Hopefully you gave it a second attempt by now, if not...you're missing out on a really good lakorn. And Thai lakorns…
I understand this now, this genre is a whole new world lol. I finished episode 2 and I have to say that it was not as crazy or as annoying as ep 1. I also increased the speed a little as someone recommended and it definitely helps because I realized Thai dramas spend a lot of time just staring at each other.
I don't think you have watched many lakorns before. I would say they are an acquired taste. Lol! Seriously, most…
Thank you for this comment. You're right I haven't watched a lot of lakorns so I'm definitely not used to it like I've gotten used to the many cliche tropes that are inserted throughout kdramas. I only couldn't believe the 9.2 rating but with your little disclaimer I feel like I understand more. And I don't mind looking past some things if the cliche trope is done well and I can root for the main characters. I'll watch it again and utilize the skip option if there are any draggy moments lol honestly I've watched many dramas like this just because there were only some aspects of the story I liked.
oh that's just the first ep, trust me there's gonna be a hugee twist. They're just summing up everything in that…
I've watched like 2 lakorns to the end so I'm not exactly the biggest fan. But I'm willing to try again with this one if it's only messy in the first episode and you strongly recommending it like that xD
Y'all need to relax, how is this rated 9.2 like it has to be amazing good in every way.. which I highly doubt based on the one episode I watched, I literally wanted to bash my head against the table in how repetitive it was. Every second this chick is screaming, throwing someone on the floor, or kicking them.. and this dude who I assume to be the lead keeps staring into space angrily muttering how much he hates no loathes this girl, how much she disgusts him. He keeps saying this as if to convince himself? Or to convince us viewers even though I'm sure I heard him say it 10 minutes ago to his father??? Is this not an example of bad writing or to a lesser extent, trying too hard? If you want to showcase how evil this girl is there are better ways to go about it, also she doesn't need to do 100 evil things in the span of a half day.. and if we need to know that there is a man who hates her there are less obvious ways to go about it then the man growling how he despises her every time he's on the screen.
I can't stand the Shin Min Ho character, his sillyness and lack of work ethic do not endear me to him, if he continues to get more screen time then interesting characters like Ye Je Wook I'm dropping this show. I love the acting of Lee Yoo Bi, Park Sun Ho and Lee Joon Hyuk.
Lmao from now on I should just watch dramas on tvn jtbc ocn, because it seems like they're only ones trying to put out half decent plot lines. Unfortunate because I really like Kim Hyun Joo.
Everyone was great except for Lee Seoyeong, after she got discovered and started to act bad and selfish, I fast forwarded all her scenes LOL she aint shid. It's a major character flaw when you don't understand why a person does what they do in a drama or what they are thinking when they receive news.. I never knew if her reaction to each new development was happiness? anger? or sadness? The random and unique friendships of Seongjae + Minseok and Lee Samjae + Hojoeng saved this drama.
This drama is trash don't waste your time. Unless it gets better, I'm on episode 13 and I just don't like how messy the story is. It's really not my cup of tea watching the good guys get beaten down (literally and figuratively) constantly with no end in sight. I'm a person who generally loves makjang revenge plots if they're done well.
I won't mind if someone spoils for me at what episode does everyone learn about the switch, because the effect of that and how everyone deals with that (will dongwook be a product of his real father?) is the only thing I'm really interested in right now... Since Dong Chul just can't seem to catch a break where im at.
