Agree with you. Its generating buzz. I think the pacing or directing or something is not quite with me for the last 4 episodes (up to 31).. It was brilliant until then so its hard to know until the end if they paced it ok so we shall have to see. But the romance issue (I think its tough cos its a revenge novel not a love story per se and the novel directs a lot of it.. thats why I am hoping for the novel's extra bits - romance was all THERE with their kid) But they cannot conjure things not in the novel either so its tough and I think they already took liberty to execute many "little nuggets" of togetherness or other forms of flirting as best they can.

As for the episode cuts, unless its official, it will all be rumours. And its odd, cos these dramas are vetted to the hilt... so sigh unless something dramatic or someone really high up is unhappy, it will be ok.

I think he said it before when fans asked him to get into a drama that unless the script was a good one, he didn't want to film for the sake of filming. It must be good or it must have good co stars that he wants to act with.

Actually I think Yu Zheng would have never given her up. He has always been supportive of her. But she just needed the right role to shine again, She tried various roles and some more successful than others but thats what an actress does. I am so sorry to find that C drama land is so critical of all their actors and actresses, the minute they do not have a hit then they must be bad, or poor acting etc. I also hate them comparing them all the time. Just enjoy the drama and their roles in their own. SIGH... but almost ALL the fandoms compare roll eyes....

Jin Yan mentioned some years ago that there is a lull period where they didnt have much resources and it was very hard for all the actors and they couldnt film or didnt have good scripts so maybe its very very competitive for them. SIGH

It depends on whether they do the extra bits of the novel. The novel ends rather like the usual C dramas where he just shows up and they meet. But the extras are where all the action happens.. marriage and a child that they both spoil.

Oh i liked royal feast. It was nice and she was also good in it. But i didnt like the costumes I found them "heavy" for her tiny frame... But of course I think not every drama is Yanxi Palace popular for sure!
