I really like this EXCEPT for whenever the male lead is on screen. His very presence makes a scene dull as dishwater. I get they are trying to play up his mysterious past but frankly he is not charismatic or interesting enough for me to care about his mysterious past. Whenever he is on screen I can feel myself losing interest in the drama fast.
You are right. Despite my dislike of the character, it is quite obnoxious for me to suggest those who do like him would also like ... I will delete that post
Siblings are like that, well most of them, i have 2 boys and 1 girl and when they get into fights I become like…
I am a sibling, I have kids who are siblings and I grew up with a bunch of cousins who were like siblings. Siblings are NOT like that. I detest two of my siblings who I have little to with as an adult and even then we never stole from each other. The female lead's brother is NOT just getting into fights with her, he is stealing from her, every comment a putdown and his life's mission seems to be to hurt her. That is Not normal sibling fighting.
I hope they'll follow the webtoon plot!! I prefer seo jun with jugyeong ♡
Really? oh, if that is the endgame, I might as well stop now. The guy is as nasty, self-centred and obnoxious as her brother. And the only reason he "chases" her is because the lead is chasing her. If he is endgame there is no reason I am going to bother continuing. If I want that type of character to get the girl, I would watch a Thai Lakorn with the tags "Slap/Kiss" or "Rape".
When I was reading the webtoon, I was always team suho but watching the drama feels like suho is kinda boring,…
Seriously? I have not watched the webtoon, but you think Seojun is a better match? Might as well pair her up with her brother. Both have that same self-centred, entitled obnoxiousness where they deliberately say things to hurt and make fun of people.
Yes I dont like him when he calls her own sister ugly :( other than that he is okayish
I have a huge issue with the males in her family. Both father and son are thieves who think of nothing in regards to stealing from family. There is nothing at all likeable about either so far and I am up to episode 4. And the mother is not much better. The only one who is not a huge pimple in her life is her sister.
I can see him falling in love with her. Because he WAS the big brother at first. He supported and protected her…
I do not think the FL lead is immature at all. The first episode, I had a very negative impression of the female lead. I thought the character was in the mold of the traditional Chinese drama female leads; dumb and a pushover. Later episodes proved how wrong I was. She did not cave into the main girl's demands because she was a pushover, but because she did not care enough to be bothered. Sure there is a surface level childlike innocence, but she is actually a very mature thoughtful woman. But because she tries to be positive about things I believe people misinterpret her. I think she is a very complex character played wonderfully by the actress.
I love the leads in this. Especially the female lead. Watching the first episode you thought she was just going to be a traditional type of female lead that the Chinese like so much, "dumb and a pushover". BUT she is neither. She is a complex character played exceptionally by Moon Ga Young.
She is great in this and I love her relationship with her sister. Do NOT get too invested in her romance though as the actor (idol singer) encouraged/supported his fans when they attacked Kim Seul Gi. The guy is an arrogant twat.
I looove this!Anchornim is the best ?I dont really like the second couple, the guy (jo ilkwon) acting was awkward…
It does not help that the actor (really an idol singer) supported his fans in ragging on the actress who played his girlfriend so even though I am only on ep6 I am already predisposed to dislike the arrogant sod's character.
Overall I enjoyed the drama. While the story wasn't particularly innovative or new, (maybe the concept of not…
I can see him falling in love with her. Because he WAS the big brother at first. He supported and protected her once he found out her identity. He seemed to have an obligation in that regard to make sure she was safe and happy. He also had ex-girlfriend's memories of Ha Jin that she expressed to him (that he could never forget). It is very natural imo for all those memories, obligations and feelings to transition into romantic love over time. It is not like it was love at first sight or even love straight away after realizing her identity. It was a process which makes it extremely believable to me.
If you accept the relationship with the ex, I am not sure how you can have a "generation gap" qalm with Ha Jin considering they are the same age.
While I feel your comments about most of the cast is correct, I believe you are being a bit unfair to the mum.…
Ok, I am not here to say your opinion is wrong or invalid but I feel you are going to have to explain this to me.
I disliked the relationship between the male lead and the female lead immensely. In fact I tend to dislike any male lead who thinks the female lead should be his maid.
BUT I saw absolutely nothing "rude" in the behaviour of the mum. And I am not sure what her being rich or educated is supposed to mean. Is this a cultural thing where it only makes sense if you are a particular culture? I am neither NAmerican or Chinese so maybe I have missed some context here.
Sadly this seems to only be available on Dramacool, and even then it is missing 5 episodes (e17, e23, e27, e28, e29). Viki as is often the case has a listing but episodes are only available to some secret non-existent region that VPN's can't find.
Why do Korean and Taiwanese actresses seem to give up acting after marrying a Chinese man? I have enjoyed a lot of Chae Rim's drama and would have like to have seen a lot more from the last 8 years
Watched it for the first time this year and I honestly thought it was overrated. Maybe it was decent during 2013...…
I also watched it for the first time this year and I found it delightful. One of the best Kdramas I have seen (and I have watched a lot since I first started watching kdramas at the beginning of the year).
