Watched episode 7 and 8. And I am glad the tide seems to be turning for the second leads. I just hope Gu Xiao doesn't make San San do all the work with building up the cafe while he relaxes.
So I made a discussion thread with some points highlighting the differences between the novel and drama for those who are interested. Just check the discussions above.
And Xiao Zhan sang for Yang Zi's birthday - I can't with these 2. What a wonderful friendshiphttps://twitter.com/xzTheatreActor/status/1504735979164569602?s=20&t=h5DhVSNk2YHx_QZ52j9ZyQ
Just finished watching episode 5 and I have to say I am warming up to the second leads relationship too. Both of their characters are portrayed as flirty characters. Most dramas I have seen have the player character get together with a quiet, shy character, Whereas this drama has 2 player characters constantly trying to outwit each other. Their relationship is going to be chaotic and I want to see how it develops. I still don't like San San's makeup though.
Yeah I think they are the official sponsor cause they posted abt it when the drama started airing. Also during 2019 when the drama was filming, Yang Zi was one of the endorsers.
Saw a comment about episode 5 that made me laugh so I am posting it here. Usually in rom com dramas, the male lead chases after the female lead or the female lead chases after the male lead, but here it is the father in law who runs away and both male and female leads have to chase after him.
As someone who read the novel, initially the changes felt a bit jarring. But after reading posts about why the changes were necessary. I am really liking the story progression so far. One thing I especially like is that the drama shows the perspective of the ml's thoughts and behaviour too. Whereas the novel was focused on the fl's perspective and how she fell in love with the fl. This is why I really like drama or movie adaptations of books because you get to see whole different perspectives of different characters.
I saw this comment on a site and it was totally agreeable . "No. Omg. No the doctor doesn't hit on his patient's…
About the unsupervised child part, they do show Qiu Qiu's mom hanging around him and looking after him in episode 3. So I don't think he was fully unsupervised.
On a happier note, I also found those teacups on aliexpress (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1175538148.html)
