that scene of SJ tying the white ribbon for MY is so serene. It seems such a simple scene, but there's a lot of warmth in it. Plus the chemistry between these two is evident even in the simple moments.

Episode 15 is definitely among my favourite episodes. We get an all-out battle between the Gods and ADG which was legendary and in the same episode Ming Ye was cooked by Sang You.

Just finished episode 16 and I've had it with Hong Chou abusing everyone around Yuan Qi, including Yuan Qi himself, in the name of protecting him. She seriously needs to back off. At the moment, she's the character I'm hating the most. The Peacock King and Qing Lin are close second.

I must say, I really admire Lan Feng for not giving into Hua Shu's manipulations. It has been a while since I have seen a Heavenly Emperor who doesn't abuse his power and is the hidden villain (I'm really hoping he won't turn evil by the end).

He had a horrible job. I'd want a permanent vacation too.

If TH didn't interfere they could have had a very cute romance, slowly getting to know each other. That snake ruined a very cute couple.

I have to say that I really appreciate that just like in ALP with Wu Huan, we once again got a female 'villain' that isn't doing despicable things just because of some delusional crush on a man in Hua Shu. She's manipulating and being all despicable to get more power and prestige for herself and her clan. At least I can respect her, even though I may not like her.

That would have been cute. Haven't finished the drama yet, but I love cute epilogues

Oh, that's too bad. I guess it makes sense now that there's almost no reference to ALP.

It seems like they combined Bai Jue and Tian Qi into Di Juan and made that character Yuan Qi's father. Not sure how I feel about that. Also, why were the names of his parents changed in the first place?

There are a lot of very infuriating and annoying characters, but that's to be expected in a drama full of palace intrigue and politics. You're also fully aware that by the end of the drama these characters are not going to end well.

Thankfully, there are also a multitude of likeable characters.

We got three love interests for the FL that all had their own merits, but I must admit that only Xie Wei was the best match for Jiang Xue Ning. Both Yan Lin and Zhang Zhe, if chosen by Jiang Xue Ning would have made a great partner, but Yan Lin was a match for the younger version of Jiang Xue Ning and with Zhang Zhe she would have been forced to change too much to match him.

All in all, this drama was exactly what I expected and I loved it.

I do remember someone mentioned here that her fans were unhappy that she didn't get enough screentime, while to me it seemed she got too much as it is. Where in the world did they get that she was the FL? So delusional that it's funny.

I think what's telling about this scene is that he saw and understood her sadness and tried to comfort her. Everyone always went on and on about how he didn't understand emotions, because he didn't feel any, but this shows that he does understand them, but just doesn't necessarily feel them the same way. This just shows that if he had been understood and treated properly instead of abused his whole life, he would have been able to show his pure heart much sooner. Luckily he met LSS and her sincerity brought out the best in him.

I'll admit, I don't really follow what the fandoms do, so I have no idea what her fans are like. Or what she is like behind the scenes for that matter. Is it really that bad?
