I agree it did not feel Japanese, BUT nor did it feel "International" whatever the hell that means. It felt very very American. So much so, that you could predict dialogue before it happens.

huh. a five star/point rating system is NOT a a 4/40 point rating system masquerading as a 10/100 point rating system. A rating system where any number below 7/70 is pretty much non-existent. That IS an American rating system, whether movies, video games or anything really.

American style 10 star rating systems are always worth ignoring completely. I am told it is because 70-80 is considered barely a pass in their schooling system, so that is why they have weird 10 star rating systems where anything not 8-10 is trash. why use a 10 star system if you only utilise 4 numbers. weird.

i have only watched the first episode and the ml is so unlikeable i am not sure how they will reverse it; and to be honest, the fl did not leave a good impression either. The only likeable character was the mother. Do the leads improve?

That's the amusing thing, often the chaebols in these dramas are not old money (the grand-father or great grand-father made the money), they are all Nouveau riche which makes it amusing

i was just making a point that on kisskh, commenters tend to be way harsher on actresses and female characters. The ML could be in a Thai Drama where he uses rape as a seduction technique and you will still have a lot of people excusing the ML and criticizing the FL.

eh, i sort of disagree, sort of agree. Jung-sok is one of my favourite kdrama actors, but I feel he is also an actor who is dependent on his female lead. If his female lead is good, he is good. If his female lead is Bae Suzy, he is not good.

Dumb. There is a huge element of dumb pervading almost everything in "My Demon". I like the show, but I feel i should be liking it a lot more than I do. The ML's supporting cast is the most prominent example (both his butler and his fangirl), which means their idiocy taints the ML, But it infuses the entire show. Not to mention an omniscient villain is also always always dumb.

I would not exactly call insulting comments towards a FL on MDL a sign of a "hater", it is more a sign of the common everyday MDL commentators who are always thirsting for ML's whilst being extra mean towards the FL 's because they dare to be the romantic interest of their husbando.

I like this but why is the male lead so poorly dressed? None of his clothes fit him, in fact he looks like a kid wearing his dad's clothes. And it is not just him, the 2ml suits are also ill-fitting.
