ENDING IS SOMETHING SUNWOO WOULD DOSunwoo, when coming home to Rara would always stop in front of the school,…
You may have explained why his behaviour is "in character", BUT you have also explained why he is a very toxic person for Rara to have in her life as anything more than a very casual aquaintence she sees once a year.
Ambiguous. Most of the times without direction, and I keep questioning why Im siwan's character has no facial…
I was thinking the above synopsis is a mess that tells us nothing about the story, only the characters but it sounds like from your post, the drama has no story
The love triangle is one sided. The main couple never really falter in their love. Even when the cliche amnesia plot kicks in the third wheel never really has a chance
I do not really get the love for the character. He tends to be the same off stage as he is on stage so he really does not have that as an excuse. The similarities between him and his father are played up suggesting the same capacity for abuse. I can get people appreciating the actor, but not those liking the character.
Came to watch this because I wanted something lighthearted and boy it was not lighthearted at the end. It was…
In the beginning I felt they were slowly developing the Joo Da/Dan Oh friendship but that was pretty much dropped after the first few episodes and they never interacted again. That was a wasted opportunity imo because the entire Joo Da/Nam Joo storyline started to feel disassociated from the main storyline around the same time.
I can not help but think if that Joo Da/Dan Oh sismance had happened, Joo Da would have tied into the main storyline a lot more thus making it more likely for Do Hwan/Joo Da to be endgame. I did not like Nam Joo at all.
I dont understand the high rating.Maybe i must stop this genre. The ml was sweet and cute. The fl was really pretty…
The cousin was let go, because they were never going to get the money back, and the cousin was close family and it is always a tough choice to prosecute close family (except maybe for Americans). I do not think she forgave him, just chose not to send him to jail which is a fair decision.
The friend was ok, nothing special, but ok, but I extremely disliked the friend's boyfriend. I did not like their romance at all and I feel the romance actually hurt the friend as a character. I just did not like the boyfriend's character at all.
I liked the sister, I also liked the sister's romance UNTIL her boyfriend tried to be all "I AM MALE, I AM RIGHT". Fuck that shit, she should have dumped that actor right then and there. Even now when I rewatch I am not invested in either side couple's romance.
BUT the main couple is adorable and well worth the watch imo.
How much of an age gap are we talking here? She just left high school and he is how old exactly?
The age gap is not the issue. The issue is that he is her teacher. I am usually not bothered by age gaps. BUT I absolutely draw the line at teacher/student romances (mainly because I rarely consider them romances and more taking advantage - which the male lead absolutely does here)
wouldnt that be very difficult? I mean cause of the airing of both dramas ( werent they airing almost at the same…
I am two episodes in and I am thinking of dropping it because of the creepyness & ickyness of the male lead and his friend. I wish the synopsis had said it was a teacher/student romance because then I would not have bothered.
the ml treated the fl like literal trash, hated his character
I am not liking him (or his friend) and I have only watched the first two episodes. I did not realise from the summary he was going to be a teacher (and her teacher to boot). Watching this you get such a sense of ickyness from both the male lead and his mate "Liang" that you feel like taking a shower. WTF sort of teachers are they.
Is the female lead the one who approach the male lead first?
No she does not. She moves next door to him and accidentally falls asleep at the wrong house, but that is the extent of it from her side. She actually does not like him. There is something very icky about this drama. She is a student, he is a teacher but he wants her to sleep with him (sleep as in sleep). In fact there is something very icky about him and his friend in general with how they play sports with the students and have student groupies.
You could try these. They're mainly sweet and simple drama without draggy and unnecessary conflicts, hopefully…
I will double recommend "Intense Love" & "Way Back Into Love" & "My Dear Lady". I absolutely do NOT recommend "My Neighbour Can't Sleep" unless you are into teachers [male lead] pressuring their student [female lead] into sleeping (non-sexual) with him.
For me, this drama was okay but I hated the fact that the female lead kept acting stupid in some ways. Tbh, I…
I think you have a different definition of weak than I do. So far (I am up to episode 5) it is the male lead who is weak. The female lead works hard constantly to try and overcome her obstacles whilst the male lead is constantly wanting to give up.
I am up to episode 5 and despite liking the story and despite liking both leads, I really do not want the female lead to end up with the male lead. He really does not deserve her. She deserves someone much better than any of the males in this show.
And I really hate the whole "have the male lead make the female lead a maid" trope asian drama is so fond of.
At this point, I think the second couple is the only reason why I continue to watch. The scenes where she’s trying…
I really like the female lead but I find the male lead tedious. I feel the show drags whenever he is on screen. He makes every scene he is in dull. (And the actor seems to have one expression - constipated). The female lead on the other hand is energizing when she is on screen except when on screen with him.
Watching the first 10 minutes of episode 8 gave me a toothache LMAO
I am up to episode 5. And I like a lot of it. BUT the male lead is as interesting as watching paint dry. Whenever he is on screen, I feel like fast forwarding the scene. Not even his "mysterious" past can make him interesting, in fact it just makes him more tedious (and it does not help that the actor portraying him seems to have a constant look of constipation expressed on his face). Does he ever improve? Or he is going to be someone you just have to endure?
I can not help but think if that Joo Da/Dan Oh sismance had happened, Joo Da would have tied into the main storyline a lot more thus making it more likely for Do Hwan/Joo Da to be endgame. I did not like Nam Joo at all.
