no offence, but idk what the ruckus is about. as someone who’s watched the og there was nothing exceptional about that drama for me. it’s a fun watch, but nothing that would make it to my top kdrama list. so naturally i didn’t have much expectations for this one, but i’m actually enjoying it more than i’d believed i would. the mongolian bg story, the generational superpowers, the drug trafficking, everything looks interesting so far. not saying one is better than the other, just don’t understand why the og is put on a pedestal… maybe it’s the nostalgia like previous comment mentioned
i'm so excited to see the son break off his dad's first love and push him to his mother instead. i'm also dreading the devastation that'll come when the dad's story is unveiled. the drama looks very promising so far!
the shade "the actor decided to get married after he reached the age of 40."
actually it's becoming quite common in korea to get married at a late age. and as a celebrity too this is nothing surprising. idk what the shade here is, maybe i'm missing something?
Binged on this all night! I'll admit to skipping some parts bc i was mostly there for the roommate couple. But must say i thoroughly enjoyed the show and the friendship they built over such a short time. Personally I found Jeongwook soooo cute and I wish him all the happiness in the world. I'm surprised I didn't recognise HJ before he revealed his yt channel name (altho he did seem familiar) because I've been a subscriber for quite a while now. I love that they're all continuing to stay in touch and that the roomies are still going strong. Best wishes to all of them, may you find happiness, be it career wise or in love life or in any form you wish for it ❤
I'm feeling iffy about the ending, but one aspect I loved about this drama was how they didn't push the "dad" to be the dad. because regardless of being the biological father he was never a part of her life for almost 30 years, it just doesn't sit right with me if suddenly he sprang into her life and claimed "I'm your dad and i'll act like one." Same goes for him having to play the role of the "dad" suddenly because he realised about a daughter he's never known about for almost 3 decades. it's best that he remained "ahjussi" to her till the end, and in case they decide to marry in the future then he can become the dad but more like a stepfather. love how the biological aspect gives him no unnecessary rights (which isn't usually the case.) i have sm respect for her mother emphasising that jinhee is her daughter and hers alone every chance she gets.
Although not perfect, I really liked this drama. I loved the messaging of it:1. Normalise choosing your own family.2.…
but did she actually let go? it was going all well and then she decides to show up at the airport. they went their separate ways tho, but the ending showed selfies of them backpacking together... so idk what to conclude?
People already fighting over what's better the episodes of the kids or parents. Me just facepalming. I hoped and…
as someone who enjoyed the kids' ep too much, i was actually worried how i'd feel about the parents' ep. i thought they'd atleast have a lil screentime. but even though i was wrong i did not even for a sec miss the kids bc i was so invested in the parents' story. totally agree with you, the structuring is done so well!
the uncanny counter exists. it's a superhero fantasy that aired 3 years ago. the counters use their superhero…
but unlike tuc where they work collectively as counters and are governed by entities in the "afterlife", moving has ppl with superpowers scattered and rather than fighting "evil" it's about government secrets and politics that evolve out of this. also the people were born with superpowers and hereditarily pass it on to their children. i don't think just because superpower is involved these dramas can be clubbed together because they wary in many other aspects. also the casting of moving is crazy i think the MCU ref is very apt
