Okay plot hole! He was so nonchalant about her "first" death but loooved her the second time? Like he wooed her and almost married her yet when she fell off the bridge he just stood there watching but the next time she came into his life he fell head over heels in a day? Like why?
Btw I just saw this thread on part 2 : by annieannie 5 days agoMaster List of Reddit discussions on LLTGhttps://www.reddit.com/r/CDrama/comments/wrc3qt/like_like_the_galaxy_master_list_of_discussions/
Whoa, thanks for this.
Not sure if it's going to help my obsession though loll...the problem is that I'm not able to really watch anything without making (baseless) comparisons!
If you are into sports/noona romance? Falling into you by Wang An Yu has good reviews tho I have not seen yet.
I'm pushing through with IS but i keep watching random clips of dramas on youtube. Nothing as great yet - I'll probably rewatch AoL and EL after IS. Oh and the house of dragons loll. All that scheming gets the romance right out of your system!
How the heck do i get over this? I watched LLTG right after LBFaD so that's two amazing dramas in a row!
I'm trying to watch Immortal Samsara but it's just not as great - acting wise, production, fight scenes, etc. I mean LB's fight scenes were epic! And don't even get me started on the way he looked at CYY.
Despite being slow burn and zero type skinship, both actors in LLTG made my heart and stomach feel all funny throughout. Side note: I just found out the ML is like 21 so I'm upset at all my drooling. *facepalm*
Anyone has any recommendations? I'm kinda trying to push through with IS because the withdrawal is real!
I actually quite like this Drama. But I do think the ML gaslit the FL into thinking she was in love with him.
Basically. I didn't love this maybe because i like my MLs to be irrevocably in love and willing to support the FLs in everything - think legend of fuyao, DoTS, etc. And of course, the FLs should not be as doe eyed as Shan Shan since that just gives a very weird, dominating type of vibe to the show. Also, you should read the translated book of this show plus the little side stories that are at the end of the Love 020 book about both the couples.
the 2nd lead in this drama had all the qualities of a typical male lead of kdrama.. short-tempered, arrogant and…
So the second ML did show some character growth later on but i feel that it was too little, too late. Remember the hospital scene in the beginning? I hated how he treated her like a child and basically told her to go home. All their subsequent interactions were more of the same - of course, until the ML came along loll. Doesn't that show how he was basically dismissive of her and only chose to open his eyes to reality after he saw her getting on with someone else?
Besides the MLs looks, there really isn't anything worth wasting time on in this drama. Its the same old story, the leads have zero chemistry, its an insult to slow burn romance (there's slow but no burn pretty much), the FL was seriously unaware of how the world works - for e.g. she should've reported the ML to the authorities when he tied her up and gotten temp custody, but of course that wouldve required brain cells. The second leads had as much, if not more screen time than the main leads. And while their story was cute, it was like watching two separate dramas smooshed into one hot mess. The only saving grace was Aom who is super cute. Honestly, she shouldve just been the main FL.
NiNi. I managed to finish it thanks to her. Story wise it was really boring I also never get the hype
I agree, she's one of the better FLs out there (both the actor and the character). Still, does she show any chemistry with Jiu Chen or vice versa? I've seen plenty of dramas with boring storylines and oft repeated tropes but as long as the leads manage to show some chemistry, i finish the series - i mean for crying out loud, I'm watching a romance drama so GIVE ME SOME FEELS DAMMIT! After struggling for well over a month, I've finally put this show on hold.
So this started off well...and then went off the rails like you wouldnt believe. By the 9th episode, id pretty much stopper caring about the leads as well -i mean, i didn't even find the ML cute anymore and that almost never happens with me loll. Here's some of what is terribly wrong with this drama: -The frigging ML did not make one single move to ACTUALLY divorce his wife. Like what even?? They had to wait for her to sue?! -he pretty much let his mom and sister handle HIS wife throughout which is deplorable -he fell for the FL in like 0.2 seconds (right after breaking up with his wife) which pretty much means that he had the emotional range of a duck - from the point above: he was cuddling up to his wife and professing his love to her right up to the point where his mom broke the news about her uterus and lies loll. -the FL slept with the ML voluntarily but still felt the need to not only run back home, but also let half the world think that he raped her for a considerable while -the MC had chemistry for like only the first few episodes and then poof. Honestly, the MLs sister handled a similar situation sooo much better -everyone pretty much beat the crap out of the ML, like hire a damn bodyguard man you cant really defend yourself -the ML was pretty stupid - he should've used his family's connections right after the bad guy kidnapped and almost raped the FL to discredit him. He did it later on so why couldnt he do it earlier as opposed to waiting for the bad guy to make yet another move?! Honestly, im pissed off at myself for wasting my time on this.
Someone please tell me at what point does this drama suck you in? I'm literally at the verge of dropping it but i really don't want to drop another one! If it matters, I'm at the mortal trial arc when the FL meets up with the royal advisor dude.
I went into this drama knowing that it's tragedy and has a sad ending and yet I still sobbed like a baby. lolOverall…
I feel exactly the same - i went into it knowing the main leads will have a tragic ending but dear lord, my heart still hurt. But what i don't understand is why do people find the ML so unlikable? He's a deliciously flawed character and such a refreshing break from perfect, noble and idiotic MLs who can do no wrong. I mean, given the circumstances, what did he do wrong really? He basically manipulated the actual evil people to figuratively fall on their own swords. Even when he killed Gu Jian, he wasn't entirely wrong - the fact that he did it in a fit of rage and jealously is unforgiveable but the action itself? I wouldn't lay all the blame on him for it. After all, he believed that the FL was having an affair with GJ and as the crown prince and future emperor, could and should he have afforded such a situation to continue? And the only other option of letting her go back to Xi would have had the same result as it did in the last episode (referring to the almost battle here). Also the fact that his reign and abdication were peaceful proves that he wasn't the big baddie everyone around him made him to be.
Okay, here goes:1) he couldn't use the frost flower because jin mi destroys it right after he uses it to create…
No problem! There were many things they didn't explain in the drama - in fact, its true for most dramas loll. I've just learned to go with the flow and enjoy them as is!
I couldn’t understand the ending very well. And I have got some questions.1) Jin Mi gave Xu Feng a part of her…
Okay, here goes: 1) he couldn't use the frost flower because jin mi destroys it right after he uses it to create the flower show for the bitchy bird (forgetting her name) in the demon realm. 2) it took all of that time for jin mi's soul to reappear because she was curing him of the cold herb thing that run yu had the heavenly physician add in XFs back to body elixir (which periodically made him freeze). Remember, XF is a fire based immortal while jin mi is water/ice. 3) jin mi reincarnated with her memories because she had passed her love 'trial' by making the ultimate sacrifice and she had the brahmas ashes protecting her. She did however come back as a human and had to 'cultivate' back to immortality with lots of help from XF. 4) ive also questioned why her father was reincarnated - maybe it was just cosmic justice since he was a good person and his death was unfair? As far as i know, this aspect hasn't been explained properly in the drama. Also, maybe immortals could reincarnate without their memories in which case, there would be no easy way to find a reincarnated god unless you literally bumped into them lol. Hope this helps.
I'm planning to watch ALP next..for TLB i need to wait until Wu Lei as Ling/Hao BuYi is off my mind!
Thanks for the recommendations!
