Why? I have only seen a few of her dramas and I dont consider her either a good actress nor a bad actress. I am…
hmm, looking at this comment from 4 years later is interesting (interesting in a cool ironic way, not interesting in a criticizing way). I just watched this actress in the "The Ingenious One" where i thought she was awesome. She was playing a kick ass martial artist and i loved her character. She did not act childish at all and in fact was one of the few actresses who felt natural as a martial artist who killed people. I was so impressed i decided to look up her other roles and saw your comment.
Now like i said, not here to criticize your opinion, just found it interesting and ironic since my experience with the actress seems to be opposite of yours.
i am only 2 episodes in and does the female lead ever stop fangirling over the male lead every second of the day? No matter what persona he has, actor or gamer, her constant fangirling is extremely annoying. Coupled that with her extreme incompetence in everything she does, makes her not very likeable so far.
So we have a FL whose personality is incompetent fan-girl and a ml who is rude, arrogant and emotionless = he is as charismatic as a brick.
negative this is dubbed, if you can't handle dubbed drama's then this is not for you.
the main issue with dubbed [for me anyway] is the Beijing accent, which is often like they are talking with marbles in their mouths. But i did not think it was that bad here. or maybe i have just gotten used to it
is the second lead, the fl's best friends creep brother? 5 episodes i am not exactly liking the ml (or the fl to be fair), but i extremely dislike creepy brother. To be fair, i do find the character archetype to be terrible anyway; creepy, stalker, friend/brother who does not want to be a friend but pretends to be a friend.
The villains have no motivation for everything they do, and problems just follow the JR team everywhere and come…
i am only 4 episodes in and i still don't understand why the fl freaked out at the ml after he carried her in the match for her stream. I was fully onboard with her grudge until that bewildering scene. It very much does feel like she used him for the carry then threw him away. Her grudge after that just makes her annoying and unlikeable.
the chinese jingoism in episode 4 was so cringy i had to laugh. The guy picks a frying pan over an american made gun, but then grabs the chinese made gun as soon as he finds it.
I watched this a few years ago when i was first trying out C-Dramas (I don't think i ever finished it). But I just watched the FL in the movie "The Eye of the Dragon Princess" where she was fantastic. It is amazing how a better script and budget can change your opinion on someone's acting.
i like Shin Hye Sun and i really want to like this, but two episodes and her character is giving off major manic pixie dream girl vibes. Is this her characterization for the whole drama or does she move beyond the mpdg?
i am always extremely suspicious [on MDL] of claims by commenters that the FL is a bad actress whilst at the same…
I have watched the first 3 episodes and as i suspected there is no difference between the quality of either the ml's or the fl's acting. Neither is great, but again neither is the worst. Average all round. The only difference between the two is that one is expected to be more stoic and expressionless than the other. Guess what stoicness/expressionless is NOT ' amazing acting'. Congrats on your complaint being exactly what i suspected it was.
I feel like i am missing something after i watched the first few episodes. It felt extremely disjointed and messy in it's storytelling. Example, at the start the FL goes out in the snow to find someone and meets the other villagers. Then the next scene the ML is carrying her on his back? Why? If she was so weak she needed to be carried back why did she go out in the first place, especially since she did absolutely nothing whilst she was except to be carried back. . It feels the scene only existed to show the ml carrying the fl and they forgot to put a story about why. And much of the first episode is filled with this strange messy storytelling.
He was call ice cube for a reason lol. And also fl is younger and in love but she does mature. If you like the…
i am not as down on the acting as Allafalf, but I still have issues with the two main characters. Neither of them are likeable and both are pretty obnoxious. Though, i do find the female main character worst since she constantly whinges about any hardship whilst being extremely lazy.
I have only watched the first two episodes though, so when do the main characters become likeable (if they ever do)?
I had love and hate relation with this drama...I started it but dropped it on ep 7Again started watching..I was…

There is a few of them, but they are indeed rare. The Best of You in my Mind (2018) // Fake Princess (2020) //…
Maybe "My Classmate from Far Far Away (2018)" though i am not sure if it passes the 'not a mess' criteria since it is about an immortal alien soldier trapped in a teenage girl's body.
This drama's first episodes were-15% Jeju island tourism landscapes -25% porcupine slug hybrid demons made of…
I have only watched Episode 1 and the FL is a straight up moron. First she is warned by her Aunt, that she is gunning for her. So 5 minutes after the warning, the FL assaults someone in public.
Then as soon as she arrives in Jeju, she is attacked by a demon. Then the next evening, she not only stops the car in the middle of nowhere and gets out of the car, she then decides to leave said car and walk. the VERY NEXT evening after being attacked by a demon. WTF.
I will have to rethink whether to continue this as this much stupid can be contagious.
don't worry ending was nice the whole series is very nicely written. it just need little romance between kim ji…
The "romance" did not exist at all. You had three women obviously interested in him for, what was it, 8-10 years show time and nothing happens. Each of those three women drift in and out of the show in the exact same manner. In fact he had a closer relationship with Sang Gae.
Then in one tiny scene at the end he and the female lead announce they "are dating and getting to know each other". This scene is not romantic. It is tying up loose ends. In fact if you removed this brief 30 second scene, you would not even be able to tell there was a female lead in the first place, considering all three women had the same screen time, the same character arcs, the same importance to the story.
