I wasn't really checking, I was commenting on 8 myself and your comment jumped at me :X I don't even mind your spoiler because I'm a fool (I accidentally clicked episode 9 instead of 8 when I got on the website, so the first thing I saw was Ken shooting James in the arm and then bandaging him - then I clocked that I missed a whole episode and went back), but some other people might...

Chita was like "they were Nours, they deserved to die" like he is superior... I guess killing people who get in his way, like Tangme, is a-okay as long as he's the one who does it, though :P Hypocritical much? Not that I mind terribly. It's a vampire show. Killing people comes with the territory.

The scene after Tangme's death was pretty much everything I expected, wanted and needed from him, though. He's the type of character I hoped he'd be (I'm one for vampires as complicated monsters who lost part of their humanity and are willing to do what's needed to keep existing and keep those that matter to them around. I played too much Vampire - The Masquerade and read too much Anne Rice...)

Ji's reaction to everything is also exactly what it should be, IMO. He's a doctor, he promised to do no harm, and look at what's become of him now...

Of course Ken wouldn't let James just kill Chita and take away his one apparent chance of dying! He doesn't want to exist forever, James, and the 30/40 years you two might have together apparently aren't enough to compensate for being forced to exist for millennia after you die. You're gonna have to talk this out much better if you wanna convince him.

I like how a bunch of us called out that Prae killed Ji (not just to heal, btw, but as revenge for Tee) and Chita had to turn him to keep him existing, if not alive.

The turning scene was amazing, even if the heart bite was downgraded to a chest bite that probably wouldn't get through to the heart. Chita's despair was very well-acted.

The cops are looking for you, you know that and you JUST STAY AT HOME WAITING FOR YOUR BF? Be for real. I know this is the same team of 'amazing' cops who said Prae was the top murder suspect but didn't even bother to check if she was still going to her classes (she was, and had that scene talking to Rain), but be for real. +_+ Just tell him to meet you elsewhere, you fool!

That works there, yeah XD Have you watched the Interview with the Vampire TV show, especially, The Vampire Lestat (the most recent season, the show changed names)? There's this whole thing about vampires of a certain age/power surviving decapitation for a number of hours and then coming back more or less okay if their head is put back on their neck stump. I mean, ew XD

Right?? He's so evasive I don't even know how James understood how big his death wish is, because he certainly didn't tell him anything about that, either @_@

What I got is that Nours always have 1) a pale, colorless aura because they sacrificed their own color and 2) a rainbow-y weird aura when they're feeling a lot or using Nour powers (feeding, seeing in the dark, etc) So that the 'big feelings' Nour's rainbow-y auras were so colorful because they drank people's blood and these victim's colors stained 'calm' Nour's pale auras... But I might have misunderstood.

Might be. If it's important, I wish they made it clearer, and if it's not, I wish that rainbow scene had been placed somewhere else instead of in the middle of the hunt for Prae.

Any ideas on the red-aura-Chita thing? I can only think that a) maybe he's not a Nour and a different type of creature is gonna be introduced (it's so late on the show, though) b) His 'resting aura' is always red instead of pale for some reason they're going to explain or c) red-aura-Chita and Nour-Chita are not the same (which is kinda telenovela-like) @_@ I don't like any of these options much, but B seems better to me...

They established Nours either have colorless, pale 'soul colors'/auras or rainbows sparkly ones - so how come they suddenly had a character who _is believed to be a Nour_ show a red aura? Is it an indication that

a) red-aura-Chita and Nour-rainbow-aura-Chita are different people somehow (feels soap-opera-ish IMO)
OR
b) Chita isn't actually a Nour but something else that hasn't been shown yet, and this type of creature only getting introduced in the last episodes (feels contrived to me)
OR
c) Chita's usual aura is always red instead of pale - when it isn't rainbow - for some reason they're still gonna explain, but he's a Nour like the others (well, except for the mysterious fire powers...)

Here's to hoping they address it, otherwise it's gonna be a weird little plot hole.

This show is "confusing" by design, not by accident. It's a mystery, and getting the answers is supposed to be arduous :X

What bugs me is when certain things just seem to contradict what they already established - like Ken saying he can't see red, but then us finding out he actually sees in black and white. That could've been clearer from red scene so it didn't look so much like it changed mid-show... I currently have another, similar issue with the writing (continues in my reply to this, under the spoiler tag)

Maybe Nours regenerate. Many vampires in other stories do - hell, sometimes they even survive decapitation and either grow a new head or can have it reattached to their bodies...

I have the same issues. The police work in this is lacking, as usual in detective BLs and GLs.

He didn't say he doesn't remember who turned him, he just changed the subject weirdly. In fact, in one of the trailers (the third one), and in the promo for tomorrow, he shows James a place related to the one who turned him...

I think that motive makes sense, like he's some sort of Nour vigilante, a bit like Blade. it's what I've been saying for a couple of weeks, too. I keep wondering about that woman whose incinderated corpse was found in the first episode, the one whose husband threatened the lady cop and was sent to jail... I hope she was human-killer-type Nour, so the pattern still makes sense.

Then again maybe he isn't really a Nour, or maybe there are two Chitas (one with a red aura, one with a Nour aura). I dunno what's up after noticing he's the only "Nour" that showed a normal color aura in one scene instead of just pale or rainbow like Tee, Prae and Ken.

It's related to the name of the episode and it MUST be important, but it was badly placed imo - plus, it implied that Ken sees in black and white, but earlier in the series he only seemed to be red-blind, so it added a layer of confusion to everything.
