The time they spent on them was meant to show us Madam Chen's true colors, she ends up being the final villain…
some one gets it.....the whole arranging her daughter's marriage with some friends he of a high class and doing whatever it takes to make it happen...including putting her own daughter's life in danger was meant to show us what she really is capable of..that in addition to having Yining intervene by revealing she caused the damage of the boat hence forcing her hand to attempt to frame her for murder sadly she's dumb enough to use the same method she used while killing her mom....which is definitely going to expose her and all she did...still the story line of the second couple despite how unnecessary it might seem contributed to revealing her true colours to the family and that can't be ignored.

I understand every ones frustrations but I'd rather have the second lead couple get their issues straight right now and not take up any screen time in the later episodes considering alot will be going on between the leads by then...plus I also consider this whole arranging marriage and doing whatever it takes even if it means putting your child's life in danger a glimpse of what we need to see about Chen LANs character backing up the fact that she's more than willing to kill gu Milan the moment she felt threatened....the birth secret revelation required a build up that leads to it..it was never going to happen out of the blue and even if it did only happen later than every ones wanted it too it was still going to happen non the less and there were things going on that kept the plot interesting enough for me.....anyways since the revelation is happening in today's episode.....story telling is only fun when things happen a step at a time with one thing leading up to the other.. Ofcourse it's normal your patience runs out but where is the fun in everything happening at once....like we want it to...

The writers have done an exceptional job crafting a character who is not only intelligent and quick-witted but also has a cunning side when provoked. Ren Min, who brings this character to life, deserves immense praise for her portrayal.

according to the teasers I think there is an exam.. around EP 25 and 26 there was something about the son to mistress qiao failing the exam so I believe they must have taken another one.

Thag aside another scene that stood out for me was again when Yining confronted Shen yuan about putting her self in danger and relating it to that one time she almost endangered her self by going up against mistress qiao love how she voices out her opinions but also gives room for him to explain in addition to understanding him and then talking it out and boom..solved...
People grow through the different experiences they face..that's the same thing with the FL her being chased out of the theatre group and wanting to try something new because her dream as of now is to make it big isn't a wrong thing..it's a choice that is going to contribute to her journey......I love that they are potraying her journey to achieve her dreams in a way that's a bit relatable..they are showing her struggles and more...the pacing is absolutely okay nothing feels too fast or too slow for me..the story is original and it's inspirational and the acting is raw and amazing...the characters are interesting too...this has the ability to be one of the best dramas this year...if it maintains the quality and even just gets better.....Iam loving it so far.
I think the issue is that romance is a key part of the story, but the mystery of the FL's birth still hasn’t…
There is already a build up in there relationship...when it comes to the way they feel about eachother Iam so sure that will change for her the moment she finds out that they aren't siblings and will start to see him a new light the same way it was for him..nothing is going to feel abrubt...it will still be a contribution of the build up we've been shown...I'll give you an example of the friends to lovers troupe..you see this person as a friend and then one minute your feelings change and the way you look at them which changed the entire perspective of your relationship...Iam not saying it's the same thing it's just an example..she feels that the fondness she has with him is because they are related but the moment she will realise they aren't..then that will change something...the same way it did for her...the romance part will be a transition of their relationship....and considering there is a build up already it will be easy...( per se ) anyways in my opinion...they already have a build up and all that's left is the transition after her birth secret is revealed....which I also hope happens soon
