That's interesting. And very fitting. Even though I appreciated Tu Shan Jing's devotion to her and I was happy to see her end up with someone who would always put her first, my favourite character was Xiang Liu.

Hmmm... I never really registered her cousin as the ML. I never even paid that much attention to this character. Thanks for the info. In the novel it seemed like Tu Shan Jing was the ML and Xiang Liu was the SML. It does make sense though that the title is related to her cousin. Even though it kind of matches Xiang Liu as well. Also, she never loved the other two in a romantic way. At least as far as I understood.

They are her fans, so they can't really see it reasonably. For me, her character in the immortal arc could just be cut completely without any loss to the story. We didn't really need to know that she used to be a demon. So we already got more from her performance than was necessary. Her fans should be happy instead.

Plus, it's indeed true that everyone's parts got cut.

I'm not sure why the actors are listed this way, but her love interest in the novel was Tu Shan Jing from the beginning. The other two loved her, but she never loved them the same way. So based on the novel, Tu Shan Jing is the ML not the SML.

Which makes him seem even more like an older brother. Pian Ran seemed like an older sister to Susu instead. The way she took care of her and gave her advice

I suppose there's also the power dynamic. He's more powerful and is basically her boss, so she has to listen to his orders. Also, her scolding seems more like cute outbursts/tantrums.

It is tempting. I was going to do the same with TTEOTM, but I failed and started watching before it was finished airing. I'm trying to be a bit more patient this time.

It's a cute and light short drama with lovable characters.

Agreed. They are clearly trying to reach the audience that doesn't like reading subs, but a robotic dub is not going to help in any way. It's taking away so much of the performance and quality of the drama. I'm afraid they have achieved the opposite of what they set out to do.

watched about 10 seconds of the conversation between Si Ying and Demon God Tantai Jin and ended up turning it off and laughing for a few minutes. I'm not sure what they were going for, but this is clearly not it. I don't like watching things dubbed into another language to begin with, but this is on another level. It's horrendous.
