just the length of the 4 eps recap shows how much has already happened in the span of merely 4 eps, there are no fillers at all, this is why this drama is superior and everyone must watch it !!!
in the commentary keh mentioned that while she wanted to add more of his background into the story she couldn't,…
the commentary was only ep 1-4 (obv as commenting bout later eps would be a spoiler) what KEH mentioned was his family's socioeconomic status, that doesn't really have to be his backstory, if she left that out maybe she felt that wasn't too relevant to the story? idk. but i get what you mean by him not feeling like a main character yet, his partner surely has more screen time than him. but even if it's a smaller scene if it feels important that would do, however as of now HongS surely doesn't feel like such an important element to the plot. maybe as the plot progresses he gets more involved, otherwise why would they have him on the poster and list him as main role
in the commentary keh mentioned that while she wanted to add more of his background into the story she couldn't,…
that's interesting, because i thought the enigma surrounding his character was also in a way adding depth to the character. Because just like we're tryna find answers to the ghost's story, trying to decipher him through the way he acts and these snippets from the past is also intriguing. KEH also mentioned how he is a character who altho from a similar financial situation to SY, struggled to reach where he is now. And while SY is confident of her roots HongS unlike her wants to hide that part of him. So maybe that's one reason KEH decided to not add his story. It is one reason he felt drawn to SY, the contradicting ways they respond to the similarity in their living situation.
In the commentary I love how OJS reiterates that his character is no hero but a human, and substantiates it with scenes like getting hit by the car at the beginning of ep1, getting hit in the head and icing his arm after holding the door to save the kid in ep 2, stumbling back when the crossdressed loanshark charges towards him in ep 3, etc. He says right from the first scene where he runs across the bridge he is shown as not a hero but someone who failed at saving the person. I'm curious about whether this is a mere reflection of his past (him not being able to save his mom) or whether it is a foreshadowing of how things will end for him and SY.
HongS living situation is like SY so I’m wondering why they didn’t include those scenes or I’m assuming…
in the commentary keh mentioned that while she wanted to add more of his background into the story she couldn't, so i'm assuming there won't be much of his story
Sanyoung's mom definitely carries the key of the mystery. If only she could be upfront with her daughter, when…
i think the reason she can't be upfront is bc wtv happened, she's trying to put it all behind and live a new life like none of that ever happened. could be due to the trauma from the events. she thinks she had started again with a clean slate when she divorced and moved away from the husband, but now that her daughter is getting involved with these stuff again, it could be opening up old wounds. if SY and HS finally decides to reveal bout the ghost with the mom, maybe she'll willingly open up as her daughter's life is in danger
I'm 20 minutes into the first episode and I already hate Sanyoung's mother. She doesn't work and depends on her…
totally agree with you that the mom is annoying, but we're slowly finding out why she's like that. we're only at ep4, but huge hints have been dropped now. things will gain more clarity in the coming eps
I watch each ep of revenant like I'm watching a movie. It's just sooo good. It doesn't leave us with merely one wow factor, each scene is significant on their own and there's so many things to talk about from just one episode. OH GOD! I'm so overwhelmed with emotions rn. THIS IS A MASTERPIECE! HATS OFF TO THE CAST AND CREW 🙌🙌🙌
100% sure cho won will not believe her and instead get REAL mad at her,, the whole past lives thing just sounds…
that was one of the most ridiculous thing in the webtoon how everyone was so easily accepting of her, sure took some time, but in my opinion felt like too little time to accept something so absurd
at ep 5 rn, and think she prob killed him as self defense. the shoe removing scene literally gave me creeps. feel like he'd be the spoiled type who'd never take a no and would try and attain things forcibly if not willingly given to him.
the way he goes "you're already suspicious. stop doing suspicious stuff" 😠my girl can't even explain herself…
lol didn't mean he's a "rude person" just that his character is not too friendly to SY rn. esp with the talking down part when she clearly doesn't like it. also that was no advice, it was more of a threat (he indirectly said "you better stay in and make no more trouble. i'm watching you") it probably sounded like an advice to you bc you're reading the translation, i heard him say it in Korean. sorry bout mentioning romance tho, when you interpreted a clearly tense interaction into something "good" just reminded me of those edits 😅 my bad really. dk if you interpreted my comment as me not liking him, incase you did that's not the case. honestly i find his rudeness amusing, esp when he told off that bride-to-be at the dinner 😆
