Thanks for recommending it! I started watching it and now I am on ep 11. I'm really liking it so far. Some things are a bit unrealistic but they don't distract too terribly from the story. I really like the relationship b/t the two mains and their battle of wits.
As I've gotten older, I've started to like shoujo less and less. I'm glad to see more josei adaptations…
Ha ha! I never say no to hot guys! ;P Especially since both Fukushi Sota and Yamazaki Kento are both actually several years older than the characters they portray.
anyone know drama like that? about student-teacher, with dark story?
If you haven't seen it, I really recommend Majo no Jouken (student x teacher). It is really good. Lipstick is another really good drama (the jdrama- not the kdrama with the same name). It is about the romantic relationship b/t a juvenile delinquent and her prison guard. It is not student x teacher but it is very dark and very good. A Secret Love Affair (kdrama) is about the relationship b/t a piano teacher and her student. The student is older (college age) but it is also very good and dark. A heads up though- the piano teacher is married so if infidelity is a turn off then you should skip it. Hope that helps!
As I've gotten older, I've started to like shoujo less and less. I'm glad to see more josei adaptations like Hapi Mari and Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai. Since I'm no longer a high school student, I can't really relate to the characters in shoujo anymore.
Frankly, story 4 is just ridiculous. I can't believe that women stayed with her husband for so long. I love story 5 though. Rocket News is an awesome website. I love reading their articles and I can definitely picture their employees doing something crazy like that.
Well, this is a bit late since I just happened to see your comment by chance but nyaa has it. Search for "koukou kyoushi." It is a torrent, not a download though just to warn you. If you are ok with torrents nyaa is a pretty good resource- especially for the older 90s dramas/movies that are hard to find elsewhere.
Wow. There are so many great manga being adapted. It sucks that FMA is not being released until Dec. That is so far away, especially since we will have to wait until it is released on DVD and then be subbed.
Has anyone else realized that in one drama we have: Detective L, Inspector Koichi Zenigata, Prosecutor Kuryu Kohei, Section Chief Himekawa Reiko, and Detective Kameyama Kaoru? Lol. Japan definitely loves its mystery dramas.
This sounds like another typical Kimutaku drama where he will be playing the same inspirational character as always…
I miss the days when he played the darker anti-hero type characters like in Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi (A Million Stars Falling from the Sky) and Nemureru Mori (A Sleeping Forest). Well, actually I just kind of miss the Japanese 90s dramas. ;)
Thank you so much for posting the full link for "Bara no Youni Saite Sakura no Youni Chitte". Although I found the drama to be somewhat disappointing (especially given my high hopes for it), I fell in love with the theme song. I'd never heard of Matsuda Seiko before the drama so I was glad to have found a new fave singer.
