I know we are all on GJ'side and he is definitely the best character. However we should also recognise that the amount of him caring for other people and trying to please them is unhealthy. Let's imagine DR didn't have a change of heart. She was the only one that kept him afloat while also being intangled in the mess that dragged him down. I am surprised that he didn't change or selfdestruct. He is a people pleaser, a very sympathetic one but still. Sometimes I wonder if my pity for him clouds my judgement.
Damn the vocal effects and processing went crazy for the life performances. I mean it's fairly standard to have effects on live vocals like reverb or autotune to in the best case subtly enhance the audio. However, those performances sounded overproduced. If you want to show live singing it has to sound like live singing. Some artist go even that far to have a life sounding recording to lip sync to. The audience wants to hear live vocals and not something that sounds like just a backing track. I don't say they replaced the audio with another track or they were lip syncing but it bordered on sounding unnatural and not even studio polished.
This is completely a complaint towards production and nothing against the contestants
I am pleasantly surprised. They were like "we are a CO!ME!DY!" and somehow it works.
Let's face it the premise of Ossan's Love in general is very zany and they leaned right into it. In a show like this you are more than welcome to bring on all the overacting and sound effects
The high horse that Tae Ung sits on is ridiculously far up there in the stratosphere. Just go to your rich daddy and don't pretend that you of all people have some kind of moral superiority
I know this is quite random...but does anyone else remember that when BH went to the chairman to ask for the money she lent him and he said that his girlfriend of the time gave it back to her? I always had this theory that BH never got the money and the "girlfriend" just banked it. But we never got a follow up. Maybe this plot point was dropped during the rewrite. Anyways I always found it hard to believe that she got the money back without realising it. And this would have been a good starting point for a chairman's redemption arc. But without it, it's obvious why everyone dislikes him (including me)
I sensed it as him feeling obligated because no one cared for him during his upbringing and FL's mother showed him some kindness. I doubt that he actually cares for them but it's more like him settling his debt. Like he is trying to play matchmeker for the mother
I feel like today's episode showed finally some progress.
However I also feel like the writer either doesn't care about CTU or don't know what to do with him. His character is not developing ever since he moved into the other house and I feel like he is also not contributing to the story whatsoever
I don't feel bad at all. I feel bad for Gang Ju, he craves his dad's love and his dad couldn't care less.. OUCH
me neither that's why I am wondering if the writers wants us to feel pity. His behaviour is off-putting but I wonder if they thought they did enough to make us emphasize with him

Sure he was a "victim" of the hand he was dealt with at birth and during his upbringing but even before his bio parents came into the picture he was living a modest yet comfortable life. His situation wasn't bad in any shape, way or form. Now he is handed a whole lot of extra and he walks around like he deserves this and he is better than some others. This sudden entitlement is very off-putting.
I hate the live audience voting. Let's be real...they will most definitely always vote for the team with the more "handsome" contestants. Telent is secondary
