if you don't mind BL romance, you might wanna give a try to the original novel the untamed is based on, or the animation.

As someone who watched both of these series, they definitely do feel similar in some aspects. personally I loved the original novel the Untamed drama is based on since it is more detailed and contains the romance between the leads.

I had hoped this would be the case, but with the recent issues, not so sure anymore. Sad to see this epic story is being wasted.

I’m watching it. This season has 12 episodes and 9 are already out. So 3 more episodes to go. They pack a lot of info into a single episodes so it’s really fast paced. I’m glad they at least slip in some extra WangXian Moments from time to time. The ending of the latest episode had me squealing 😭

To think at this day and age they would still care about “masculine” portrayals

this is terrible. There’s so many adaptations waiting to be released and now this happens.

Is this information from a reliable source ? I wish they wouldn’t add any hetero-romance. That would just ruin the whole adaptation.

If you enjoyed the novel for “The untamed”, I think you will also enjoy the novel for this drama. Both were written by the same author.

I don’t know what the Chinese title actually means, but the english title “Winner is king” is not really random. It is literally hinting at the whole plot of this novel.

Hopefully he’ll do a good job in his role as Xie Lian.

ZXW is really good in “Dear Parents”. His character’s situation makes me cry.

glad he’s playing Feng Xin. He suits this role very much.

Indeed he looks very nice. And yes, new leaks make me anxious and impatient for this drama.
