ep. 6...now she is pregnant and the husband acts as if it's the best news ever...sir, did you forget your sidepiece?

This may sound weird but I personally like dramas with an infidelity storyline. But most of the time they show a reason or something like that for said infidelity. This one seems really random. Sure she has her reasons but he doesn't. Especially as a newlywed. There are no troubles in paradise yet. But he jumped to the opportunity and acts as if they are in love or some shit.

ep. 6....the coochy can't be that good?! You going head over heels for someone who wasn't on your mind couple of days/weeks/months ago is wild. Acting like your in a whole ass relationship. What a loser

But I just remembered that her mother sold off a child to a random person to get revenge on someone who he thinks killed her cheating husband... crazy is in her genes

also it's weird that the "best friend" is always there. Even if you are best friends... don't you have a life outside the friendship. This seems unhealthy.

As of ep. 4...The bestfriend being brainwashed to believe the mother's reality is one thing but her indoctrinating it over and over again to erase her whole relationship with her friend is drastic. Also who is she hurting more? The father who she is supposedly hating or her well now former friend who has nothing to do with this?

also the husband....why would you go along with the seduction attempt? We didn't get to see any struggles in their marriage so it's a little random. What it tells me though is that he is weak minded and easily swayed.

Honestly I am amazed of the level of manipulation the husband is able to exercise.

That's possible. But I think she was way too obsessed with the whole case and as her daughter mentioned she wanted to have a reason for them to separate. I wouldn't put it pass her to do something morally dubious to get her way. It felt like she used the law as an excuse to put down MuRin and his whole family. Even if it would be just another case of someone doing something "wrong" to help/protect a close family member as in her mind she was doing it to "protect" her daughter

You are right. However, that doesn't justify her taking illegal measures to obtain evidence. Unless MuRin's car is actually hers (which I don't remember them mentioning), she had no right to get the memory card from the dash cam and request some data recovery and use that as evidence.

I'm a little cynical to think she was pushing him for his future. I think it was mostly for her because everyone there knew he was her son in law and she doesn't want to lose face by him not being ambitious. And as you said this would also be beneficial to her career. I also can't shake the feeling, and I don't want this to seem misogynistic, that her character has to be extra tough. Not only as a female chief but also as the mother of a fellow detective and the mother in law of another. Sometimes writer make females in leading positions extra harsh to make them appear "powerful" and "tough" as if they wouldn't be in that position otherwise.
