Glad you enjoyed it. I agree about the Nether Realm addition. It added so much. One thing I'd wished for (besides…
That would have rounded out the story more, giving us a look at the mortal realm in addition to all the others. It would have also given us a look at the desperate search of Yuan Qi, Hong Yi and Yan Shuang to find Yin. But I must say, that's not the only thing that I would have liked to see more of. There's clearly still a lot of stories to tell within this world. Sadly, the number of episodes is limited, so in the end I was still happy with what they chose to show.
After 6 episodes, I must admit I'm not invested yet. The first 6 episodes felt like an intro and the actual story hasn't started yet. There's definitely a lot of story to tell, so I am excited to see it unfold.
This drama definitely has good and some not that good points.
The CGI is not always great, but for the most part it's a visually pleasing drama. The editing is a little off sometimes, but again for the most part the story does move along smoothly. The most underwhelming part for me were the battle/fight scenes. It felt like something was missing, so the battle/fight scenes didn't have much of an impact.
There was however so much about this drama that I did like. First of all, I liked a lot of the characters. They really do make this drama into an enjoyable watch. Admittedly, there were a lot of annoying characters that were just there to cause unnecessary drama, but that's part of the Xianxia world. I really liked the addition of the Nether Realm. We usually get to see the Immortal Realm and the Demon Realm in Xianxia dramas and the Nether Realm is like an afterthought, but this time it was an important part of the story and I really enjoyed it. I also liked the story. It didn't deviate too much into unnecessary places and for the most part was focused and it was wrapped up nicely.
All in all, this was a very enjoyable 40 episodes.
THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR MURDER! Those generals blindly following an obviously morally compromised "leader" deserve…
That just shows they can't think for themselves. They massacred a whole clan for no reason other than TH's instigation. Is some wisdom too much to ask?
“How cruel you are MY”GET BITCHANG OFF SCREEN. So done with her 😤😤
unfortunately more is coming. The immortal arc may have been rushed and a lot of scenes were cut, but thankfully we didn't need to suffer more of Mo Nv.
This ep., a lot happened: 1) the epic battles and the Gods sacrificed, exhilarating to watch. I always wonder…
Exactly, he wants to destroy everything, because as long as there are "people", the evil and negativity will have a chance to rise again, which means that so will he. ADG spent a terrifying amount of time coming up with the perfect plan to destroy himself completely. This is the reason why I always found his character sad rather than evil.

The concept of Yin and Yang is definitely there. I think that's the reason why Ming Ye is more powerful than the previous God of War, because ADG was getting more powerful so there needed to be a balance. The scary thing about ADG is, is that he's basically indestructible (because all the evil and negative emotions can't really be destroyed and will always arise again and again), which is why he had to go to such lengths to try and end his own life. If he didn't, the Gods probably wouldn't have been able to beat him. He basically made himself a bit more vulnerable so they had a chance.

I think it was explained in the drama that the Gods were created to battle ADG. He is older as he was there before them/from the beginning of creation. This makes him much more powerful than they are.
Lin Mo is a very pathetic excuse for a man. He supposedly loves Hong Ruo, but in the past just because Qing Lin was hurt, he abandoned Hong Ruo for Qing Lin. Now, he doesn't even see how much "Hong Ruo" has changed. Does he actually even know her? She deserves better. Even her estranged nephew sensed from one interaction that she's acting strange.
