No problem, it's still only my opinion though. And how much I enjoy a movie often depends in what kind of mood I am when I watch them. ;)
I really liked Windsrtruck. I wonder what you will think about it.

Well there are a lot "better" movies out there and it has flaws. But that being said I still really enjoyed myself watching it. I love the genre. I loved the characters and the bromance. It's not a complicated story and the plot is a bit lacking but the actors are great. I would recommend it not as a great movie but certainly as a really entertaining one.

I'm the same. I watch a lot but in the end I think the best ones are movies and drama's which give you something to think about or really swept me away in a rollercoaster of emotions. Anything but frustration of course. LOL
Ah then One Million Stars might be something for you when you get the time. LOL KimuTaku used to be one of my top 3 actors but I found his recent work and acting less interesting and I found that I only liked him in certain roles. He's still great though and One Million Stars is one of his old drama's so it's all good.

I liked him as a man better in Lovers though. Can't compare the two Genre wise and theme wise but still it's worth a try if you want decent drama's staring LSJ.
I'm waiting for Cruel City to finish airing. I have a thing about watching airing drama's.I'm flexible in my time so when it's really good I'm known to end up marathoning a drama. There's nothing more frustrating then waiting for eps. Plus usually I only watch one drama at the time so I can focus on the story. I'm really looking forward to Cruel CIty though heard good things about it. Are you watching? I also saw you're watching Shark, how's that one?

I've seen some interesting movies starring Ha Jeon Woo and I like him but he never caught my attention like he did yours. I'll have to check out Nameless Gangster.
I really loved Old Boy the story, the acting the visuals. For me it was a masterpiece and actually my bf bought it after we watched it.
I'm getting more and more movie inspiration while I'm talking to you. Have to do a Choi marathon plus added The Hotel Venus as well while I'm at it. I haven't seen it and it doesn't seem well known which piques my interest right away.
Drama's can take over your life but since I've been watching them for some time my life has adjusted and they live together in harmony. Plus people seem to either watch with me or know when to leave me alone hehe.

Arg there's so much to watch. I mean look at me I even think I spend quite some time watching movies and drama's and still I discover or get recommendations for great movies and drama's.
Mature themes and dark and disturbing, I can connect with that. LOL What do you mean by dark and disturbing? The atmosphere or plot, or the visuals? In that category I really loved One Million Stars Falling from the Sky. It does have to suit your taste though I read many people where put off by the plot twists but I think it was the best KimuTaku drama I watched and I love him a lot. There's a Japanese guy to get excited over. ;)

Hehe well actually I think I just commented on that earlier Winnie's profile. I'm watching Ryusei no Kizuna not at all what I expected. It's a "revenge"/mystery/comedy drama. I thought it was going to be more suspense when I started. But I find that I'm not really in the mood for it. Want something more serious and maybe heavy. I'll finish it though LOL. It's only a couple more eps and it's quite good it just doesn't fit my mood atm.
I've only seen LSJ in Damo and I REALLY loved that one as well. I think it was one of my first Korean drama's. I should rewatch it sometimes see if I feel the same. I haven't seen him in anything else yet.

So anyway nice to meet you. :)

As for Genre, I'm not really picky. It's a curse really. I just don't like strictly comedy or too much comedy. I have a preference for a story line with a romance in it. For movies I look for something special or original since I've seen so many. But to be honest I can also just really enjoy a good crime/action/thriller. I actually can get excited over just about anything if I like the acting and the characters speak to me.
Oh LOL and I just read Ash44k's comment on LSJ! Count me in I think you should get some buckets over here!

LOL yeah it took me some time to build this list ;) And you know what they say, "time is money" so this list is one of my most valuable possessions, hehe.
But seriously I've been at it for years and although sometimes I only watch one drama in a month or less, other times I've been known to watch 2 a week. (I work partly at home so the temptation is too much when I stumble on something good).
I really loved Memories of Matsuko. I picked it up because I think EITA is a great one of a kind actor never lets me down with his unique roles and acting. I found out his role wasn't that big in Matsuko but every scene is beautiful, it's art. The acting is great and the message was lovely. Most importantly it really left a lasting impression. I bought it and been carrying it around to show to everyone I remotely trust to give back lend DVD's LOL.

As far as the "finishing what I start" trait goes it's becoming more and more of a hindrance LOL. I used to watch everything that would come my way but I'm getting more and more selective in what I like. I just should learn to put it on hold sooner or drop it.
At the moment I'm watching Ryusei no Kizuna it's actually quite good and not at all what I expected. It's a "revenge"/mystery/comedy drama. I thought it was going to be more suspense when I started watching but it's actually really refreshing. The thing is I think I'm not really in the mood for this drama at the moment so I can't appreciate it like I should. And here comes the finish-what-I-start-trait in effect while I should just put it on hold for now. LOL. Anyway I'm waiting for Cruel City to finish, really looking forward to that one.

Hope Lovers doesn't disappoint. For me I knew I liked it the first episode but then the characters actions and plot surprised me by not going for all the drama cliche's. Still it is a romance drama I just love the setting as well. Ice World was a surprise for me I loved the atmosphere the acting, the music. Plus I watched it at the right time pulled me out a minor slump.
I love intense feelings and even angst but I'm picky about the angst. The moment I find the reason for the "angsty"situation ridiculous or fake or I don't get the characters actions or decisions it's big turn off. That's what I liked about Lovers the intensity is there but reactions and actions are logical and they don't leave you hanging for long.
I have a crowd around me who are also into watching Asian movies so the movies are a given and I also love, like you said that they are "easy" to watch and don't take long.

hehe yes I'm lucky like that. But it's also dangerous sometimes. I've been known to end up marathoning a drama instead of writing a report. And in result ending up with sleepless nights writing reports LOL.
The acting was indeed great! Nameless Gangster, I just put it on my PTW list think I'll watch it soon. Choi Min Sik impressed me in the work I Failan and Old Boy. Also have Sympathy For Lady Vengeance and I Saw The Devil in my DVD cabinet so maybe we'll do a Choi Min Sik weekend LOL.
I see you have A Better Tomorrow on your PTW list. You should try that one. The reviews are mixed on this one but for me it was one of the best movies in its genre that I saw. It swept me along in a rush of emotions. I wonder what you will think of it.

I'm watching on kshowonline but sometimes I'm just Google-ing if the quality isn't great.
Ah and yes I've been at it for a while plus I partly work at home with irregular hours which makes it really easy to slip in some movie or drama episode here and there. A boyfriend and friends whom are crazy about movies helps too. ;)
So I've watched A Dirty Carnival and it's a movie that fits my taste exactly. What I loved is the genre, the "realistic" take on the gangers and an ending which complemented the message of the story. But what bugged me was that it lacked originality IMHO. In the beginning of the movie I had a feeling to where the story was going. Now I could just be lucky guessing LOL but that took away a bit of the enjoyment and 1.5 points in rating for me. ;) I really loved the acting and atmosphere though.

WGM "We Got Married" a variety show in which celebrities pretend to be married to each other. For me it's great to pass the time without to much thinking or emotional ups and downs in drama's. I'd have to say though in retrospect there where only a couple of couples that made me keep watching. (They change couples every xx episodes or so). When you're already busy with work, life and drama's the variety shows are an extra burden since they take up time as well. For me I really like watching some of them though (Running Man, WGM, Happy Together, Strong Heart, Shinwha Broadcast) when I need a drama break or a good laugh. I'm usually not into comedy movies or drama's but these shows make me laugh and they can be really entertaining. Plus before I was more orientated on Japan and through the drama shows I got to know more about the Korean celebrities and Idols.

Yes that's how I feel. Pushing her away must have been one of the hardest things for him to do so he must have build a brick wall around his heart. To me the ending seemed to "simple" because of just that. It almost seemed to make light of the 4 years of suffering. It would have been better if he indeed at least accepted the gifts so we saw that he wasn't completely closed off.
Anyhow we agree hehe.

LOL I feel the same way hehe.
Just read your second post you typed while I was replying hehe.
And yes it's fun discussing and makes me want to watch it again!
I'm really looking forward to Cruel City looking at the comments and especially after seeing lovers and wanting more in that direction. The thing is I don't watch airing drama's it makes me frustrated when I can't watch in my own pace plus I usually like it better to watch one drama at the time to fully emerge myself in it. If you know what I mean LOL.
I tried a the first ep of Dr. Gang one of the recommendations for Lovers but it didn't get to me so instead of forcing myself to watch it I left it for now.
I have a A Dirty Carnival on my ptw list and almost watched it tonight but I got sucked in by variety. Watched WGM just now which I didn't enjoy as much tonight actually. Do you watch Korean variety?

You're right when you take the scene when he's walking away in consideration. But I feel that it would have been a tad more believable after 4 years of pushing her away if he did need some more time/convincing to get over his guilt. Or of course he should have been moved by her actions while in prison when she visited him week after week.
But you know all this is nitpicking because overall all decisions and actions are so in place and believable.
