On another forum someone pointed out that Type's father likes actress Thanya in the series he is watching. (A tiny bit creepy, but whatever.... ) And since Thanya is Tharn's sister, maybe she will be the one who makes the father accept Tharn as a son-in-law. It seems like a reasonable possibility.

About your last point, my best guess is that the boss didn't like Type even before the thing with the girlfriend…
I will have to accept your idea here, because there is no other explanation. :-) (....but still, sloppy writing....)
Hmm, what did I *like* about this episode? Let me think, let me think... Oh, okay, I liked the way Type confronted Nana. I wished he weren't dressed like he was 12--that shirt was ridiculous and really not a good look when you are confronting someone who wants to steal your boyfriend--but I did enjoy the confrontation. I'm still a little fuzzy on how Tharn/Techno planned it...

Oh, and I liked that Phugun told Type he should talk to Tharn.
I did not like anything else. I don't like that Tharn and Type still cannot communicate effectively after 7 years.

Also, Continuity Point: When they were playing pool, Type told Techno that his boss "couldn't control his woman" and was taking it out on Type. (That is, the nurse who was flirting with Type was actually the boss's girlfriend. The boss was jealous and angry at Type, but it wasn't Type's fault, he did not encourage the nurse.) But now, in episode 5, Type tells both Phugun and Tharn that he has no idea why the boss is angry with him. Does Type have amnesia?

why does type's boss hate him so much?
In a previous episode, we learned that a young nurse (female) is hitting on Type at work, although he has told her he's not interested. The nurse is actually the girlfriend/mistress of Type's boss! That is why the boss hates Type. Maybe the boss thinks Type is trying to steal his girlfriend. Or maybe the boss simply sees that his girlfriend is interested in Type. Either way, that's why he hates him.

Title Why R U?
I'm slowly giving up but might still be worth a shot here. In ep 10 during the scene on the beach (and some other…
Were you the one asking about the incidental piano music, like when Fighter wakes up in bed, in Tutor's arms, in the morning at the resort? It's very sweet but I have no idea who did it. You might ask on the Why R U Twitter site. Or maybe ask Tom Isara, who wrote some of the songs for Why R U. Maybe he knows.

I was shocked that we saw two men kissing. (Well, their lips were together, very chaste, but it was definitely…
Thanks for reminding me about those; I've heard about them before and forgot to check for them. I think Pornographer is coming out with a follow-up movie soon.

Okay, so let’s see what episode 8 did for us:Adachi and Kurosawa handholding cuteness: check!Adachi revealing…
I was shocked that we saw two men kissing. (Well, their lips were together, very chaste, but it was definitely a kiss.) This is my first time watching a Japanese BL show, and I was under the impression we would not see kissing. But I'm glad to see I'm wrong, it gives me hope for Kurodachi.

Do people give shows rating when it's still ongoing? I thought it's common or normal to be rating shows when they're…
TharnType Season 2 had a rating greater than 9.0 - BEFORE the season even started! Seriously! (Now that the season is actually under way--Episode 4 just aired--the rating is 8.9, which is really generous, I think.)

I don't know who any of these people are except Tharn & Type. This show is so boring I actually fell asleep watching…
Pretty sure the show was rated even higher than 8.9 for a while. But that was before it started airing. :-) I think the number is deflating week by week now.
I'm also not sure that Type is "jealous" because Tharn was talking with a woman. He might be pissed or annoyed at her, but I doubt he's jealous. He knows Tharn isn't into women.
Do you remember how you felt after Ep 4 of season *1*? Quite a change, huh?
The things I liked about Ep 4 were (1) the Doc/Champ interaction (not as cringey as I expected), (2) Techno--not 100 percent, but mostly, and (3) the last 60 seconds of the episode. Because I want to see Type confront this chick.

Question: Does this director ever look through the lens to see what the camera is capturing? Does Production even think about the story they're trying to tell? Because--in my opinion--the way this is blocked, shot, and edited has minimal thoughtfulness behind it. Just focus the camera, shoot Tharn, shoot Type, shoot both of them, don't worry if the lighting or angle are blah, or if the scene captures extra things we don't need to see. It's okay. And then edit the scene to show the characters saying the lines Mame wants, that's good enough.

I hated the opening scene. Tharn/Type should be more than just fanservice. Stop the almost-porn music. If you want them to make out, make the scene organic.
Like this:
1. Type makes a playful comment about "Tharn, still trying to cook?" (Because we all know Tharn can't cook.)
2. Then Type tries the frosting--he's surprised, it's pretty good!
3. Tharn says "Is it? Really?"
4. Type gets a twinkle in his eye, uses a finger to brush a fresh bit of frosting across Tharn's lips ("Here, try for yourself").
5. Tharn licks it, says "Oh, it really isn't bad, is it?"
6. And then, because there's still some frosting on Type's finger, Tharn maybe slowly sucks the tip of Type's finger into his mouth. "Don't want to waste it."
5. And then that leads to some hanky panky.

It's not very original, but at least it's somewhat organic. Not the lazy fanservice out of nowhere, with the odd dialog and seductive music, that they gave us.

Sadly, I'm still convinced that COVID restrictions, resulting in fewer workshops and faster filming--so they could finish before someone might get sick and shut the filming down indefinitely, like happened to Why R U--are responsible for some of the mediocre acting and poor story-telling we're seeing.

Is it just me or do I feel like every episode is so short despite it being like 23 minutes.
I feel the exact same way! It's bizarre, isn't it? It's like each episode barely gets started, K and A make a tiny bit of relationship progress, and them bam, the episode's over!

You are right on the money.
And did you notice--Tharn is at the piano for much of the proposal/acceptance/embrace. (The camera cuts to him a couple of times.) He's not even witnessing a lot of what's happening, he's facing the piano instead! Shaking my head... I wonder what Tee Sintanaparadee (director S1) would have done with that scene.
More on Engagement Scene:
I was not impressed by the Thorn/Am engagement scene--I've mentioned elsewhere that it seemed like maybe there was not a lot of rehearsal time for it. I saw actors just saying their memorized lines and carrying out some very basic blocking. (I'm still confused why we saw a few seconds of Thorn's/Am's legs as they walked toward their table. Stuff like that brings nothing to the scene, why is it there?)

But now I realize that part of my disappointment is also that the scene didn't effectively showcase how *Tharn* was affected as he watched Thorn's proposal.

Truth is, I don't care so much about Thorn and Am, but I do care about Tharn in this scene.

IMO, better directing and editing would have showcased Tharn's reactions as he watches Thorn propose, watches Am say yes, watches the couple embracing. These are all things Tharn yearns for but fears he may never have. The scene should have highlighted Tharn being happy for his brother while also truly realizing that with Type, he may never have that same experience.

So yeah, this bland, uninteresting proposal scene could have been so much more meaningful if we'd experienced it more through Tharn's eyes. Missed opportunity, in my opinion.

Kurosawas problem is not solely him being pretty. Its him being reduced to just a showman for others. Ofcourse…
There is no sexual assault. Kurosawa is crudely *propositioned* by the company president. Yes, her grabbing his hand, while brushing her other hand against his thigh and suggesting they go somewhere else, was disgusting and disturbing. It's improper work behavior and most employees could be fired or disciplined for it. But it's not sexual assault.
Question for anyone here who speaks Thai... When Type is sitting on Tharn's lap, he asks "Do you want me to get up?" Tharn answers him, but unfortunately, the English subtitles don't show what Tharn says. (They show the background song lyrics instead.) What is Tharn's answer to Type? Anyone know?
