And the coach scene, it wasn't non-con.
Oh, please. It was non-con, plain and simple. If this had been a woman--even a strong, sturdy woman--and GSD did to her what he did to SY, people would be up in arms. BTW, it is possible to *love* someone but to also *not* want to have sex with them, because they are messed up and you want to protect yourself from their toxicity. When SY says no and tries to get away, GSD should respect that. Jeez, he didn't even say anything that might change SY's mind. Maybe you guys all found GSD's dragging SY back into the condo romantic?
Either "no" means "no" or it doesn't, which is it?

It took me a while to finish Season 2. My thoughts on Episode 2 are in the post below. As you will see, I was…
The acting in Episode 2 is fine, but the living room GSD/SY scene shows clear non-consent, IMO. Upon re-watching, I am still not okay with it.

It baffles me that people went nuts over Tharn/Type and the non-consensual "horror" of 18-year old Tharn touching Type while Type was asleep (oh, and let's not forget the shower scene that had people up in arms), yet they are beguiled by a drunk 20-something GSD forcing SY's arms down while he kisses him.

Is it that he's drunk--plus he is sure SY really loves him deep down, even though SY is clearly pushing him away multiple times in this scene--so it's all okay?

Oh, and I hated that GSD kept placing his hand over SY's mouth every time SY tried to speak. It's very scary when the ability to at least try to communicate with the crazy/unstable/drunk person is forcibly cut off by said person.

If SY had been a woman (even a strong, sturdy woman) on her way to the office, and a drunk GSD grabbed her wrist and dragged her back into the house, tossed her briefcase aside, and then proceeded to do all the man-handling that GSD did to SY, viewers would be rightly upset.

But it's two good-looking guys, so it's romantic. Got it.

I've watched through episode 14. Based on episode 14, below is my response to your question about Dr. Jade.
In my head, the only possible "redemption" arc for Dr. Jade is for him to save Numwan from being killed--whether by himself or by some other evil creature--before he dies. This is a show for young people (15+). I have to think that the bad guy will get what he deserves (death). Of course, I also was thinking Production would not have the character do that to the dog, but they did... so what do I know? ;-)

He's almost 26, which means he's 25 atm
Yep, on another forum we talked about maybe the subtitles not being quite right. Because those little discrepancies are there, but as you said, Gene clearly tells Mork (when he is in the cafeteria drinking his drink) that he is almost 26. You cannot argue with that. Thanks for confirming about Auntie Orn, I thought she was Sib's mom but wasn't sure. (Why else would she have his photos?)

I've watched through episode 14. Based on episode 14, below is my response to your question about Dr. Jade.
Based on episode 14, I would venture to say that the answer to your question is yes, he was falling for her. And if that is correct, it makes me think that instead of eventually killing her, he will somehow let her go, or save her or something, just before he dies--I mean, he's evil, he's gonna die, right?
Of course, I could be totally wrong, too. But I just think that the last remaining shred of decency in the guy will enable him to save Numwan (from himself, as well as from something else evil) before he meets his inevitable demise.

was Dr. Jade falling in love with Numwan for real or what. why he didn't kill her? it seems kinda ooc. he killed…

He's almost 26, which means he's 25 atm
He tells Mork he is almost 26, so yes, that is definitive.
BUT Gene also says to Tum--when he meets him near the start of the series--that they were in college 10 years ago, something like that, which would make him more like 28-29.
BUT then Auntie Orn (is she actually related to Nubsib?) tells Gene that he and Nubsib are the same age, at least that's what the subtitle said. We know from the auditions that Nubsib is 20. So that would make Gene closer to 20, because to me, "you are the same age" implies a 0- to 2-year age difference. Not a whopping 5 year age difference.

Whew. :-)

yooo how is it possible that this series' rating is lower than 9??? this series should be 10 what the djshjkd…
There are viewers who may find this to be a somewhat predictable drama series, not as some ground-breaking BL series. These viewers may think, "Sure, it's two guys together instead of a man and a woman, but the show is a little slow and/or predictable in terms of the usual Thai drama."
And frankly, for people who prefer other genres, like action or thriller series, but who watched ATOTS because it had a M/M couple, I can easily believe some of these folks feeling that the show fell short of a 9-10 ranking. Every show is not for everybody.

Honestly telling, I've watched a lot of ghost dramas and movies but the ghosts here are hella scary :'|And what…
Yeah, I tried to get invested in this show and failed, so I was just sort of skimming through the eps (mostly to see what Saint could do). But lately it's veered into legitimate creep territory. Special effects are decent, and yes those eyes on Dr. Jade...Definitely not a show for younger children.

Anyone else really like the theme song for this show? I looked it up on YT...

I enjoyed the scenes at the promotional event much more than the first part of the episode. The WeTV version is…
Ah, uncut, I did not even realize it was running long, I thought it was just edited in a manner that made it a bit draggy. Now I understand, thank you! I have not read the novel, so I can't speak to Aoey's character development, but regardless of whether he's evil or redeemable, I like the back story they showed us. I enjoy a little complexity in my characters.

I know it's hard to wait a week after the ep is released, but the official Lovely Writer channel on YT is good quality AND the subs are always the best, IMO.

Honestly, I've been spot-checking the eps because I wanted to see what Saint could do outside of the BL world. I wasn't terribly into the story as a whole. But episode 13 had a definite "creep" factor for me, I have to say. I keep thinking about Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but without the humor. As for Dr. Jade, at one point I thought "he wouldn't dare do that"--but he did. You will know what I'm talking about when you see it. (Or rather, hear it.)

it's 3:20am and I'm sitting here on part 3 of episode 10 screaming at my computer screen. I've been binge watched…
Oh, I thought by "twist" you meant the Beard of Loneliness and Despair, because I totally did not see that coming. Hehe. (Just kidding. Seriously, though, that fake beard may have been the one mis-step in this series. :-) )

Unpopular opinion, but i feel like the kiss on the cliff was just crammed in the last episode. It would have been…
Just FYI, the novel ends up with them together. My understanding is that Tian returns to Pha Pun Dao, where he and Phupha reunite and agree to never be apart again.

I don't know anything about purchasing music online but one poster, @Vent Pire, Has a spotify list of the songs…
Wow, that's exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much. I'm looking at the list, and this confirms why I voted the movie's Music Director/Composer as the MVP of AToTS. That looks like it was a big job, scoring this series!
On A Tale of Thousand Stars Apr 10, 2021
Does anyone know where to purchase the entireToTS soundtrack?
You can download the theme song and also the other song that has the vocal (Wind?) on YT, but I want the whole score, or something close to it.
There were so many beautiful pieces, like when Tian is drinking coffee in his family kitchen and he puts a second mug down for PhuPha (because he misses him) or when Tian is leaving the village to return home.
I'd appreciate any suggestions on where to find it. (I'm in the U.S., in case for some reason that would make a difference.)

I think ATOTS can be a sign that GMMTV have allocated a bigger budget for their BL production. I’ve watched…
Well, I suppose GMMTV deciding to up future BL series budgets depends on how well shows like this did with the target audience.
--Did it draw a lot of viewers in Thailand? Internationally?
--Do we know yet if the sponsors are happy with the exposure their products got, and did they see a jump in product sales after the show aired?
--What kind of feedback is the show getting from other organizations (I mean, other than the general audience)?
--I would be interested in knowing how successful GMMTV feels this series was and how its success (whatever that may be) will impact future BL budgeting decisions.
