Title My Demon
I saw an earlier comment wondering why the ratings fell... I always wanted to say a few things about rating development:

- You can never really trust early ratings. Obviously, the drama is in that stage still ongoing and there is room for it to go bad or well.
- Sometimes, if a drama has a very high rating at the beginning, it's because fans would even rate a drama a 10/10 even before watching it. Other people rate a drama after at least watching a few episodes, after dropping it or rating it after it finished (the best way in my opinion)
- My Demon was obviously very hyped. Therefore, the high rating at the beginning. Over the time and especially now since it's ending, more and more people rate it. In my case, I think this drama is OK and average at its best. I'm not going to delve into it since I've already posted a long review.
- My point is... The rating of a drama is obviously always more representative AFTER it finished.
- It can also go the other way around. You could see that with My Dearest. The ratings were low at first and went up over time to a high rating of 8.9.
- Ratings are never a 100% representative for the drama. It's just an optional guideline.
- As for My Demon: The 8.7 was a high rating for MDL and in my opinion too high. You could translate an 8.7 to “Great”. Meanwhile the current rating 8.5 is more of a “Good”. Still too high for my personal taste

I really liked talking to you too. Honestly it's sometimes hard to find openminded and respectful people to talk to. Probably because they can't accept that everyone has a different perspective. Which doesn't mean that one perspective is better than the other. Actually my heart decides as well which dramas I like and which I don't. Sometimes it's hard to express in words how I feel about a drama.
But I feel like I have become more picky over the time. Probably because I have been watching Kdramas for a few years now...

I'm excited for this drama but... What's up with the title?😂 I'm not a native english speaker, but the title sounds somewhat weird. If they left 재벌 as Chaebol and not Flex, it would have sounded better. The double X in Flex X Cop sounds off. I only really understood the meaning behind the title after reading the korean title on the poster...

Whenever I imagined being in a time travel situation myself, I thought how difficult it would be to keep track of all release dates for books/music/new etc... and I also thought it would leave room for some interesting situations. And with that ending... we finally got it😂

I am not sure how this works behind the scenes but I wonder who came up with the idea? Maybe BigHit wanted BTS…
I'm not an army or anything but it's seems very unlikely. I don't think they would need this for promotion...

Mmh I think otherwise. Yes, Ak Hee is an important character, but Sajo Hyun is the ML. From early on Yeon Wol called Ak Hee the fake one and for me it's quite obvious that she is developing feelings for Sajo Hyun. But I do agree that Ak Hee needs to come back. The fight between Sajo Hyun and Ak Hee is way too interesting for him to disappear this early on...

I have seen many people irl like Soo min. She envies JW for many reasons (if you read the webtoon you would know…
Totally agree with you! I just wrote a similiar comment. It's so interesting, that it's so easy for us to recognize onscreen. But if we take a look at real life, it can be either hard to spot these people or hard to leave them because they know how to keep the people they are controlling, little and weak. They are masters in that regard and very skilled. Like a parasite is a good comparison.

Luckily I always recognized these manipulative people... But why do I feel like even in Kindergarten these people started being mean🥲
On Marry My Husband Jan 15, 2024
Seems like Ji Won unknowingly served Soo Min as a punching ball for all this time. Now that Ji Won strikes back, Soo Min fears of losing control. She needs Ji Won to be little and weak, so that she can feel better herself. On the outside appearing kind and sweet since she is friends with Ji Won. But actually using her as marionette and playing with her feelings. Probably because she can't deal with her own lousy life. Hee Yeon immediately noticed this.

She’s very obsessed with KJW too , I feel suffocated whenever she gives her that look
Totally! She needs everything Ji Won has...

The fact that I know a couple people like her irl makes it not too hard for me to watch. She does still get on…
"hard for me to watch" was very spefically meant for the punchable expressions of soo min. Totally agree with you... I feel like I know some Soo Mins in my personal life as well.

Yeah I watched the Glory. Im Ji Yeon is amazing. I guess with Marry my husband it is the subtlety of Soo Min. While Park Yeon Jin is a violent and brutal monster, Soo Min is a manipulative and cunning monster. I guess what stands out with this drama is, that I feel like I know people like Soo Min in real life. People like Yeon Jin do exist as well. But I think people like Soo Min, who are not openly violent, are more common in everyday life.
On Marry My Husband Jan 15, 2024
Soo Min is really getting on my nerves. I mean she has been since the begging... but it's really hard to watch her scenes. The way she is innocently pouting her underlip is giving me the ick. Song Ha Yoon is really good at acting. Never seen her before but she has definetly talent. Soo Min is not openly mean, but sly and manipulative. Quite realistic, sadly.

"But my expectations were really high and left me disappointed."It's like with everything, our expectations are,…
So you made this comment to tell me that my rating is unfair? Because I had expectations? I guess there are a few things to clarify...
1. First I want to say that I can respect your views on this drama and that you really liked it.

2. "It's like with everything, our expectations are, most of the time, unrealistic because they are based on our imagination". Well, there you said it... Humans have expectation at their surroundings, that's how they survived. I do read the synopsis of a drama to know if I am interested or I even watch the trailer to know if I am interested or not. That way I try to not waste my time on dramas I probably don’t like. I agree with you saying, that trailers can be misleading. But that’s the fault of the ones making these trailers. Don’t know what they are thinking :/

3. “But, seriously now, few Korean dramas reach perfection and, to mark one low because it wasn't the way we expected, that's not fair !” My question to you: At which point did I state that my rating is based solely on my disappointment that my expectations weren't met? I never said that. Yes, it influenced my rating. But I named other points, that influenced why I gave this drama a 6.5. It's not that I for example expected a thriller and gave it 1 Star, because it turned out to be a romcom. There were other flaws in the drama that I criticized. But I’m not going to repeat myself.

4. “But, seriously now, few Korean dramas reach perfection and, to mark one low because it wasn't the way we expected, that's not fair !” I never said I wanted perfection… I would be completely delulu if I expected perfection. Nothing’s perfect and that’s good. Would be boring otherwise. My favorite Kdramas have flaws. I don’t turn a blind eye to these flaws. Instead, I accept them and love these dramas anyway.

5. “But, seriously now, few Korean dramas reach perfection and, to mark one low because it wasn't the way we expected, that's not fair !” I already stated in my review that a 6.5 is a good rating in my rating system. Why do you say that this rating is low? I use the whole spectrum of the 10 Stars to rate my dramas. You can take a look at my profile, I even wrote there which rating means what: 9, 9.5, 10 : Personal Favourite / 8, 8.5: Great / 7, 7.5: Really Good/ 6, 6.5 Good/ 4.5, 5, 5.5: OK / 3, 3.5, 4: Bad/ 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 : Horrible. My theory is, many people on this site only use the stars 7-10. Otherwise, it would be hard to tell why the majority of Kdramas on this site are rated between 7-10. But that’s alright since I can usually transcript these ratings to my rating-system. If you take my 6.5 rating and compare it to the general rating of other dramas on this site, I can totally understand why you would say it’s a low rating. But this is MY review and rate dramas based on MY rating-system. I don’t conform to the rating-system of others. In all honestly, it would feel very unauthentic for me to do that. In order for everyone to understand my review, I stated that 6.5 I s good rating- directly in the first paragraph.

6. I believe a rating is unfair if: 1. you only watched one episode and already rate it 2. If you watch a romance drama and rate it low because it has no thriller elements 3. If you for example rate a series for children low, because it was childish. "Unfair" ratings would be all these people that rate dramas after watching 1 episode or that go around creating fake accounts to give their favorite drama a 10 again and again. I stated very clearly in my review why I gave this drama a 6.5 (again a good rating)

7. Even you stated that you experienced disappointment while watching dramas. So you surely must have had some expectations, otherwise couldn’t have been disappointed. My question to you is now: Did you really want to tell my rating is unfair because my expectations left me disappointed, or did you want to tell me that I should not have any expectations before watching a drama? If it’s the first, you must surely know now after reading my reply, that I don’t solely base my rating off that. If it’s the later, I don’t think I can do that. I still sometimes get hyped for a drama and have expectations. It’s difficult for me to have none and in all honestly a bit boring as well.

I hope you can now understand my point of view better and respect my rating. I never said that I’m a professional at rating. That’s why it’s totally subjective. We both experienced the drama differently and that’s okay. I can respect that. I can see why the drama is really loved despite of its flaws. And it’s good that everyone has a different perspective 😊 Wow this comment is way longer than I expected
