You should rewatch the conversations.FL humiliated the teacher because she could benefit. The teacher didn't understand…
I agree with most of what you've said but from their conversation today it seemed like there is a formal route to be taken in such a case with the school board, which she didn't, as also admitted during her conversation with Jun Ho. So no, she was not completely selfless or wishing for the benefit of her students. There are traces of selfishness in that decision.
Secondly, The white-haired witch is the most despicable character for me after Pyo but what she said in that conversation with SHJ was nothing but facts. She (SHJ) seems to have some inferiority complex about her job (or so it seems) and she projects that on everyone by acting like a hypocrite (here with Pyo leaving "high school" to become an academy instructor and with Jun Ho when he wanted to leave his apparently "promotion awaited managerial job" for academy teaching). So yes, she (Choi Hyeong) might be a bad person and a businesswoman, but what she said here in this conversation are all facts.
Sometimes, we sympathise so much with a character that we fail to see all their shortcomings. Yes, SHJ is a beautiful and considerate woman who loves her students and thinks about them a lot but I feel like she does not look positively upon her job or needs constant reaffirmation (in terms of stories like people she is helping) and that has been reflected many times in this show. For instance, she acts like a businesswoman herself when deciding to switch academies but suddenly Si Woo comes who reminds her of the idealistic job and the higher purpose and she wants to succeed in making him shine and whatever and now she wants to stay. So yes, that is a very big personality issue that is coming into play in today's episode quite a lot. It doesn't make her a bad woman or teacher or weak. It makes her human.
Is this good guys? For reference, I've watched Bubblegum of Jung Ryeo won and I enjoyed that. I'm also in love…
Off the topic but omg, I rarely find people mention Bubblegum and talk about it. What an underrated gem from the golden era of Kdrama! I absolutely love that show and Lee Dong Wook and Jung Ryeo Won have to be one of my favourite pairings!
Love this show and recommend it as well. It's a slow burn initially just like bubblegum and I personally find the chemistry between the leads here to be insane!
So if someone criticized a doctor for doing a bad job what will be your response to them that treat your own illness??…
Just because you're incapable of separating your feelings thereby preventing them from hindering the friendship doesn't mean others are also like that.
I'm not saying everyone has to be friends with their ex but countless people like that exist. I personally know so many of them. It is especially common when you share the same group of friends. It is very unrealistic and impractical of anyone to expect someone to just change their circle built over years over a breakup! That does not make you a coward, it makes you strong because you're able to prioritise what makes you happy. Plus, feelings end romantically, not as friends or humans. For someone pointing out illogical arguments, yours seems to be full of one fallacious statement after the other.
Instead of being a bully in the comments and calling people cowards and psychopaths, learn to be a better human first.
Made it to episode 6 before I couldn't take any more and dropped it. I have seen this FL in other things, and…
I completely agree about this show. I personally just started Episode 6 and am planning to drop it myself.
1. Why is the actress talking like that? I've lived in China and seen many Chinese shows. Chinese women do not talk like that. I don't know why they have to baby her down so much. It is not attractive at all.
2. I absolutely hate it when shows do this but what's with the FL having no self-respect? Is she not a famous actor? Like her acting does not suit her own supposed character. She can do so much better than a random doctor but yet we see her shamelessly throwing herself at him. It's a different story if they showed anything special that made her fall for him. Here, it literally starts with an apparent eye contact when she was under the influence of drugs??? Makes no absolute sense!
good life experiences and business but what a major let down, lol
I'm on episode 26, and I'm still waiting for even 1% of chemistry between the supposed main leads. I think I mistook this for a romance, so I'm highly disappointed. This is just a through and through business drama.
To each its own, I guess. Personally, I don't find any problem with student-teacher relationships if there is not a huge age gap, there is no abuse of power and the people are sensible enough to make decisions. I mean, we often find partners at places or with people we spend the most time, so it's the same for them. So, for that reason I'm not able to find any problem with them having that past and I've actually not thought about it much until they themselves bring it up.
Is ML is abuser or alcoholic drunkard? What right does FL have take away all his precious years with his child.…
She gave the birth to the child alone because he was so engulfed in this hate for the FL for whatever reasons (not saying right or wrong) that it's her choice who she involves in the life of that (her!) child???
I'm unable to understand the beef this Vice Director has (because it hasn't been revealed) with Hye Jin but the fact that there's so much talk around it but no rationalisation in terms of explanation is making me super mad.
I'm usually very very good with slow burn. In fact, that's actually my preferred genre but this is just annoying me so much to not know what the hell is the problem of this woman. At this point I just want Hye Jin to up and leave!
Slow burners aren’t for everyone. For me it’s very entertaining and I’m so invested in the plot, I love…
Let's hope this kiss is a start for that. Sometimes things happen in the moment and I'm hoping this one will lead to a better relationship (moments of understanding) between them. Until now, I've not seen her look at him as anything but her student so I'm hoping this would change her perspective leading to a change in the chemistry dynamics which seemed to be not apparent as such until now.
The kissing scene felt quite rush to me. I think it's better they would have showed us more about their feelings…
I actually felt it was okay. Like, it would be fine if it was delayed, but sometimes things happen in the moment and that's fine too. So for once, I actually enjoyed the moment in serenity without thinking about 100 other things. I don't know if I'm able to explain but what I mean is something like maybe this kiss would be what pushes them to actually talk about themselves and not their students/classes/work, etc.
I agree with most of your thoughts, although I gave it a 7.5. It was better than IOTNBO in a vast number of ways.
When I compare it with other shows, I feel like it is grossly underrated. But that could also be because of the lesser known star cast? I don't know if these actors are as famous as KSH. 🙈
I'm loving it. It's slow on the romance (though you do see instances of admiration here and there) but personally I'm fine with the wait. So if you're good with slow burn, I'd recommend to watch it.
the female was rude when rejecting the male lead to be an instructor and at any step he is taking to approach…
Not commenting on anything else but isn't it normal for her to not be the same? They've grown and maybe even grown apart? Nothing tells us they stayed in touch other than the teacher's day visit ML used to make apparently. It's normal for them to not have the same relationship anymore.
