You might hate me but I'm also not a fan of ML's acting, I'm currently watching A Dream within a dream and I thought it is a comedy drama his character might be different but it is same cold guy character, I might start liking his acting if he plays a joyful character in a good drama, the FL's acting is great though it's my first time seeing her but she is amazing.
Sometimes I think the rating change on MDL is not due to review bombing but a recalibration from the site itself.…
The Verified/Stars Rating of this show is 8.3 and the overall rating of any show is mostly less then Verified/Stars Rating so considering that it has good rating.
Is this really funny? I'm looking for something really funny but it's very rare for a historical cdrama to have comedy genre and even if it is the comedy part is always overlooked so how is the comedy in it?
The romance was not that good in it but still the first half was good as it has good comedy and in second half even comedy wasn't a thing and it was so dragged by the end. Whenever I watch a romance cdrama I don't know why I feel the female lead's acting overshadows male lead's acting because the male leads are always stiff and cold I don't know why is this tuff in China. But still it was a good watch especially the first half was quite funny and the FL's friend was such a beauty it's such a shame that cdrama actors usually don't have instagram.
Netflix and Disney has huge budget for their dramas and pay their cast well because they earn so much out of them.…
If you're talking about possible future then you can be right but I don't think it will happen soon as most of the globally famous series of Netflix like Squid Game, Stranger Thing, You, Alice In the Bodderland, Witcher are coming to and this year. Right now Netflix is quite desperate and even making live action of currently airing anime like One Piece and Solo Leveling because they have no more famous content. If they do increase price in near future then it could backfire as even if kdramas are quite popular but most them have a very specific audience. As you said piracy is already quite common and where I live it is even more common that people don't even prefer to pay 1.5$ which is hardly any amount, everyone knows websites like kissasian and kisskh.
This year literally gave us so many bangers you are just going through kdrama hiatus.
Then you should also try When Life Gives You Tangerines, Melo Movie, Our Unwritten Seoul, Mercy for None, Nine Puzzles, Resident Playbook, The Art of Negotiation, The Haunted Palace, Squid Game. All of them are amazing currently airing Head over Heels and Salom De Holmes also have positive reviews but I'm waiting for them to complete.

Even if you are talking about just production then still if Korean companies are choosing foreign platforms then in the end its all about who makes them most money. I think in your country Netflix is quite costly but where I live it's around 1.5$ a month which you can say is almost negligible. You seem irritated by me even though I don't remember where we interacted but I'll try to remember your name.

I've also watched many cdramas recently but I personally find most of the kdramas released this year really good. The quantity of kdramas increased so obviously the bad ones and repetition also increased but there are so many good ones and I think 2025 is a good year for kdramas.
I don't care about the ratings... HOWEVER I am very nostalgic of that golden age of K dramas not being as trendy…
Netflix and Disney has huge budget for their dramas and pay their cast well because they earn so much out of them. Viki has been in this industry since so long and if Netflix and Disney earn so much then obviously so does wiki so it's their fault that drama makers and actors are choosing Netflix and Disney. You can't blame people for choosing best for them.
