This is the first time I analysed a kdrama so much that I can say what key events happened, complete with quotes, and in which episodes lol Usually after I watch something I can't really remember exactly when and what things happened, both if I binge watch a kdrama, or if it's still airing
Also, how can you write a character like NDS and then expect people to NOT root for the SML?
For me he was fine until ep 5/6, then his character went downhill. After the time skip he's a little bit better I admit, but still not enough for me to root for him and to like him again

If she didn't like him AT ALL, then she should have rejected him. And yes she is capable of explicitly rejecting guys, so why she didn't do it with hjp too? That's evil if she's leading him on. No, instead she accepts his help, his nice words and his attention, and she is AWARE that he likes her.
I dig the clown theory that hjp reply to to that sdm letter about sailing off without a map was in fact what he said to nds previously and that he repeats in the elevator (preview ep 15): "if you sail without a map you'll die". So that maybe when sdm hears it she'll come to realization that yeah hjp was indeed himself and truthful when he was writing to her.
The only thing that stops me from enjoying this little theory is the fact that before the rooftop kiss she repeats to nds the sailing off without the map thing and that in ep 2 hjp told nds in the car that he could relate to it
