I'm so glad I didn't let all the negative comments discourage me. This was such a beautiful show! ❤️

The only major flaw is its length. The storyline deserved so many more episodes. 😭
But considering it's only eight episodes, they did a great job with a very satisfying ending (even if it was short, they did fulfill my biggest wish. See spoiler below if you want to know about the ending)

Nonetheless, I crave for a season 2 or at least a special episode.. I need more of them 😭🙏
( personal side note: in my eyes, the two leads are so damn beautiful.... ❤️❤️)

I mean, this drama was about learning to live together, getting to know the other while living together, and yet they put the stupid "we have to do a 3 year internship" breakup in here? Are you kidding me??? Wasn't this drama about learning to compromise? And no, letting her go was not a compromise in my eyes, especially in this setting I would have liked to see a compromise that would have allowed them to stay together!

In the end, the drama starts all over again because they still haven't learned how to live together. Sorry but this just disappoints me so much, I'm so angry right now, please let me vent a bit and remember this is just my personal opinion.

For once I want to see a Japanese drama where they don't just sacrifice themselves for work or finish the last episode without the stupid long seperation trope 😤😤😤😤

Ok…I really loved this one…until the last ep. What the heck? Typical japanese ending content, I’m so sick of it (especially, cause it doesn’t make sense to me in this content! See spoiler below) 😤

I hate bad endings too. But I hope you didn't misunderstand the ending. While ML suddenly became distant and uninterested in my eyes, FL kept looking for him and met him again at the end. As the comment above said, it ends with a "if you want, we can start over" and a hug. But to me, that was the most flippant thing you could say. Before that he jumped off a cliff for her and after that he has 100 other things to do than get back together with her... that made no sense at all in my opinion because it totally felt like he had emotionally distanced himself from her (especially compared to his love and care before)

The drama was pretty good overall, just the end sucked in my eyes. But as Amarina said above, they probably just had to cut it short ( and closed it up carelessly..)

Oh my god, this drama is so beautiful, I love it 😭❤️

+ The actor of FL did an amazing job
+ The storyline is very interesting (finally, some different perspectives on things)
+ love the little quirks in the plot, like the part about the male harem lol
+ MLs love for FL is so cute ❤️
+ Chemistry, romance, kisses = superb

The only critique: it’s too short, I want to see more of them 😭❤️❤️❤️
This will definitely be a rewatch for me!

The story progressed kind of slow, but it was definitely unique and is worth to watch!

For me, the absolute best thing about this drama was the ML. He’s not only handsome as f*ck, he’s an amazing actor as well. He played the role as cat prince fantastic, I mean while watching, I sometimes wondered how many takes it took to film certain scenes without laughing 😆
I wish he’ll get casted for more main roles, I want to see more if him ❤️❤️❤️

Hm… ok, I'm a bit disappointed with the ending. I mean, why didn’t he go back to her? (At least to say “I’m alive” or something..) To me, it suddenly felt like he wasn’t as invested in her as before? That made me a bit sad…
(I mean, they could have gone with the “I thought you wouldn’t want me anymore” trope, but nope.. his need to visit the sister (who waited for a long time already) was greater than a moment of time to sooth FLs fear /to look for what’s left of their love?)

I don’t know, but the end confused the heck out of me…

But all over, this drama was great. High production quality, beautiful and talented actors, ok plot, definitely worth a watch!

Are you kidding me? Is no one else talking about the ridiculous Lacross period blood scene? I mean, hello? Yes, women bleed while they're on their period, but the amount of blood spread over her OUTER leg is just ridiculous, that has to be one of the dumbest scenes in history ! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

And on top of that, she doesn't even have another wound that could explain the blood, how lucky is it that even doctors were stupid during that time? Is that the message portrayed in this drama?

Don’t worry, I got your meaning. After watching the first 2 episodes, I already felt like they had a special chemistry/dynamic. Playful fighting? I don't know what to call it. But therefore after reading your responses, it rather struck me as endearing than obsessive, if that makes sense. Thanks for adding the private marriage part, I love it even more now 😄❤️

Ok it’s like this: After watching the first 10 eps I wondered why the rating was so low.
The idea was refreshing, their dynamic was awesome, and SML and ML were friends.
But then?
It went rapidly downhill and the typical annoying tropes started. And in the worst way possible.

For example:
- they don’t just use one obsessed crazy SML, no, they add a crazy obsessed SFL as well. And cause this isn’t enough, you get a crazy obsessed King on top... (FL is like honey for bees..🤦‍♂️)
- And the worst: after watching don’t know how many eps of this, when you finally think it’s over, they got over this ridiculous trope, it just starts a new! Seriously????

Did they terminate the contracts of the writers of the first 10 eps or what happened? I never felt so frustrated while watching a drama. I feel like it’s the greatest loss, cause as I said, the drama had so much potential..

I'm on episode 17 and I'm starting to get a little annoyed.... I mean, how many times can you stab or shoot ML in the heart area without him dying? That's just ridiculous...

Normally I don't often remember female leads, but being here, it's clear that it was different with her. Her beauty is remarkable and I love her acting! Can’t wait to watch In Blossom after it’s done airing ❤️

This drama is weirdly endearing. While it includes many annoying cliches (in case of used tropes, this doesn’t feel like a 22 ep drama, more like a 60 ep one, believe me) it also does so much right!

Pros:
+ FL is cunning and smarter than in other dramas
+ ML and FL are deeply devoted to eachother
+ A good and lovely relationship between ML and his brother
+ A warm and nice grandfather (of FL)
+ You won’t believe it, but a rational and kind of nice king!!!!
+ Boldness in case of sexuality (believe me, it’s shockingly bold for this kind of historical drama!)
+ Many hot Kissens (their chemistry is 🔥🔥🔥)
+ Kudos especially to ML, I love his serious character

And ok, for all the cliches happening, at least the mains talk it out (even though it’s afterwards..but well, can’t have anything lol)

lol you are right, that’s definitely a classic kdrama trope, thanks for suggesting! I think I thought too much about cdramas, and therefore forgot most of the kdrama ones. Your suggestion also reminded me of the classic “I have to use the toilet” trope lol In the future, I’ll do another one more focused on kdramas ❤️ (more suggestions are welcome)
