOL.
Earlier this year, there was a show where a character was marked as a "support" when that character only showed up in two episodes. Meanwhile, characters who appeared frequently and had far more screentime were marked as "guests". π€£
LOL. MDL listed MiNa as "main role", she didn't even had 10 minutes screen time and her character was only there as a plot device: to get FL to discover Seoul Perms and to see a snow globe. π They really don't understand their own labels. π€ͺ
Truth.But at the same time, it is reality. Very few actually honors confidentiality. Humans cannot hold something…
Yes, but again that's being human. She trusts them with her life she can casually talk about things with them.
There are very few people who can actually keep their mouth shut outside of formal training, most especially when it comes to spouses and best friends. In this case, it's a BFF (best friends forever) situation. They trust each other that they'll bring things to their grave.
Also, if one is worried that their bff will tell their bff, then you shouldn't consider them bff. Unfiltered information shared with bffs cannot go outside of them. If they want to share it, they're obligated to filter information. They cannot be bff if they can't be trusted.
If anything, the important criteria is, "Are we placing them in harm's way if we share unfiltered information?" If no and you trust them with your life, then you have an option to "open up" or "share the load".
In the Western show, Foundation, in S03 the robot had to share with a human all the things she's been keeping secret for centuries. She's a robot and she has a need to do so. Her only advantage, they nave tech to remove those memories after their session, and return it for the next session, so the robot doesn't have to worry about higly confidential State secrets leaking. But it's similar the need to share unfiltered information.
It's so hard to explain. Personally, I have my internal trust ratings. I know who will bring my unfiltered information to their graves, and who can't be trusted even with hypothetical information. Trust is everything. Like that robot from Foundation, we occasionally need to share to keep ourselves mentally and emotionally healthy.
Ehh. Non-spicy β bland. ππ½
Bland = no MSG.
Even in Western and on Japan, it is the demand.
