See, usually, I would agree. I actually said something the other day that I will just repeat here for context.

He proposed to her knowing the struggle she was going through (she lost her job, was trying to get back on her feet). In the show, they don't show that things were going wrong because of either side before the story starts so nobody knows that and it's safe to assume things were good because there have been no complaints. So him being ignorant of the current situation and putting himself first (to fulfil his needs of a stable family) does not sound to me like he patiently waited for her. In fact, to me, it seems like he wanted to guilt trip her into feeling the break-up was her fault for not prioritising him when anyone in such a one-off situation would focus on their work.

I'm also surprised he didn't actually hit her? Like, considering he is a violent wife-beater, what was he doing holding up that brick instead of actually throwing it when so much is at stake (she has legit evidence) 🤔😂

Honestly, I don't think he tried even a little for that relationship to work out, but I guess there's always going to be that difference in perspective.

He could've distanced himself very easily if he was so serious about rejecting her. Knowing that she likes you and then letting her come over again and again and have cozy dinners and letting her fold your clothes and cook for you in your kitchen.... all of this doesn't sound completely innocent. Surely he's not that slow to know what was happening...

See, shameless does not mean "not shy", so it comes across as pretty offensive and triggering. Thank you for clarifying your intention. I for once did not judge her reaction, it is pretty normal and acceptable.

Just fyi, I wasn't prioritising my thoughts. The dictionary definition of shameless is "having or showing no feeling of shame, modesty, or decency". Calling anyone shameless is not cool and very offensive and I rightly called that out. I understand now that it wasn't what you meant, but you need to understand how it came across to someone who doesn't know you (or the reference that you were talking about a particular culture because you did not refer to that and made a general comment).

Nonetheless, I'm sorry if you felt hurt, wasn't the intention. :)

lol, what is shameless about being confident in your wants and desires? I absolutely understand JX's thought process and respect her reaction but to generalise it and call people who feel comfortable enough in such situations as shameless sounds pretty pathetic! It's not unheard of people to just have sex, and not talk about feelings for a very long time and yet remain civil instead of just avoiding the other like the plague. I mean, to some, avoiding the other might sound alien and childish....

I've watched two dramas by Xu Kai before. While I always thought that he was handsome and a great actor, this is the first role that has had me swooning. He looks so hot, I just can't handle his perfect smile, brilliant dressing sense and the sexiness that radiates from him in this role. I think this has to be the best of him that I've seen. Definitely becoming a Xu Kai fangirl with every new episode.

Also, Xu Kai (HT) as a boyfriend/lover is killing me. What's with those drop-dead gorgeous (but somehow still innocent) smiles!!!!!

I actually disagree. All three women were equally interested and were often seen initiating conversation, even if it was just them being polite. About the numbers, if I took pictures on someone else's phone, even I would ask for a way to connect to get those pictures. He asked for his pictures, and the woman gave the number so she must've been comfortable enough to do so.

Just because people don't do something as a cultural practice in their nation, doesn't mean they have to conform to it, lol, what kind of an argument is that. Women were not allowed to drive in Saudi at a point, so Saudi women should not drive even when they're in Korea?

But I get what you mean by conflict of view. I personally found JX to be unaccomplished and vain for the business. But their stellar chemistry has made up for it so it's chill only. I skip the business parts now because of just how stupidly hilarious and impossible they are.

From what I've seen on this page, there are apparently many who are fine with it because you spend your life with your "love" not your "friends". That is literally (exactly) what I saw in some discussion (on some forum). So, it's okay however you're finding that love (load of BS, but it is what it is).

You’re so right and this was the biggest obstacle I was facing in this show because I love business and many aspects were not making sense because obviously this is fiction.

But, all of what JX says and believes in looks very good on paper, but it is not practical. And I can say this as someone who did her masters in the field (and had to do so many HR and management case studies 😭😭) that not even the most aspirational environments are like this.

But I guess you learn from your mistakes. She learnt after the whole printer fiasco and brought changes in the management. It’s just that I feel when you have such a big investor (in terms of quantum), it shouldn’t have taken you that long to do it because this is something just so basic. But it’s fiction and dramatised so trying to make sense of anything is just like talking to a wall.

This makes me even more curious though because I've been unable to grasp/understand this, but what exactly is her job? Does she even have one?

Also, you're so on point about the second part. It's a different thing for you to hit on your friend's ex (which I highly frown upon, if that wasn't clear, lol), but you did not even have the decency to check your friend's well-being even once. That's just mind-boggling and unacceptable. If she had shown one ounce of respect for JX in this situation, just maybe (like a big maybe), I would've understood her a bit better. However, she's nothing but a shameless snake.

Too bad, I have this bad feeling that they're going to show the girls (at least the FL) to be this sacrificial being who wouldn't say much because of "friendship". And that pisses me off even more...

I've watched till Ep 20 and I don't feel like she has many scenes. But wherever she does, for whatever limited period, she really annoys the crap out of me. It's like she's not playing games, in the sense - she wants to irritate you and she does that from the first second, so even 10 seconds feel long.

But technically speaking, no, I personally don't think she has a lot of screen time. In fact, a few episodes don't have her at all.
