Well…it’s not that it is bad. But it’s just a copy of absolutely every romcom cliché situation. And so…
I think copying romcom cliches is not neccesarily a bad thing. I love "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim" and have been very much enjoying "A Business Proposal".
I just feel there was a bit too many unlikeable or barely there characters. The brother was full on unlikeable in EVERY scene he was in no matter who he was sharing a scene with. The ML's secretary was barely there. The FL's Best friend was overly passive. So the entire Drama is carried only by the two leads
It is an unsatisfying ending, but it is also a happy one.
Don't get me wrong, It is a great show. And they do get together half-way though and make a wonderful couple. It is just that there is an event in the second to last episode that separates them, that won't get resolved until the last 2/3 minutes.
The issue for me with the other siblings storylines is that there was always one in the romantic pair I really…
The fact that her parents and Kefan was trying to force her to have a baby got on my nerves. Sure the fact she was hiding taking the pills was wrong, BUT it felt like her parents and kefan only saw her as a baby making machine and if she was not wanting to make babies at that time it meant she was broken.
This felt like a Japanese drama where story takes a back seat to concept. I actually think it is one of those…
huh, I am not "dragging" Japanese shows. IMO Japanese shows are often about concept over characters or story. American shows are often about story over concept or characters. British shows are often about characters over concept & story. This does not mean Japan cannot produce a show with good characters, America cannot produce a show with a good concept or Britain cannot produce a show with a good story. It also does not mean innovation is missing from any.
Talking about democracy but then petition to silence the opposite opinion is not democratic. The drama might offend…
Your democrat party is right wing to EVERYONE not an American. You do not have a leftwing-rightwing divide, you have a rightwing--extremerightwing divide. This is why you have to rely on gofundme to pay your medical bills, why tipping is mandtory, why you have some of the poorest consumer/employee/environmental/health & safety/privacy protection laws in the western world, why you have a mass murder every Tuesday, why you still have state-sanctioned murder. If Obama/Pelosi/Either Clinton/Biden were politicians in the UK/Australia/New Zealand they would be members of the Conservative parties.

What definition of "leftist"? American "leftists" are just right-wingers who are called "left" because the USA does not actually have a left-wing political party. They have a right-wing party (Democrats) and an extreme right wing party (Republicans). Which is what I guess you are using since in a previous post you defaulted to labeling "Left wing" as communist.
Shall I let you in on a little secret Pepop. The "Right Wing" parties in New Zealand, Australia, Germany and others are actually "left" of the Democrats which says a lot about how warped American political ideology is. But according to you all these countries are Communist hellholes.
It seems to come across that way, but I think it' setting us up for some heavy stuff.
This is a family drama (100 episodes). 5 episodes tell you nothing (10 episodes also tell you nothing). The judgement points for family dramas is episode 20 AND episodes 50. So basically you have to use the synopsis or the reviews to judge if it is worth the time.
I totally agree with the second thing you mentioned. The way they treated her when she seemed confused about whether…
I am not boasting about anything. "Pretty out there" is as a very common idiom, as is the use of "pretty" outside of describing appearance. I agree that that I got pretty condescending, but the poster was pretty much framing my comment as something it really was not.
Do you want spoilers ? I'll put it on a comment under with spoiler tag !
I am not really sure it counts as a love triangle. Sec Kim is never interested in the brother romantically. She is only interested in him in regards to solving the mystery.
I totally agree. Watch the whole series before commenting if you don't like this type of genre then stay away.…
I am sorry, but I feel that is a stupid arguement. You are basically saying only those who liked the show should be able to comment on a show. Because honestly only those who are really enjoying a show are going to be able to watch 40 episodes of a drama. Watching 3-5 episodes is generally enough to get a grasp of the characters, tone, and story of a show.
First episode and I am not really liking Gil Young. He is coming across as pretty dumb and weak, never a good combination in a character we are supposed to cheer for.
You haven't watched many CDramas then. This is a light middle of the road CDrama. There are a lot of them way…
the part of the drama where he illegally gets her kicked out of her apartment just so he can manipulate her to unknowingly move into his apartment so she is within his control & observation despite the fact it has been emphatically shown at that point that she detests him and has for a very long time. I am sorry for you people who think that type of obscene stalkerish controlling sexist behaviour as "sweet". He does not even see her own feelings/desires/dreams as valid only his fucking own feelings/desires/dreams. It does not matter if he "changes" later on, it was his go to scheme.
FFS the character would not be out of place as a rapey ml in a Thai lakorn and though I am always surprised by the number of supporters/defenders those characters receive on this site, I guess I shouldn't be, same as the ML in "Love is Sweet". At least when a male character tries to make a girl homeless to trick into moving into his house in a kdrama that male character is a bloody villain.
I do not know if it is connected, but both the 2fl and the ml's father wanted the gf gone and it is not beyond…
Fairly early on. He still treats her like crap because he thinks she was involved more than she was. She was in the car when the girl was hit but when the scummy lawyer got out to check, he clearly saw the girl dying by the road but told the fl that he had just hit a barrel. This is part of why the ml is so pissed because the girl was left dying alone by the side of the road. The female lead did not know they had hit a person until later.
Whilst I do like this there is a huge frustrating thing about the drama and that is the "good guys" can NEVER defeat the villains. Instead the villains just give up at the end even though they have won.
I just finished and it is very nice. Excellent chemistry between Mik and Aum, good script but the MDL tag's tricked…
The real kiss tag is mainly for Thai Lakorns and it just means that the male leads lips and the female leads lips touch each other, because that is not always the case with Thai dramas where fake/pretend kisses are not exactly uncommon.
So this a male chases female first lakorn so it obviously means the male lead started having feelings first he…
She can be attracted to him at the same time as hating him. There was a moment in the early episodes (where I think they were having dinner) and she looks at him in a daze. And I certainly do not think his attraction for her was anything deep either at the beginning. I saw his care for her motivated a lot by guilt.
IMO, I feel they both felt a mild attraction to each other, his boosted by guilt & responsibility, and hers by a mild case of stockholm syndrome. By around episode 8, they both have reached a stronger form of attraction (still not love though), and it deepens after that.
There are a lot of pros in this one. Mik acted so well while being an absolute eye candy. The story line of Mik’s…
I thought the female lead was fine, and I never really felt the female lead character was much older than the male lead. For me, the major con was the direction & the editing. The direction/editing made it feel like the director & editor were doing their first drama.
