Based on the trailer Hmm.. they placed difficulties before the marriage ceremony... was this in the novel? I don't recall that being the case..... anyone else remember?

In short, he was jealous of his wife's brother whom his son greatly admired. Additionally, his wife was "superior" to him. There is also a plot twist with regards to his wife, his son and his second son. But all in all, he was a baddie in the novel (he keeps trying to cause problems during their marriage but they come out on top all the time) but how it pans out in the drama... we shall see

They need to make more dramas like that :)

This is one of the attractions of the drama.. like Shen Li.. i personally cannot take the too many confusing love lines and everyone loves me approach... its just too much for me. So I am loving this one (and loved shen li also)

The bad writing and changes we wont be able to know until it plays out.. hahhah this one potentially could also go bad,.. they could write some stupid war he goes into and doesnt come back (THE HORROR!)

Dou Ming isnt a very nice character in the novel, She is the typical step sister that is jealous of her elder sister. She ends up being upset with her husband because our FL ends up so happily married and cherished by her husband and they continue to be the "power couple" in the capital. She keeps comparing her husband with the ML who is loved by the emperor and doing well in his position whilst Wei is weak and does not have a high court position. Basically Wei turns out exactly what FL warns her about in the drama. In the novel also, Wei's mother is alive and his sister and mother both dislike Dou Ming.

This one is tricky. She doesnt know enough about him and has no real access to him per se and the details surrounding his mother's demise (at least in the novel... its very much later that they discover the mystery surrounding his mother and his brother (hint hint)) and if they will introduce another character per the novel. The drama.. is already different so I am not sure how it will play out but even if she knew the future, she couldnt stop it. What killed his mother, she has no means to stop even if she told him and that will destroy a major plot twist later. But what she has done is by being with him and being there for him, she stopped him from being destroyed by the pain, loss and betrayal and that is the change in life from the rebirth.

Yes indeed. But I wonder if they will keep to the novel for their married life... let's watch on! :)

Well to be honest the novel ended on a good note but not the traditional type of happy ending because they already got married and much of the novel was abt their married life interactions and how much they love and grow together.. they also have a kid so I am not sure how the drama will pan it out!

Hopefully we wont get haters rating it downards.. like Shen Li and the Double ....

The untamed was a great show.. launched the careers of the 2 ML but it was also very very "controversial" for its fan wars... and fandoms that spawned.. the poor girl just got stuck in that.. sigh such a pity. But C netizens and their policy makers are a force to be reckoned with.....

Dont be let's just watch it... its good so far, let's have faith!

so true... i watched Love Game and it was whimsical and not too bad.. but the last 5 episodes was confusing as hell.

Can I say the leads are doing a great job so far.. their eye contact are sizzling, be it puppy eyed looks of interest or yearning.. intense gazing to try to find out what the other is thinking or being coy etc... I am really enjoying their "eye" acting...

Well the novel spent a lot of time addressing this issue of what he knew and was he involved with Song Mo's mother's death and their tangled mess of relationships (parents) But I doubt the drama will elaborate so much. Song Han was a bit more complex in the novel but i suspect they might make him one dimensional in the drama due to time constraints.. we shall have to see how it ends up .

Let's just say his little brother is a lot more sus if they follow the novel.. but it comes out much later, both his father and his little brother. But only if they follow the novel. Not sure how they will adapt to the drama

There is a huge family secret about Song Mo's parents.. if they follow the novel.. I am not sure if they will do it for the drama so I wont mention it yet. But for sure Song Mo is not the father's fav.
