The FL's dad is shameless. Why are two women even fighting over this garbage?!The FL has become extremely dumb…
Re: The FL lead being a doormat for everyone except the male lead - that is a very annoying but pervasive trope throughout all Asian Drama i find. Even when a summary tells you she is a feisty independent woman when you start watching it turns out she is only ever that way with the male lead, with everyone else, including the 2nd male lead the fl tends to be passive. Some of the most famous dramas have this trope.
An enjoyable business romcom. One of the more amusing scenes though is in episode 12 when the dubbing team made a mistake and dubbed a woman with a man's voice ;p
I hope the female lead improves greatly. Cold Obnoxious CEOs are always unlikeable in the beginning, but in the first episode the female lead comes across more obnoxious and annoying than the traditional cold obnoxious CEO. She is only edged out in the unlikeable arena by her absolute manchild of a boss (not the ML CEO, guessing he is the 2ml). In fact there is no likeable character at all in the first episode except the mum in the flashback scenes.
I agree I hate the female voice dubbing in Chinese dramas.
The issue with the dubbing in Chinese Dramas is that they dub in the atrocious Beijing accent. It is a slurring accent that sounds like they are speaking with marbles in their mouths. It is why I find when the actors/actresses are able to speak with their own voices and accents it always sounds much better
also the female lead's outfits were so good, she rocked them. And the male lead looked good in spectacles
Even though the actress (Zhang Yu Xi) is not the greatest and her dramas are only 7/10 tier imo, she is always dressed well in her dramas. The Wardrobe designers must love working with her.
Ok just finished the whole thing and I can understand why a lot of people disliked it. The first 7 episodes are meh, the last 2.5 episodes suck. The only part really worth watching is episodes 8-13 where the romance gets going.
ALL the villains get forgiven/rewarded for their behaviour. The 2FL who is physically, mentally and emotionally abused by the 2ML and tries to commit suicide TWICE, is encouraged/pushed by the ML (her ex) to get back with the abusive 2ML in the end. The final episode barely has the Main couple in it as it is all about other characters.
Another drama where the female lead is a doormat; she submissively allows herself to be used as such by everyone EXCEPT the male lead. He is the only one she will get feisty with. And this is frustrating as why tf is he the only one she chooses to fight back against.
Hi guys what do you really mean by toxic? It is my first time to hear sth like "toxic drama"!!! Could someone…
The Toxic everyone is talking about in regards to this drama is a in regards to the relationships. A Toxic relationship is one where the one or both people in the couple would be better off going their separate ways. A Toxic Relationship usually occurs when one or both of the people in a relationship are experiencing one or more of these behaviours from their partner; Mental Abuse, Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Constant Manipulation, Gaslighting, Isolation from others, Excessive Control.
i really do not reply or make or like to make statements out of blue stating a seductive scale of actors and actresses…
eh, I tend to think both are pretty. It is just that Chinese romcom actresses tend to be in their 20s whilst korean romcom actresses tend to be in their 30s. Both look good though.
Help, I also want to watch Chinese and Japanese dramas but I can't seem to get used to with the language. I can't…
iT took me a long while to get used to CDramas. And a big part of that is the mumbly Beijing accent they often dub in. It just sounds like they are talking with marbles in their mouths. Taiwanese Dramas do not have this issue, nor CDramas that use the actors/actresses real voices. But Beijing accent dubbing is pervasive.
I like this but as is often the case with body switching dramas; the character of the body-switched male lead is nothing like the character of the not body-switched female lead. It feels like the ML actor is just portraying any generic female character rather than the character of the female lead.
Meanwhile i give props to Liang Jie, I feel she did a good job of portraying the character of the male lead, though she may have been helped by the fact that two major attributes of the male lead is stoic and taciturn.
SPOILERJust finished watching this drama. haha. I want to point out what I like and I dislike on this drama. DISCLAIMER:…
I agree with most of your good points except the second couple stuff. I liked Ruo Na well enough but detested Shang Ke, everytime he was on screen i wanted to ff. I just can not see what a woman like Ruo Na sees in such a weak incompetent manchild.
In regards to the 2ml vs the 2fml, the 2fm is worse. it is not even a contest. She was actively trying to destroy someone. The 2ml only tried to get someone to like him.
Maybe I have watched too many CDramas and read too many Cnovels but the ML is pretty tame as arrogant CEO ML's go. At least he did not make the FL belive she had cancer to trick her into marrying him.
Episode 11, no love, no fluff, ML still a jerk, annoying love triangle. Man I started this because I saw many…
I have just started this (up to ep 03) and whilst i do not disagree the ML is a jerk, i do feel he has shown interest and concern towards the FL at times in these three episodes, which is enough to keep my going.
when do they get together? what is your definition of "middle"? I am past the middle and at episode 20 (the two…
no worries. but if they are going to break up after the unnecessary drawn out frustration of episodes 10-20, before they even get together i think i might put it on hiatus for the moment.
I enjoyed it very much, the 5 episode in near end after the ml and fl got together were unnecessary, apart from…
when do they get together? what is your definition of "middle"? I am past the middle and at episode 20 (the two thirds mark) and they are still in the exact same position relationshipwise that they were at in episode 10, 10 episodes of the exact same "not quite there yet" frustration.
