it's kinda obv that they're going for that arc and i like that instead of making them them awful obsessive plot disrupters, this will somehow add more layer to their characters. falling in love from tryna sabotage someone else's relationship, reduces their stereotypical villain images to a notch

i get what you mean. this is just a theory, but how i interpreted it was that, her dad must've thought like the audience rn that the shaman is the ghost but then realised the ghost is juvenile. while the shaman initially had the hair accessory, when she kills the veiled child (assuming it is a child since she had girls lined up like she was shopping for one in prev scene), the child has the accessory. also the first time sanyoung touches the accessory doesn't she recall a girl being dressed up to wear it? there's also the fact that the ghost's face is never revealed even when haesang sees her, it's only the shadow. so rather than the shaman whose identity can be revealed if they dig enough, the hidden girl being the ghost seemed more relevant to me. Since their goal is to identify the ghost, it being a nobody (random girl noone knows much about) would be much complicated than some shaman who looked wealthy and popular enough. i might be completely off, but this is where i'm at bc we're only 2eps in. it'll surely take a few more eps to have proper clarity.

exactly! it's not visually scary rather it's about the eeriness of the situation they're in. feels like a very much plausible scenario irl and not fantastical like other horror dramas i've seen. tbh wasn't sure about how they'd bring in youth to this, but somehow they've managed to blend it in well without making it stand out awkwardly

for ppl saying this ain't scary, i don't think they've described it as horror in any interviews. everywhere i've seen they describe it as occult mystery. so it's more about journey to discover the truth about the supernatural than inducing fear. and thus there are no jumpscares or freaky looking ghosts, it's more of a mindgame with the spirit

I really love the pacing of this drama, keeps us engaged, they don't drag one storyline to fit into 2-3 eps. Ep 2 was no let down, absolutely loved how surprised I was when it ended like "already!!?" My current fav drama!!

it's been a while since i've been properly hooked into an airing drama, the wait is going to be torture (esp since taeri said ep endings are gonna be epic)
