ugh, that would've been /so/ good!you could even take the whole thing to the next level and make Fiat really charismatic…
And when I think of how much extra time Mame probably had due to the Coronavirus delay, you'd think she'd have come up with something better than what we are seeing. That's my take.

I just finished watching this part where Leo and Fiat are talking about Type and his boyfriend and marriage and…
I didn't know that the script uses the gender neutral word for your lover. If so, that could have been an important distinction. But I don't think using a gender-neutral term means much here. Because if Fiat thinks Type's lover is a woman (and therefore Type can legally married his "faen"), why would Fiat think he, Fiat, has a chance with Type?
I can't remember everything that's happened so far, but I think Fiat must believe Type is gay, and that's why Fiat thinks he can steal Type from his "faen".
Part of my problem with Fiat is he's such a cartoon character. Is he like that in the novel?

I wish Fiat's M.O. was different from what we've been seeing.

Instead of being a petulant, whiny-ass child with Type, Fiat should be coming across as sympathetic and a good listener and someone who builds Type's ego (but not in a hero-worship way). And then--at some point--he could start telling Type things like "Sometimes two people care about each other but are not able to work it out. It's okay for you to move on. Find someone who is willing to be with you with no strings. Who appreciates you just the way you are."

Maybe he texts that to Type, and Tharn sees it. (Because Type stupidly gave his Line ID to Fiat.)

Now, Type of course has no interest in Fiat at all. And he would usually see through a scheme like that immediately. But he is so upset with his boss situation, and also with Tharn's pushing to get married, he's not thinking straight and does not realize right away that Fiat is manipulating him to get him to leave Tharn and be with Fiat. Instead, Type enjoys the sympathy and validation and ego boost from Fiat. So it takes a few weeks before he wises up and realizes Fiat is actually pulling a "Lhong".

Of course, I'm going with the idea that Fiat really *is* interested in Type. (I mean, Leo wasn't at the hospital when Fiat was following Type, Type closed the door on him, and Fiat banged on the door, so I do think Fiat is legitimately attracted to Type, irrespective of Fiat's feelings for Leo.)

And yes, my scenario is repetitive of last season's Lhong story arc. But I would still prefer it to this cartoon-character Fiat that we are getting.

I agree with that, it's just that the flashback to when Natee "masterminded" the plot made the timeline sound confusing for me. If they had left out the line or two where he talks about what Zol should do, I think I would not have been confused. Oh well.
Apparently most of you guys are loving Leo and Fiat. Me, I cannot stand Fiat.
I don't care what his "problem" is. When you say things like "Tharn and Type aren't married, so I have a chance" or "I don't care if Type has a boyfriend or children", it does not matter to me *why* you are saying it. Whether it's because you really mean it, or because you're just trying to make someone (Leo) jealous, I don't care. Just stop. (Also, it's Thailand, dude, they can't get married. What's wrong with you? )
***What I liked about this episode***
--Type's woman friend at the hospital (Is she also a doctor?)
--Tharn and Type interactions, because their acting with each other is so much better than the rest of the ensemble so far
--Ja's acting. He's good.

Honestly, it's very much the same in the United States. I speak from experience. You can be an excellent employee and do your job well, but if your new boss doesn't like you or feels threatened by you--even if there is no reason for your boss to feel threatened--game over. They are insecure and will find a way to get rid of you.
If Type was in the real world, and not a TV show, I would tell him to look NOW for another job. And if he can't find a job soon, just LEAVE. Because IRL, it would be bad for his health to stay. Plus his boss will find a way to get rid of him anyway and will also make him look like a bad employee. Better that Type should leave than be fired by a lousy boss.
Also: When Type interviews, he could say "I left my previous position because I want to focus more of my time on planning and conducting physical therapy for my patients. My previous position did not let me effectively do that."

But there is something I don't understand.

Early in Why R U, Zol tells Zon "I deleted the fanfiction". But after he leaves her, we find out she did not delete the fanfiction.

Now in Zon/Saifah Episode 2, we learn that Zol, Natee, Thanthai, and Saifah conspired AT SOME POINT to act like Saifah and Zon never really got together, did a concert, or had a relationship. As Natee said, Zon is kind of dumb! He didn't investigate enough, or he would have seen they were pranking him. The concert really happened.

I'm confused on the "prank planning" part of the timeline, partly because I don't understand why they pranked him (why would Saifah participate, once he fell in love with Zon?), and partly because we learn that when they were planning it, Natee told Zol "Tell him you deleted your fiction...."

So--when Zol tells Zon "I deleted the fiction", even though she was lying--had she and the friend already planned to prank Zon? I'm super confused now.

I think Jimmy worth more than this, I hope he will get some good role in his next series
I don't get Jimmy's acting choice when Zon is crying in Saifah's arms, asking if he really forgot him, saying he doesn't want to be without him. He just kind of stares off, then he puts one arm around him. (Eventually he does put his other arm around him, but shouldn't he be looking happy or more emotional?)
On SaifahZon Story Dec 10, 2020
My impressions of Episode 2:
** I didn't think this episode was written well, and I was less impressed with Jimmy's and Tommy's acting in this episode. (Their inconsistent acting might have been due to the not-great script.)
** I liked the story arc for this episode; it just could have been so much better written, and still fit the amount of time available. (I was rewriting the dialogue as I watched...)
** It was weird to me that Zon/Saifah seemed so hesitant to kiss, in the post-beach part of the story. Some awkwardness at first, sure, I understand. But they mostly continued that way, which I found weird. They've spent a weekend at the beach and had sex. I expected a little more intimacy.
** I still love Natee's actor, Tonnam Piamchon. He doesn't have a lot of lines, but I always notice him! Such a good comic actor and sidekick!
** All that time I spent wondering "are they in Zol's fiction or not"? Now we know.

It really is nice that both actors, Jimmy and Tommy, have gained so many fans, and seem to have more opportunities, thanks to their popularity in Why R U.

3 EPISODES? AND ONLY 35 MINUTES PER EPS? they deserve 5 episodes at least or i will riot >:0 i have always been…
I honestly thought these episodes would *never* be filmed. I'm surprised and happy they gave us 3 episodes! And even though only 1 episode has aired, Why R U already makes more sense!
Also, I think 105 minutes--well, probably a little less--is a good amount of time. Especially if they mostly just focus on Saifah/Zon's story and don't spend too much time on the side characters.

The issue was that the drama was still filming when COVID hit and they had to stop filming, so all of the Sai-Zon…
I understand all that. I guess I wasn't clear. What I meant was that I hoped they could *merge* these special episodes into the main drama. Because when you watch Why R U without these scenes, the whole "fiction or real" story line doesn't work well. Some people even dropped the show because it just wasn't making sense. But if Production can find some way to *insert*the scenes from the special episodes into Why R U, so that they occur where they are supposed to, and I do not have to watch them separately after the show is over, then Why R U will flow better and make more sense. And I think more people would find the show interesting and keep watching, instead of just dropping it because it's a bit of a mess.
On SaifahZon Story Dec 5, 2020
I wish that the "after the concert" footage--where Zon learns that Zol's novel was never deleted, so he now believes his relationship with Saifah is fiction after all, and he wants to break up with Saifah--could be merged into the main show somehow. Instead of just exist as special episodes.

When I watched Why R U, I thought it was weird that the writers just dropped most of the "is it fiction or is it real" story line. But with this new footage, I realize they didn't just drop that story line at all. The show would make more sense, and would benefit, from having the Saifah/Zon post-concert footage merged in. But I'm not sure it's possible.

Oh, yeah, I forgot (already!) about the Thorn/San scene. What was that about? Was that awkward scene, with cringey dialog, just there to establish that San now has a boyfriend and isn't annoyed with Type anymore?

Leo and Fiat have potential but I'm not optimistic that the show will deliver. All we are getting is bad dialogue…
Remember when Techno, Type, and their friends ate out while Tharn was home with his family, celebrating his birthday, in season 1? I compare that scene with Leo/Fiat/friends "eating out" scene. In the Season 1 scene, the guys are ragging on Tharn, and Type stands up for Tharn. That "eating out" scene moved the plot (and Type's evolution) along very well. But I don't think the Season 2 Fiat/Leo/friends "eating out" scene did a very good job moving the plot forward at all.

About your last point, my best guess is that the boss didn't like Type even before the thing with the girlfriend…
I realize this is going to seem unfair, but in this situation, I think Type should bring in a photo of a girl (actually a female friend who is willing to let Type use the photo) and put it somewhere at work where others will see it. Then the nurse will hopefully understand Type is taken, the boss will see Type seems to have a *girlfriend*, and it would make the next 6 months working there much easier. And then Type will have 1 year on his resume, like he wants, and he could go somewhere else.

Or if Type doesn't want to post a photo, he could bring in flowers, or a stuffed animal, with a (fake) card from his (fake) girlfriend and make sure everyone sees them.

Ideally, you should not have to do this. But in real life, and in my experience, some situations call for temporarily doing things you would not normally do, so that you can get through a rough time. If that means lying for 6 months to get through the year, Type should do it. It sucks, having to resort to subterfuge, but it's not like he would be harming anyone or jeopardizing anyone's life or career.
