On The Tale of Lady Ok Nov 30, 2024
1st episode felt like a whole movie, so much happened! i hope they will be able to keep the pace consistent for the rest of the show because it's good so far (minus the forced comedy every sageuk insists on having)

An interesting neo-noir crime film with a vintage atmosphere, captivating performances and a wonderful grainy…
hello, is this movie suitable for an audience of all ages? is there excessive violence or rated scenes with nudity?

no amount of lighting would make that house warm and welcoming, if i were them the first thing to do would be moving out of that gloomy place

can someone explain the reason why Taesu give Habin a watch?
i guess it's symbolism for new beginnings, we see how the watch is set to 12 then starts ticking, a little like how they're starting afresh from then on

i think they only mentioned she didn't die from strangulation, that's why they knew the teacher lied, but they…
you're right, i forgot they already had her blood before even finding the body! then yes this might be a plot hole

If Min-A got poisoned, her blood work should have shown it. Potential plot hole
i think they only mentioned she didn't die from strangulation, that's why they knew the teacher lied, but they never said how she died according to autopsy reports. they said little do-yoon's confession matched the evidence so it's implied that's how she died (by poisoning that is)

On KBS? Maybe around the year 2084… this is going on the government-owned, most conservative mainstream (public)…
explain "sad temptation" from 1999 and "daughters of bilitis club" from 2011, both on kbs

genuinely curious, what could have been more beautiful?
thanks for replying. i actually agree with you, it seemed to me that what they needed more was closure (like apologize for the way they hurt each other so their wounds can heal and then maybe move on) rather than really getting back together. it felt too easy/lazy just for the sake of a "happy ending"

But why does he have to touch evidence??????
jeong-woo? i don't think he was in the right state of mind where he could think rationally. it's annoying but understandable

the end of episode 4 gives us the first puzzle pieces that fit together. it seems implied that doctor has a history…
yes a lot of things don't add up but no one bothered looking into them because most of the parties involved had something to hide or to gain from the case being wrapped up quickly. it's as if there was a tacit agreement to let jeong-woo take the fall for them all. sang-cheol is the first outsider to really examine the case from a relatively objective pov and so he can see the discrepancies and now, coupled with jeong-woo's determination, the truth will come out

I think the killers are most likely the ml’s friends because they get defensive whenever he asks them questions.…
while i don't rule out the possibility, that would be awful 😭
they are fishy too, like everyone else. if not actively involved, i believe they at least knew/saw something and kept silent. in su-oh's painting, weren't they pictured as if they were looking at the dead girl's body?

the end of episode 4 gives us the first puzzle pieces that fit together. it seems implied that doctor has a history of going after other women, he's probably related to da-eun's case? his politician wife seems to know but willingly turns a blind eye for her own ambitions.the police chief and bo-yeong's mother had an affair it seems and her daughter probably discovered it on that day. they both couldn't say anything maybe out of shame and that's why the mother says they killed bo-yeong, because they hid this part of the truth.
na-gyeom is clearly delusional to a creepy level and i won't be surprised if we learn she did something awful out of jealousy and need for attention. she remains very suspicious with her obsession.
su-oh also knows things, he probably witnessed something and either was forcibly silenced or he also had a weakness that made him remain silent. btw has he always been like that? i don't remember him from their past, instead there's another friend geon-oh (su-oh's bother?) who's not there in the present. this might also be another puzzle piece that will come to complete the picture later

i like how this is starting to unfold. it looks like everyone is guilty to varying degrees, contributing to these murders in a certain way even if they were not the one person who dealt the final blow. jeong-woo himself was too focused on himself he failed to notice things that were off with his friend, had he paid closer attention maybe the outcome wouldn't have been this tragic
