Quality of a movie but it's a 28-episode drama. The aesthetic, acting and camerawork are all on point. Nan Ya and Zhou Luo characters are both interesting, but what surprises me is Lin Fan Lu. Geez his eyes and cinematic gazes pulled me in right from episode 1. Can't wait to see how the stories unfold.
Wow truly amazing show, heartwarming and headache-free (so far). 7-day waiting is painful but worth it. Each episode feels wholesome since I didn't skip a single second. I love Seseung and Jaehyung. They are entertaining to watch even when they are together or seperate with the others. Everone else is lovely too. I don't dislike anyone, which is quite rare lol since I usually find at least one irritating character in a dating show. Not this one!
Hong Su Zu should seek an acting class or some sort. Getting the main role at this point is out of her range. If a capable actress plays Na Hye Won, maybe I'd be a bit less annoyed with that character. Just a bit though, since overall her role is quite bland yet unreasonably coddled ... Hee Joo character seems more interesting. I'm suffering from SFL syndrome again oh well... Rooting for Hee Joo and Tae Oh! Their arc and the bromance are my main motivation to watch this.
The plot and overall production seem to have gotten better than the former 2 seasons. But the cast... there's something about them that I can't quite put my fingers on it. Most of them seem superficial, and tend to overreact, especially the girls. Like, MANGOOO, girl?! And, girl, you were eating raw carrots and canned chicken breast, and you told me inferno is better?? I know she was trying to impress the guys by saying that, and I will never understand her thought process there lol. Also, the cast's intention to make the show dramatic and "spicy" seems too obvious to me. About this, the first 2 seasons seem far more superior, I could feel several people among the cast have high IQ and/or EQ, down-to-earth and less cringy, like Yea-won S1 and Nadine S2. Hoping for some sprinkle of genuine moments in the upcoming episodes, although we all know they are here to promote themselves, rather than have genuine connections.
Gong Shang Jue is 10/10. He is super smart, has a damn gorgeous sculpture of a face, appears dark and villainy but actually has great morals, is sweet to his little brother Yuan Zhi, willing to do everything (literally had sacrificed so much) for the Gong family. Perfect man that stands out, and of course in this kind of plot, is expected to not end well lol.
Watching this drama makes me feel like I'm being immersed in a melancholic novel. What I Iove the most is the atmosphere this creates, mellow and poetic, yet suffocating and tormented. Watched this back in 2021 and I still think about it every now and then, that's how you know it's good. I know this style of drama is not for everyone, but as someone who loves imperfect characters and their ambiguity, I consider Reflection of You a masterpiece.
I love the idea of Janghyun moving on with Lee Chung Ah but I feel like it's not going to happen because it goes against what the writer wants to brand him. The 1vs 100 fight scene where he thought of Gilchae and mumbled "sound of flower" hasn't aired yet. It might be the ending scene, meaning he never gets over Gilchae.
I just want to understand something، what was the benefit or reason for doing this drama in two parts، can anyone…
They're doing 2 parts because they want to spend more time on filming and post-production during the gap. Plus the Asian Games is coming in a few weeks. MBC will be broadcasting it and likely cancel any dramas aired within that period.
