I suspect they've tweaked the algorithm that calculates the ratings
Yes I felt the same, this year we god many good dramas but if they were released couple of years back the rating would've atleast 0.5 stars higher. In past even below average dramas used to get 8+ easily.
Why kdramas now start with so low rating and gradually increase by the end. It's opposite to previous years when ratings used to start high and then gradually decrease.

Go Min Si, Namkoong Min and Nam Joo Hyuk played negative roles too?
Go Min Si played negative role in The Frog. Namkoong Min played negative role in Remember: The War of Son which is one of my favourite villain btw a true pure evil villain. Nam Joo Hyuk played grey character in Vigilante.
Lol I thought Fifty Shades of Grey is getting Korean adaption. Btw nice article hope to see Park Gyu Young, Go Min Si, Shin Ye Eun, Yim Si Wan, Namkoong Min and Nam Joo Hyuk in next parts.
She was obviously casted because she can bring a lot of audience otherwise the article says her screen-time is 5 minutes which is surprising and she didn't even participate in any of the events, the directer even said if it wasn't for Jisoo the character could have been overlooked which says a lot.
