Title Buried Hearts Spoiler
I guess Eunnam's Father( Yeo Sunho) is actually Dongju's Biological Father (via Affair)and Heo Ildo is Eunnam's…
It's the other way around.

In the photo scene, Mr. stepfather was looking at his friend while carrying the kid. He knew the kid is his son but cannot reveal it for some reason, probably because he knew his benefactor, Mr. manipulator, will kill them.

Unfortunately for him, Mr. Manipulator was already pissed at him because he's losing focus and already planned on killing them.

To ensure he'll do the job, the truck driver showed him a fake DNA result. It confused him. It angered him. And it gave him a reason to just kill them all "out of revenge". Then he was forced to marry FL's mother who happens to have a crush on him but he never liked her, the one he likes is the ML's mother.

Also, Mr. Manipulator said after the fish scene, "he better be better than his father". He aed his wife are the only ones who know who ML's real father is. And the only one that is starting to be useless for Mr. Manipulator is Mr. Stepfather. So, the "father" he was talking about was him.

Yeah, looks like we're right, stepfather looking at his friend carrying the kid ML was him being jealous because he is actually his son.

The ML's mother is the one the stepfather really likes, not the FL's mother. But for some reason, the ML's mother kept it a secret, and the FL's father is close to ML's mother.

Meanwhile, the FL's mother is so jealous she told her true love, the stepfather, that she wish her husband, the kid, and mother, are all dead.

And then the old guy manipulator comes into the picture with intent to actually kill them. Probably because Mr. Stepfather is losing his focus. So, he killed them. But to ensure stepfather never loses focus again, he showed him a fake DNA test.

It made him angry and gave him a reason to kill the kid too.

Then the FL's mother found out. The old guy manipulator forced his puppet to marry the FL's mother and create a story about sohe has been in love with her ever since but FL's father got to her first.

Mr. Stepfather still doesn't know that the ML is his bio son and they're all being played by the old guy manipulator. No one does.

Remember the manipulator said, "he needs to be better than his father". That father he is talking about is no other that Mr. Stepfather, who he cannot control properly. While the ML created the best scenario for him to get the company of the FL's grandfather without the ML realizing he's actually helping him.

In short, ML's father is Mr. Stepfather. The FL and ML are not related.

E07 was so enjoyable, especially the diner scenes.Speaking of which, what's the address of the diner? Do they…
I can't find information on that diner. Even the name, it's probably fictional. I wonder what is the real name of it.

E09.

They didn't have to fake / green screen the ferris wheel shots, especially if the editing isn't high tech. They could've shown clearly the skyline if they made it real.

Other than that, enjoyable episode.

I am not saying it is not if viewed from an observer's perspective and the observer's standards. However, you have to see it from the ML's and FL's perspectives to understand why he thinks they are "the same" and "not the same".

Remember, this is a fictional story. We are watching to understand the story and the characters. To unlock what is in the mind of the author. It's no different from reading books and discussing it during book club meetings, where we put ourselves in the shoes of the characters and the author(s).

Also, obviously, it is based only from E01–04 since those are the episodes currently available as of this post, which I assumed was a given. 😉

judge from hell
There were, but I'm not one to remember titles.

For example, there was one about a genius guy (well, genius and psychopathy are two sides of the same coin) who's killing people, even children, just because. He's in fact a serial killer that no one knows about because he is a family man and very successful in life.

Someone probably remembers the title. I think he also skins people alive, or maybe it was another K-drama.

However, what makes them diffrent from each other is the FL has a sense of justice while the ML is selfish.

From E01–04, the FL only killed out of justice and selflessness. While the ML killed out of selfish reasons like hatred and covering up for someone he needs for his own survival.

You have to look at it from the perspective of the genius/pscyhopath and you'll see what's driving them. Don't look at the act or how it was done.

The FL:
1. Self-defense triggered her desire to.use murder as an outlet. (Assuming it was the first.)
2. The nurse. She was blackmailing her, and she killed patients. She probably would've killed the gang leader if she didn't realize there's more money by blackmailing the FL. The FL did everyone a favour by removing the nurse from existence.
3. The ankle guy. Well, we know what it was about.

The ML:
1. He murdered his "friend" because of hatred. He probably had enough and thought, "it's time to get out of his clutches" and/or "it's time I get paid properly, let's begin with your classic car".
2. The police officer. He has to be eliminated because he's aware of the dog breed the FL has. He needs the FL for his own survival. He did not do it for the FL, because of some sense of justice, he did it for selfish reasons.

The correct question to ask is "why do they kill". It's not a "how" question. This is what I think the ML is talking about. And this is why the ML sees himself as superior than the FL; which the FL still has not realize.

The FL is thinking about superiority with the ML through skills. But the ML is talking about another. He kills for selfish reasons, even if it's a cop. He'll drop anyone once he no longer needs them or can't control them.

The FL on the other hand doesn't kill unless she finds a reason to, and she's actually showing self-control. Remember ankle guy? She could've removed him early on but did not. Seeing him beating his sister was not enough for her to do so. The final straw for her was shutting down the restaurant.

But the ML? "This cop will connect the dots, you're dead. But before that, I'll torture you first."

They are the same in that, they are both geniuses. And "genius" and "pschopathy" are two sides of the same coin.

They are different because the FL has a sense of justice, while the ML kills because of.selfish reasons.

At least as of E04.

Why didn't they just carry the ladies on their shoulders? Did the PDs disallow that option to make it more challenging?…
Yep, I noticed that too. They were intentionally failing.

It's my initial thought as well, but I recalled they've been carrying people on their shoulders, if given a chance, in many of their previous episodes through the years.

And the men, they should be able to carry the lighter guys and ladies.

For the idols, it's fine, they probably want to play safe. Then again, there were far more dangerous stuff they played before even with guest celebs.

Just weird. Hehe.

As expected of VIVA, because they're not tied to any network, they have a wider latitude. They also know how to produce quality shows and how to nurture young talents.
