Title Why R U?
It was cuz of the pandemic. Saint and Zee had already finished their filming at the end of 2019 and the show was…
Try to find the 3 Saifah/Zon episodes. Watch them. Then try to figure out where they would have been placed within the main show ("Why R U") if they had been filmed before COVID hit. Some of the Fighter/Tutor scenes would have been shortened to make room for the missing Saifah/Zon footage.
The thing about the 3 Saifah/Zon episodes is that they *do* answer the question "Was it all just taking place in Sol's fanfic, or was it real?"

How could actors kiss like that and not fall for each other !
Because their acting is good, that's how. Whether a couple is M/F or M/M or F/F, good actors can make the relationship look believable.

But "Seinfeld" was a much better series, in my opinion. Others will always differ.
Well, the point I was really trying to make is that each almost-1-hour episode of Cutie Pie has long stretches where NOTHING IS HAPPENING... (And often, when something does happen, it seems like it's in slow motion.) This show is in dire need of editing.

In fact, I think CP could have been edited down to 6 hours. Or, to put it another way, 12 half-hour episodes.

PS: At least Seinfeld knew how to make a story "about nothing" funny. He knew how to craft a show where some characters could go to a restaurant for a meal, that's all, and it would actually be an entertaining 25 minutes.

This episode reminds me of the episode of Seinfeld where George proposes a TV show to Jerry:
Jerry: Well what's the [proposed] show about?
George: It's about nothing.
Jerry: What, no story?
George: No, forget the story.
Jerry: You gotta have a story.
George: Who says you gotta have a story? .... Remember when we were waiting for that table in that Chinese restaurant that time? That could be a TV show!

I feel like this production company learned from why r u that as long you give the audience overtly manufactured…
I respectfully disagree! Why R U had a great enemies-to-lovers story with Fighter-Tutor, and I think the Zon-Saifah story would also have been better if COVID had not shut down the production. (This led to the missing Zon-Saifah story being completed later and then broadcast in some "bonus" episodes.)

As you may recall, Why R U had already started airing, and was still filming, when COVID shut down production. The Production team, faced with a show already on air, was left to figure out how to create the best Why R U show they could with the film footage they had already shot. That's why there were so many Fighter-Tutor bedroom scenes; because that's what they had filmed when COVID struck. But it was not as though "extended bedroom scenes" was the original strategy. Had there been no COVID, some of the Fighter-Tutor bedroom scenes would have been shortened to make room for the Zon-Saifah story segments.

Maybe you are right that Cutie Pie Production learned, from Why R U, that Zee is great at bedroom scenes and a lot of people like those! But Why R U also had a good plot. A great plot that got partly sabotaged by COVID.

I'm impressed with clip 2/4 . (Spoiler below)Also, can someone here who speaks Thai tell us if Zee's speaking…
Kuea and Lian actually discussed how they could get married in other countries. And they ask what's the difference, if you're a male/female couple or a same-sex couple. I thought it was great that the show brought that up, instead of just pretending that this big impediment to their happiness didn't exist.

Also, can someone here who speaks Thai tell us if Zee's speaking sounds pretty natural or if it sounds like he's "acting"?

To me, when he speaks, it sounds natural. Not stilted like an amateur actor might sound. But I don't understand Thai, so how would I really know? That's why I'm asking the question. Thanks!

not @ nuersyn's sprinkled out scenes turning out to be my fav ones cause maybe sometimes im just a sucker for…
Part of what I like is that their relationship development makes sense. It's organic. It's not confusing, there is no "overthinking" required! It's as simple as this:
1. Nuer, Kuea, and Syn share engineering classes.
2. Nuer is romantically interested in Kuea. But Syn is protective of his good friend Kuea, who is engaged to Lian. So Syn does not like Nuer.
3. Nuer and Syn's mistrust issues are soon resolved. After that, as they get to know each other a little more, each one realizes that the other one is a pretty nice guy. And that's how that friendship/romance begins. It all makes some sense.

question... how did Diao and Kuea end up at the same boarding school ? was this on purpose set up by their other…
Heck, I'm still trying to figure out the plot point where two families agree that their newborn sons will get married to each other when they grow up. (I mean, gay marriage is not (yet) legal in Thailand.) Or maybe I misunderstood, and they were just supposed to grow up and live as if they were married, taking care of each other forever--still a strange plot point for the families to agree on that. For me, anyway.

--I was glad that Zee had more to do in this episode. He really brought his "A" game, IMHO.
--I think New was okay, but he did not rock my world, sorry. I kept wondering how Nat (Kon Diao) would have done in the role of Kuea...
--Speaking of Nat, I love how Diao finally called Yi on his lack of open and honest communication. Diao is tired of Yi's mixed messages; maybe getting away from Yi for a while is a good thing. Though Diao is younger than Yi, emotionally he seems to be more mature. This makes me think that their eventual relationship will work well, despite the chronological age difference.
--Neur and Syn - I like this relationship for two reasons:
(1) it seems organic, i.e., it is developing as a result of events that occur in the story. It's not just happening out of nowhere, for no reason.
(2) it seems like a partnership of true equals. It's refreshing to not feel like you're watching another "seme/uke"-type pairing.

Well Lian is complicated and he's an ahole at times, so it wouldn't surprise me if he said that(lied) just to…
But all of that needs to be clearly explained or shown to the viewers, as others are saying, We should not have to come to MDL to find out what is happening and what each character is thinking, and why. Seems like bad script writing, to me.

Exactly! And really, that is not entirely New's fault. He cannot help it if the story, script, and/or director want him to look and act young and a bit silly.

But I will be interested to see what New can do if he gets a series where his character acts more mature.

New definitely looks young. His look as "good boy" Kuea is designed to make him look young, too. (I think he could look a little older if his hair and wardrobe were different.)

Saint's character, Tutor, did not have the luxury of being rich and immature and playing drums for fun. Tutor had his family's debt to worry about, plus he had to worry about studying hard to keep his school scholarship. So, unlike Kuea, Tutor had to grow up fast. That makes a difference.

And though Tutor and Fighter were close in age, Zee and Saint were not. Yet I thought Saint really matched Zee in terms of energy and dominance. Yep, that was a great pairing. (And maybe the script or storyline worked better for me, too, who knows?)
