On Crash Landing on You Jan 11, 2020
The leads, director, and screenwriter are among my favorites, and they are not disappointing me, nor am I concerned about ratings, especially only half-way through the series. Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin are skilled, beautiful, and charming; the rest of the cast is solid with plenty of range and skill of their own. I’m having a good time.

Person Hwang Bo Ra
Delightful actress who makes me smile and settle in to enjoy her work every time I see her in the cast.
On Secret Garden Jan 7, 2020
For me, this is one of the truly great KDramas: terrific writing, direction, cast, and of course the two splendid leads. I’ve rewatched it several times over the past 8 years and fall in love all over again. It’s charming, romantic, funny, and also carries more than one message, with a light hand, but they are there.
On Confidential Assignment Jan 3, 2020
Like Gong Yoo, Hyun Bin can also turn in a solid action performance with the added North-South Korea buddy picture in this case—and gritty, silent Hyun Bin especially gorgeous. The film is exciting, bloody, and funny with no pretensions: an enjoyable popcorn movie with the Hyun Bin/Yoo Hae-Jin team witty and very effective.
On Yoo Hai Jin Jan 3, 2020
Person Yoo Hai Jin
Wonderful actor in everything he does. Always smile when I see him in the cast because he’s going to be delightful.
On The Negotiation Jan 3, 2020
Two of my favorite lead actors, and a stellar cast backing them. But even they couldn’t save a mediocre plot and predictable outcome. I still enjoyed it, just not a great film.

This has every element of a good melodrama- actors are good, story is reasonably ok, compelling hospice supporting…
Totally agree on each point. It started so well, but that sweet kid is nowhere in the adult, and I don’t care for the actor either who rarely changes expression. Her brother drives me nuts: I fast forward thru all his scenes. The whole thing makes me sad because I’m watching for HJW who is wasted in this mediocre series. But the kid-spaceman was adorable; closure made me cry.

And follow up weeks later: the reveal is not until end of ep 12, after predictable side plots I fast forward thru. This should have been a shorter series, earlier reveal, or even a movie. I don’t really care anymore. What a shame the actors are wasted on this manipulative plotting. I’ll finish because of HJW, but really disappointed.

One of my favorite directors. Thanks for bringing us so many wonderful dramas to enjoy.

One of my favorite screenwriters. Thanks for the joy you give your fans. And for the strong women and the men who love them.

That was so funny and perfect to longtime fans. It’s great when writers can enjoy some gentle self-satire.
On Crash Landing on You Dec 16, 2019
Screenwriter, director, and leads among Korea’s finest—the only thing I wish is I had the patience to wait until it’s complete and binge it deliciously. But she is so adorable, and he is so hypnotic. That voice. Goodness. At any rate, I’m happily dug in with no preconceptions or other comments until we’re finished. :)

Loved this so much too! I don't understand all the hate this drama has been getting
Agree. And so many dropped it. If a series doesn’t work for me, I quietly move on without comment. People who love the series don’t need my snark, esp if I didn't even finish it. I’m glad I stayed with Vagabond, and the ending was full circle cool and not open at all, IMO.

Thanks, Baebae! I read your review, too, and totally agree. This is a brilliant series on another level, and you’re so right about LSG’s acting. I too hope we get 2nd season. Usually not needed, and most of us are content with one, but that full circle was so powerful. Yeah, its coming. ;) Nice to meet you.

A bit of lag in the middle before it takes off. I’m not a fan of explosions and car chases, so if I say I really enjoyed the characters and action, then there must be more. And there is: heart, compassion, and justice with the survivors stepping up as well as the main characters. Recommended for a weekend binge with two great stars (Suzy has grown) and terrific supporting cast. And that open end people are talking about is actually circular, making perfect sense. This complex thriller leads to an even more intense level in the last 4 episodes, and I can’t wait for season 2.

Outstanding cast and writing, though I also agree with others about the dip in the middle. It probably could have been cut to 12 eps, but still strongly recommended. HSK can hold his own with any actors in the world, but SKJ and KHJ also superb as is the supporting cast.
On Tune in for Love Nov 9, 2019
Like most fans, I love both leads and was happy to see the film on Netflix tonight. I enjoyed it, but felt the writing and directing were off—uneven and gappy. The actors are better than the material.

One of SK’s greatest actors. If he's in the cast, I sit back and smile...because I’m going to love him again.
On Hotel del Luna Oct 28, 2019
I like the series, but was more taken with the characters from the past, which I thought was more interesting than the present. Enjoyed the surprise bit at the end, and the guest star rocked.
On Kill Me, Heal Me Oct 9, 2019
Like millions, I love beautiful, brilliant Ji Sung and this series he is so wonderful in. For me, he is the greatest of Korean actors, which is saying a lot because I think they’re the best in the world today, and have at least a dozen favorites. (I also love his wife, Lee Bo Young: “Mother” is extraordinary.) And I love Park Seo Joon as well, so “Kill Me, Heal Me” is a real treat. It is my 3rd time watching it. Decided to after “Doctor John” and a very rough week I’m healing from— pun intended. It was the right decision: Already a classic in every sense and one of the greatest of all KDramas—Settle in for the ride.
