Ppl are glazing this bc of the anticipation and cast
Generally a nice drama, but not for this genre and definitely not what someone would expect by the title.It starts off very well by presenting He Yan's tragic story, giving a good reason for revenge that draws interest. However, they didn't exploit this reason as they should have. Her character was empty and unrealistic. She wants to get back what was taken from her but most of her thoughts are not about her personal development. I understand that this is her character and how she feels happy and comfortable with Xiao Jue, but when someone blinds you and throws you off a cliff as if you didn't exist, you can't behave like that all the time. Also, the feminist messages felt like an advertisement. Most of them didn't even stick to the points they were made to make.

Great and unique drama
This drama is incredibly well done. The story is captivating and fast-paced, with seamlessly embedded modern elements. The chemistry between the leads is fantastic, LTY is innocent and wants to spread happiness. She is relatable, and her thoughts reflect those of the viewer. SJ seems ruthless on the surface but he is also smart and can identify everyone’s motives. He softens through LTY and finds peace in her. The casting is perfect, as all the actors are talented and skilled. Additionally, both the cinematography and the OST are beautiful and deepen the feelings of each scene. Overall it is unique, I hope it will get the recognition it deserves.Was this review helpful to you?

Started off nicely, with a beautiful cinematography, interesting plot and characters. And then ended up a complete mess. I hated Bai Jiusi and Li Qingyue and Hua Ru Yue. So much drama, personal grudges, hatred and romance at the same time just made the story complicated. I totally understand that this is a revenge plot , love and hatred at the same time but losing a child because of a man doesn’t seem like a good enough reason to take that kind of revenge. And I don’t mean revenge in general, but more precisely the fact that Ru Yue decided to fool him be all lovey dovey with him, pretend to be innocent and then get her revenge, it just seemed so out of nowhere. Despite all that, I really enjoyed the storytelling, how the secrets were unfolded and the ending, I believe it was suitable for the story.
