None of the versions are good. The ML is trash in them all. The FL's family is trash in them all. Only watched this for Liang Jie (she, Rosy Zhao & Wan Peng are my fave Chinese actresses)

There is rarely consequences in Chinese (or Thai) dramas for antagonists. The Korean original also had no consequences

It is a hard line to tread. I feel fake kisses can ruin the immersion, BUT Chinese (and Thai) dramas have a really hard time making the leads not come across as just friends if they do not have kissing at all.

I very much agree about "Well-Intended Love", but what is wrong with the ML in "Love In Time"? I would put the ML from "Love is Sweet" on the same level as "Well-Intended Love" instead. Now he is one ML who it would not be surprising to be keeping women in a basement somewhere.

I really liked this drama. So much so that I tried to read the story it was based off. Big Mistake. I could not even make past 10 chapters. Other than some character names drama and novel had nothing in common. The characters are much more likeable and intelligent in the drama.

humans are all vastly different. some would be a lot more resilient than others. some would have severe torment, some will recover very very quickly.

there is many China Dramas based on "My Love From the Stars" and all of them sound very different in summary. "My Amazing Boyfriend"/"My Girlfriend is an Alien"/"Heirs from the Stars"/...

Because one of the two is more "extreme" does NOT make the other more acceptable. Both were terrible, both were "extreme" in their own ways, both are pretty unlikeable. Lets be honest here, Cheng Yi is too good for either of them. Her ending up in a relationship with either is basically "settling". She should have held out for a better guy to come along and someone better than either of the two options would most certainly have come along since Cheng Yi is a pretty great woman.

i am not really seeing how it was a plot-twist. He is a Chinese National who lived in Europe for a lot of his childhood. A plot twist would be him turning out to not be annoying as ....

This is a Mango TV show. In about 6-8 months you may get some eng subs that are worse than Google Translate. In about 1-2 years you may get some decent eng subs. Earlier if Viki picks it up.

I think most Romance Dramas very much do need kissing. This one certainly did. Because it is very difficult to show that a relationship is "more than friends" if you do not have PDAs. This Drama never really shows a romantic relationship between the leads, just a friendship.

not the only one. "Meeting You" is a wonderful drama where the leads are pretty much together the whole time. Instead of Amnesia/Noble Idiocy/Love Triangles/Fighting/Manipulation/Mind Games with each other, we get a pair of leads who love/support/respect/trust each other and are both equal in their relationship.

you must have really liked it, a 4 episode break up at the end because of noble idiocy is usually worth a 3 to 4 point ratings drop. Even an amnesia breakup is not as bad as a noble idiocy breakup

They more adopt each other. They both support each other through each other's weaknesses. People say this is boring because there is no amnesia/love triangles/constant breakups/noble idiocy/constant misunderstandings, or because they do not wait to get together until the last 2 minutes of the series; but to me it was one of the best relationships from a CDrama. Constant communication with each other, always supporting and trusting each other.

You can very much expect decent subs from places not Viki (and personally I feel Viki is less interested in translating to English than they are in translating to American). It is just than MGTV has worse translations than Google Translate.

I have not watched this drama, i am reading comments to see if it is worth watching. So I have absolutely no opinion on the "looks" of the leading actress. BUT I have to say your comment is just straight up nasty. Yes, you did not say "she is ugly" but you most definitely implied it. Then when someone else disagree, you resorted to blatant gaslighting. Saying you "respect" their opinion when your entire comment is showing you do not.
