Finally a modern cdrama in a school setting but is not in your face loud and overly colourful and childish. The characters are young but the format is fresh and mature, the lovely soundtrack also adds to the atmosphere.
Anyone know the name of the actor who plays young Seok Pum/Bum in the early episodes? he's the Hwarang who works for Mishil. He looks so familiar and he reminds me of Hyun Woo who's also in this drama.
Where are the eng subtitles TT dramafever got my hopes up for nothing. The epic cdramas with good plots never get subbed, only the boring, imo, romance focused ones do.
From the first trailer I wanted to watch this because it's literally my most favourite theme in terms of what I like in books: fantasy/adventure set in a long arc and told from different perspectives and lifestyles and cultures, you're suppose to love many characters and hate many others. People are comparing it to GOT but from what I've seen this will be better because the writer never finished GOT so the show became trash after season 6.

I definitely agree, the traits you mentioned is what I also liked about Ugly Alert. I haven't heard much about Oh Ja Ryeong and yeah it's probably due to it not being subbed TT and omg I see her resemblance to Sun Li who's an amazing actress. They have the same deep set eyes.

I don't mind a distraction but I just don't like the main character, he gives everything but gets nothing back. Shouldnt he do something for himself? Re when he decides to work on a boat and break up with the girl he loves. How am I suppose to enjoy the relationships he has with his siblings if I think they're all horrible selfish people?
If there's one period drama a drama fan should watch, it is 101% Tree with Deep Roots. Words can't explain how incredibly good this drama is. A one of a kind, satisfaction guaranteed, thrilling, beautiful gem TT

Soo Kyung is seriously annoying, all day it's "oppppaaaa"or "apppppaaa" she doesn't have any come backs, her fiance yells at her or is forceful and demands that she needs to marry him and she's just staring at him pityingly "oppppaaaaaa" like bish tell him off why don't you? and bish you got yourself in this situation! from the beginning you should have drawn a clear line and not got engaged to him. And when you did get engaged to him out of pity but then fell in love you should have broken off the marriage and stopped your family from setting up the wedding dates and shit, like what the fork is up with this girl? mindlessly going through the motions of her life but insisting she's in love with hyun tae, bish hyuntae does not have time for your shenanigans, hyun tae has a son and family to take care of, a job he needs to do he dont got time to mess around with you!!! ok!!!
