You make a comment about an event, other people question you, and you turn an around a say "nothing".

I have watched "About is Love" where the leads don't get together until the last episode of a 30 episode drama, (and then at the start of Season 2 they have already broken up lol). It was a frustrating series full of misleading teasing of the leads getting together in the end of an episode only for the following episode to reveal "nah".

Is this show like that?

i think it could have been fine if they dropped the detectives/agents side story. They added nothing at all to the story.

Also having supergirl fighting to save the sister/brother in the final fight would have added more tension to that battle instead of the lackluster revenge fight we got after they were already dead.

i do not believe in rating a show/movie i have not seen completely so no worries about me giving it a rating of 1.

BUT there is no believable character development that can ever make a gaslighting manipulator a good or even decent romantic partner for anyone. In real life this would be even more true. These type of people will NOT change that behaviour, especially not for "true love". It is part of who they are. And actually a murderer would be more likely to change than the him. The FL falling in love with the ML will not be romantic, it would be tragic

i like the fl also, but the ml is too detestable to ever accept as the destine romantic partner of the fl. When they get together she would only ever face a life of constantly being gaslighted & manipulated by the ml. That is not a love story, it is a tragedy.

watched the first two episodes and i am not sure how you are supposed to watch any more. The ML is detestable as a human being. Detestable! How can anyone keep watching that this detestable guy is going to gaslight and take advantage of his eventual romantic interest.

She has always been great and memorable in the roles i have seen her in; pity they have all been supporting roles. Would like to see her take the lead in a romantic drama

i liked season 1, despite it being frustrating, BUT the leads did not really get together until the last episode of season one. Now Season 2 starts with them being broken up for the past three years. Not sure i can do it again when they probably wont get together until the last episode again.

but i did not find her naive. I found her lazy, spoilt and entitled.

one thing bothering me about this, the "King The Land" waitstaff are extremely proud & elitist about their university degrees so they look down on the fl. They are waitstaff! Now there is nothing wrong with being waitstaff, but being elitist about going to university to become waitstaff is weird and alien to me.

Thank you very much for your recap. Youtube clips of their romance made me interested in the show, but your recap made me decide to watch it immediately. Always a sucker for a romance where the leads trust each other.

I watched a clip on youtube about the romance between the maid and the stepson which got me interested in this drama. So i have two questions. 1) Does that romance have a happy ending? 2) If that romance is your main interest in watching the drama is it worthwhile to watch the drama?

aah, so another chinese pseudo-pedo romance. The FL is imprisoned and starts training the ML when he is 7 or 8 years old.

I think Parallel Love (the FL) only went back in time 10 years (and did meet her younger self), so the end was about the ml waiting 10 years for the fl to become the person he knew and fell in love with and for her to come to find him.

The acting is not great but i did like the idea, characters and story).

Parallel Love did not have it and it was about Time Travel, though there was nothing supernatural about it. But I take your point. Thank you for the explanation.
