you wont get much from it but its a fun lighthearted youth romcom to expect from cdramas. dont go in looking for something extraordinary and you wont be disappointed. still has the same problems as normal cdramas with rushed endings, but ive seen a lot worse.
I was having a nice time watching a simple and undramatic drama, when suddenly the last few episodes hit and Dugu's sons end up hating each other, one of them turns crazy, her daughter refuses to acknowledge her existence, and she loses her longstanding relationship with her husband, and then she dies. Can I not watch a single historical drama without it trying to be a tragedy.
This is basically a story about 2 millenial kids who think they know it all. I have watched 14 episodes and both…
Well, they aren't in the right career. The girl went from interning at a fashion magazine to finish the internship and get granted the job of proofreading for the company downstairs. The guy is an author who suddenly becomes a model. Their behavior is unrealistic, yes, but their situations are too.
Well, for someone who really enjoys both leads as actors, I was kind of disappointed in this drama. Most of the set up doesn't make sense - why are proofreaders in charge of emailing the authors about the story? How is it allowed to follow random people around and take pictures of them? How can someone land into a job that they didn't apply for without someone telling them its their new job? As a viewer, there were just too many coincidences and deus ex machinas for me to really get in touch with the characters and plotline. This isn't helped by the leads lack of palpable chemistry, and there were times when I kept getting confused if they were actually in love or just some solid friends. Love the idea of a romance in a fashion setting, but very confused by the actual presentation.
The novel this drama is based on is written by the same author and the world/setting for this drama is the same…
oml i never realized that i went back to watch the last episodes and the boss actually does call the other coworker momo in alsb and mention doraemon to her
well theres ofc the kind of “icon” of these time travel romcom idol dramas “the eternal love” and also “cinderella chef” and lowkey less conventional “mengfei comes across”. i know “unique lady” is a popular comparison since its also a game type drama. if you like the female lead, check out “oh my emperor”. another one in the genre is “king is not easy” but the male lead for that one is kind of annoying sometimes. if its the xianxia/wuxia part that attracts you (fantasy fighting and clans and stuff) i personally still love a lot of zanilla zhao liyings dramas. if you like the couple, check out prodigy healer! theyre the main couple in that one too. my brain is kind of tired rn but im pretty sure most of these have happy endings (other than the zanilla ones she came from a time of open cliffhangers). hope this helped
qiuyue spends a lot of energy saving chun hua after she gets i think injured? or poisoned?? i dont remember that part well but he heals her and then is all byebye and cant go about his plan of world domination and then comes back but the energy made his hair turn white that ending with them reuniting with his white hair is definitely going to happen its in the ost i think hope that helped :)
lowkey laughing cause qiu yue suffering from chun hua liking xiao bai is legit revenge for xin chen making yunshang jealous with tian yao in prodigy healer if anyone knows what I mean
that ending with them reuniting with his white hair is definitely going to happen its in the ost i think hope that helped :)
also the ChunHua QiuYue ship has finally begun I am ready for that edit-worthy content
