It's been rushed for a while now, but I didn't dislike episode 9 at all. Hell, I think it was better than 6 and 7... But that might be because I (recently) read more about the historical background and understand the deal with Sri, the emperor and all that part of the story now.
I wish they had never had the 'flash forward' scenes of the future and had spent that time fleshing out the past plot more. And I wish that Falcon being an antagonist had been dealt with in a more subtle way at first, because the way they did was very sudden and strange.

I love the pacing. I think the issues are (mostly) realistic enough - the bullies aren't mindlessly evil, the miscommunication issues don't drag out for a bunch of episodes, the doubts and fears are common and understandable - and the actors are doing their part. I have no issues with this other than hoping for cuter kisses and a few nitpicks about how Sui sees himself/chose to defend himself to his 'friends' (btw, thanks for trying to get Sui out of that awkward situation this time, horrible closeted dude from the second episode. I hope you get a redemption arc. :P) but I see them as logical parts of the character.
I guess I just don't get the complaints... Heck, I liked it so much I even went on and read the manga.

IMO, that specific fire, created in a specific way by that specific nour who kills nours, can cause aggravated damage and possibly death to other Nours, while other fire is somewhat useless (as seen with Ken in the series opening, where he recovered from his burns in seconds) If Chita was burned by the nour-killing-nour's supernatural fire, it makes sense that he's healing (better than humans would) but more slowly than expected for his species.
Also following that first scene from the show, when Ken said he found out Nours could die after he tried to kill himself in the washing machine, it seems safe to assume the arsonist/serial killer's ability to kill other Nour is fairly unique and apparently inherent to him/her/them...
I think Chita is either an intended victim who got hurt by the nour-killing-killer but escaped (and in that case Ken and Ji both know what he is, which would help explain why Ken is so cold towards him - he doesn't seem to favor interacting with other nour - and why Ji worries so much about him and looks at him like he's a precious, muysterious creature to be revered sometimes, like when he had a fever) OR, much worse, he's the nour-killing nour himself...
If that's the case, he either burned himself on purpose to seem like a victim to both Ken and Ji, or got caught in the fire while escaping a self-orchestrated murder scene and used it to seem like a victim and avoid getting caught anyway. >_>

Depends on the lore. Like, I'm a big nerd and have been playing this TTRPG called Vampire - The Masquerade since like... the 90s D: And there's a specific clan of vampires that is known for working as coroners/CSIs (as well as doctors, but that's for the dying, not for the dead) for easy access to cadavers to "drink from," so it wouldn't faze me at all other than the usual ick. lol But maybe he did something to treat the blood and keep it more appealing? No idea. But imagine how good those little sips from James taste compared to the dead crap he has bagged D: Poor hungry baby!
Btw, ghoul lore also varies, but sure, there's the type that eats flesh, as well as the type that kills animals to eat them fresh (like Renfield, also called a familiar) and others with no relation to flesh at all. I love comparing lore from different sources, lol

So, yeah. In my comment from this week, I explained that I'm 60% on Chita = killer and 40% on Chita's ex = killer. My secret is I think Chita's ex might be Rain [???] but it's only a vibe I got this episode, so I don't have supporting evidence or anything!! It's the kind of suspicion that might not last the week, so I only told you that part lol

The title almost made me not watch this, but no regrets. I'll probably watch it again when I need a cute, cozy pick me up - the relationship is as healthy as can be, the plot actually exists, Ai has a full character arc, there's no unnecessary drama other than what's needed to keep the story going <3
I'm 60% on the "Chita is the killer but I hope not" train and 40% on the Rain (Nin's romantic interest) train, but tbh, I think I'm the only one on the Rain train @_@
The younger son seems a bit off, too. I'm just hoping it's simply because a couple of his friends died weirdass deaths recently + he's starting to have feelings for his last remaining friend + a bit of aprehension for big bro lol

The blood he took home might be treated the same way blood for transfusions is (it looks like a transfusion bag)- but it's so common for vampires to drink from the dead and even to become cops/coroners in vampire fiction because of the easy access to meals that I'd be fine with it either way. Angel from Buffy/Angel did it, Nick from Forever Knight did it, there's a bunch more I can't think about fast enough

These are all only my opinions as someone who's rewatched 1 and 2 (halfway through 3 rn)
1- All. In the opening monologue, at around 4:47, Ken says, "It was only later that I learned someone could kill Nours like us." 2- Unknown. If he was killed by the arsonist/serial killer like we all suspect, he might have been a Nour, like his other known victims seemed to be, but no idea about his profession. I noticed so many pictures of him and James, and very little else ;_; 3- If his father was a Nour, he is probably a Nour too (unknowingly - but where is his thirst for blood?) or at least a half-Nour (supposing there is such a thing. it seems more likely) If his father was doing some crazy sciency thing, that might be the cause, too, but there's not much pointing to that. I'm with the 'half-nour' group thanks to how James's eyes shine blue when he sees auras - it's not dissimilar to how Ken's eyes turn very blue when he heals. 4- I think so, yes. Not sure if he's the killer or was one of the killer's intended victims, but his burns 'getting better'isn't very humanlike (unless he's having skin grafts or something), he constantly has fevers, is nauseated when shown eating... Ken is extremely cold to him, too, which doesn't mean he's bad per se, but that Ken knows him/doesn't trust him (though he also doesn't seem to have a problem with his only friend Ji dating him)
