I saw Sweet Blood, it was very, very silly. I've also watched My Golden Blood and Revamp, and didn't like either of those. There was also one that was like a twilight-parody, but I couldn't even get to the third episode... I never heard of Bitefight, though. Gonna look for it for fun. What others are there? I have a few on my watchlist, but nothing seems appealing other than Nour.

I won't be angry if there's reincarnation or anything, i'm just hoping it doesn't. :X Dunno.

That depends on why this nour is killing others, I guess, and if he's killing humans, too. But James will want revenge for his father no matter what (unless there's a weird plot twist and the father never died), so a confrontation between Ken (trying to keep James safe) and the nour (trying to get rid of James) will certainly end up happening imo.

We saw the folder. We're asking about the object he handed to James later. 23:47 in the episode. It's a little black pointy thing with swirls in the design. Looks like carved wood from a fireplace or something.

I'm hoping there's no reincarnation stuff in this, I'm totally burned out from other vampire-related things with this trope. And no, there was nothing about that in the trailers, just the 'my love is buried here' and 'people become nours to be with their love forever, so imagine what it is like to lose yours' or something.

I think his love was human, he probably thinks it's his fault that they died, and they're too scared to let themselves love James because it might end up the same way >_> We'll see.

I think the main issue between them is going to be Ken's suicidal tendencies. He's been investigating this nour-killing nour because he can kill creatures that usually can't die, in the hopes of dying himself, as far as I understand... He thinks he's finally gonna find his way out of existing. No way in hell James will be okay with that (there was something in the trailers, too - James screaming at him that he should stop and stay alive with him), but it'll be really hard for him to give up on his main objective after so freaking long...

But what exactly was the object? I couldn't tell.

He never really explained it :( But grey/pale is apparently for nours who are just chilling, while rainbow-y colorful is when nours are thirsty (whether for blood or for other stuff, I dunno)

a) Ou o James já viu essa aura antes no Tee ou em alguma outra pessoa que ele sabia que era um nour, e por isso agora ele sabe que o Ken é nour

b) Ou ele já viu essa aura antes em alguém muito pior - na pessoa que queimou a casa do pai dele e matou o pai. :X

Semana que vem é certeza que ele vai confrontar o Ken por ser um nour/possivelmente o assassino hahaha Eu acho que a letra a é mais provável, por sinal!

I've watched all three trailers that came out before the series started more than once. Love them.

There'll be 'identity moping' for sure, though, even if it isn't dragged out - that trailer scene with James pointing a gun at Ken's head in his haven (the place where he has that blood refrigerator and the murder board, probably his house or wtv), it would fit well now that Ken got spooked by his aura and probably realized he's also a nour.

I've seen a bunch of complaints about the pacing and them 'falling in love too fast,' but I think the pacing works well for what they want and with what they have.

Ken was probably speaking from experience when he confronted Prae about loving a nour and becoming a nour herself. I think that might have been what happened to him 200+ years ago: either he fell in love with a nour who somehow died, or he was already a nour, and fell in love with a human who died. There was even something in one of the trailers about his first true love being buried around the town... So talking to her made him realize how far gone his feelings for James are, and pushed him to get James away from all this danger - and from him.

Going back to speculating about Ken's traumatic past - how could this theoretical nour lover of his have died? Ken himself has been trying to die for over 200 years, so his nour lover's death can't have happened in any way he understood or he'd have tried it (and probably succeeded) already. He's good at investigating, he wouldn't be stuck on that for so long if it was easy. Could they have been murdered by the same serial killer they're looking for now, the nour who kills other nours (among others, maybe) by setting them on fire?

I mean, if the only way a nour can die is to this nour-killing-nour who sets people on fire and killed both James's father and Tee, the nour lover theory doesn't actually much make sense, either. If this lover got killed by that same person so long ago, why would Ken only start going after them recently? He wouldn't.

Either this nour-killer murdered Ken's hypothetical lover and then disappeared for centuries (so Ken only thought to hunt him down like this now that the killer's back), or this doesn't fit at all. Perhaps, in fact, the nour-killer only started killing (at least around this town) a few years ago, around when he killed James's father, and thus Ken's lover WAS HUMAN.

If so, they could have died in numerous different ways, and it certainly would always be on the back of Ken's suicidal mind - hell, perhaps it was Ken's fault they died. That would be more than enough to make him worried sick about losing James and do whatever he can to drive him away...

It was weird that they showed sus-medical-intern girl Tee's body - she couldn't recognize someone burned to a crisp if she was a normal person, so were they just trying to get a rise out of her or perhaps Ken wanted evidence that she's a nour? That might be it.

So, about sus-medical-intern girl, Prae. It makes sense she and Tee were nours together, survival is typically better in pairs or small groups in most vampire-like stories. Maybe she turned him, or they were turned together. I wonder if she was also the nour who went into the hospital at night using superspeed/obfuscate, but I think perhaps that the nour-killing killer instead. Either way, our girl seems like an antagonist, but not the Big Bad - she's not hidden enough and Ken's already on to her, as he should be. Hell, even Chita is on to her after she threatened him last episode when he saw her stealing blood (probably for Tee or for Tee and her if she's actually a nour.)

edit: I went back to Episode 3, 27:30. Prae, dead nour Tee's gf, really is the one who stole the blood bag and scared the hell out of Chita. She also avoided the camera on her way back.

Totally agreed! I don't think she did anything wrong other than stealing blood and scaring Chita - she was probably helping Tee feed and getting blood for him (or them, if she really is also a nour)

Chita is still sus, I agree. Sus mostly of also being nour, but yeah, sus. >_>

I think the college kids are mostly hiding their grief and falling in love @_@ Ji's brother Nin and the friend with blond streaks, that is. No idea about that girl Ink, she hasn't shown up since episode 2 (or has she?)

I think either James understood Ken is a nour from his aura, or he's seen that kind of aura before on someone super sussy (maybe whoever set his father's house on fire?) and now thinks it might have been Ken <_<

It was kinda fast, but it's been over a month since James got there (you can tell by other people's comments, such as Ji exclaiming that James and Ken have been working together for 'a while now', and the way the other cops react to James now compared to before. They've become friends.) Still, it was really sad @_@

I think James identified that Ken is a nour when he saw his colorful aura in the NC, and that's why he left. If so, they'll go to a suspicious path for a little while there before James decidedthat it's fine and he wants to stay with Ken despite what he is. And then Ken will probably be all stubborn about it, and they'll have to talk about his suicidal tendencies...

A nour is basically a vampire with a few different powers and abilities. The writers used this word instead of vampire to temper people's expectations and be able to make their own lore.

IMO, James is either part-nour or some other supernatural thing. The killer that sets people on fire has killed nours (and is the only known way to kill nours at this point) also killed his father, so perhaps his father was a nour himself or some other 'threat' to the killer.

The girl didn't kill Tee (at least not according to the first scene of episode 4 as it was shown.) She was in the trunk of the car when he was set on fire and it caught her arm, too. She's a weirdo, but either she was helping him get used to being a nour or is also a new nour herself, like Ken supposed - I mean, I might be tripping, but isn't Prae (Tee's gf) also the person who stole the blood in episode 3, for him or them to feed? I convinced myself it was her. I must rewatch that scene.

EDIT; I went back and yes, Prae was the person who stole the blood and intimidated Chita. Episode 3, 27:30.

Chita is sus to me - not only because he's so nice and cute, but because he's been badly burned and the killer seems to be setting nours on fire, not "normal people." I'm not saying he's necessarily bad, but I think he might be a nour, too - and it might explain why Ken is especially cold to him.

Because the rainbow-y aura probably means something to him - we don't know what, yet, since he never explained the colors he sees. I'm guessing he saw that aura before on someone he knew was a nour (so he found out Ken was a nour just like that), or even worse, on the person who burned his house with his father inside (so now he thinks Ken killed his father)
