Scene: Bo ah whining "like a gf" who's been cheated. lolBo Ah: "you know how I feel" (I like you)Jung Sun: "you…
I think this is the first time a male lead point blank told the overly attached girl that he owes her nothing and that she needs to quit it. I was doing a standing ovation for jung seon!
Literally all of Se Jong's acting is in his eyes, they're so expressive and full of emotion, plus how clear cut and poignant his diction is, making this actor a strong force all on his own in this drama. Lol at all his haters who called him dull and one dimensional thanks to a few teasers and because they wanted a different lead. I really appreciate that our two main characters are so contrite with each other and make a point of talking everything out so there are no lame typical drama trope misunderstandings between. It makes sense because Hyun Soo and Jung Seon really enjoy word games. Let's hope things continue in this same manner.
What if the soldier from the past has dreams too? From the first moment that we saw him, he was out of it, anxious and looked like something was bothering him. Not only that but a soldier wouldn't randomly decide to go off and kill everyone, something happened to him, I bet he had dreams about a future that he couldn't do anything about. In this week's episode they reveal that 3 people born in the year of the dragon have dreams, why? I bet they were triggered by something that happened in the past. Something that had to do with the solider. We can also assume that the soldier is exactly 12 years older than the two main characters at the time of the bus accident. Which means being able to see the future is something that effects those born in the year of the dragon.
Compared to dramas based in similar time periods such as The Disguiser and Rookie Agent Rouge, Sparrow is a way better story imo. The main guy Chen Shen is so crafty and skilled he kinda reminds me of Mei Changsu, the difference is this guy does all the work himself unlike NIF's strategist ????
This is a great start, let's hope it keeps this momentum though. Suzy's acting is very natural and likeable, she's like the major draw for me right now. And although I always liked her I was never the type of delusional fan who thought she was a good actress... But this time she's very convincing bravo to her.
SAME FEELS XD The first episode was just too fast, I felt like I was watching an entire drama's storyline…
Yeah I noticed this is a recurring problem in Taiwanese dramas, they need to work on their editing and storytelling, things need to be linear and easy to follow or else you lose your viewer. Because tbh the plot sounded good...
Right from the first episode I knew this drama wasn't for me. Too many cheesy over the top scenes, and I mean those specific 3 scenes where a lot of stuff happens in 20 minutes, and it's not even clear if these events are happening on the same day or not. This is not good! This is why I have trust issues with Taiwanese dramas. Skipping this one then it is.
I haven't watched a Japanese drama in a hot minute so I was a little hesitant to check this out but the summary made me interested. I'm so glad I did because this drama is definitely a must watch, right from the first episode it draws you in. Kahoko's situation, innocence, perseverance, and growth can touch anyone's heart and possibly even relate to her. Because ultimately her story is that of being an adult but not knowing what makes you an adult or how to get there. I loved every minute of it. And I definitely fell for Mugino Hajime, what a beautiful person.
After my Moon River withdrawals that lasted 2 years now I've finally found the drama to replace those feels with. This is seriously a gem, it's cute, well acted, and very simple day to day stuff which you need once in awhile. I usually gravitate to dramas with more serious plot lines but I need a dose of guilty pleasure like this too. Tang Yibai is so sweet and caring, he's not at all how a male lead is 99.9% of the time portrayed. And I appreciate that!
I got a headache reading the comments blow. Drama barely even started and everybody and their mother is complaining about so is not not suitable no chemistry and gloomy leads. If Yang Se Jong is acting a certain way then damn straight that's what's expected of his role
The best thing that could happen was Netflix picking up the this drama, it's so good and has such high quality you really experience everything that happens at it's best.
Can we just talk about how amazing the youngest son, Kim Yisang is. Like the girl he likes ain't shit but the way he fell for her so hard and how he consistently tells her how he feels about her how great and wonderful she is how she deserves to be treated well is seriously a breath of fresh air in kdramas.hes the best thing about this show and I'm waiting for Eo Yeong to realize how lucky she is that someone like him is interested in her difficult self.
I've been stuck in the 40s for like a year now, someone tell me it gets better and I should push forward with this show. I really don't like how sacrificial our lead man is, I feel like it gets him nothing and makes him look like a loser, like his father was.
I loved your post as this exact thing is something that has been bothering me about kdramas. I've never felt so betrayed as I did in She Was Pretty when our two favourite leading ladies turned on each other, or rather their beautiful friendship got pushed to the side so they can fight for the same guy. Totally unnecessary and didn't make sense since they were suppose to be ride or die. There are way too many instances of bromances, some of them even seem forced since the trend now is bromance and every drama is jumping on it, and there are not enough examples of sisterhood in kdramas.
I guess this is why I gravitated to Age Of Youth and how much impact it left in me, you don't see friendship like that in typical twice a week dramas. In fact the theme in kdramas is women fighting other women, women being betrayed by other women and women envying other women, it's never women showing support love and protection towards other women (that aren't their daughters or mother's). Writers need to change this as it's getting toxic and repetitive.
